My grandparents used to be docents there and used to live there for awhile. I spent most of my early childhood there, I remember racing my grandma from the house to the gate trying to catch up to my mom's car as she would have to go to work and drop me off there. My handprint is there on one of the legs of the windmill. I was only 2 years old at the time when I got to do it back in '97. It's cool to be a part of history and have so many memories of that place, only to realize that it's a historical part of Simi Valley and California but at the time when I was a kid, I just thought it was my grandparents house. My grandparent's handprints, my mom and older brother's handprints are also on a leg of the windmill. Grandparents are Norman and Neva Helmuth. I visit this place every year on my grandma's birthday and the day she passed away in remembrance of her since she passed away 10 years ago. This place has changed so much since my grandparents had worked there and lived there but I can still remember how it used to look. Beautiful place. Amazing memories. I'll be visiting in a couple of hours today since today would be my grandma's birthday

The nice lady that works there explained to me so much. The buildings are still the original and still intact. It is fascinating to see how historical building have been preserved and to see how much society have changed.
It is a BIG outdoor area. In certain days you can also tour inside the buildings

It's free to roam around but I strongly suggest to pay for the tour. It costs just $5, you will know the history of the place and get inside of all historical buildings. Almost everything is original and well preserved.

I had an absolutely amazing time! Dorothy, the tour guide was the best, I've seen lots of historical artifacts, furniture and clothes.

Cool park that has like an old west town! Friends held their wedding there. It was neat, they have an old time chapel where the ceremony was. And a big barn like building where the reception was, it was all decorated and very nice.

This is a beautiful location. Unfortunately, I did not think to take photos. My wife and I took a class about destructive insects. It is a good class and the presenter was quite knowledgeable and well organized.

Had our wedding reception here. Fun place! Great staff and overall experience.

We liked that the venue accommodates large groups and that we could bring in our own food vendors (which we did)

wow! if you can get a tour with steve, you’re in luck! i went here two years ago, and have been meaning to write this. this guy dedicated more time and effort to this city than most politicians do. he is a witty creative writing author, so you are sure to have a well narrated tour… and yes, he will answer your ghost questions but you gotta go for sure to the day of the dead event i have a cool shirt still from that! also tune in for some cool displays like the creepy dolls.

steve demski you’re the best!

Great place to explore how people lived and farmed in the early "western" days. Also a beautiful garden to relax and meditate.

This place is bigger than expected from the street. All the history is relative to today. The staff are super friendly and well informed. It was nice to take my time and look at everything. I loved the store and the barber shop too. I highly recommend visiting. Its worth it. It's like a whole new town. You forget where you are and forget all the cares of the day. Its very relaxing. Please go and show yoursupport.

We just left and are really impressed with the information we received. The park itself is clean and well kept, yet still maintains an historic charm. We'll be back!

We are an entertainment company in Simi Valley and have done hundreds of events at Strathearn Historical Park. We absolutely love Ruby and Karen as well as the rest of their team! This venue is very unique with its rustic yet elegant atmosphere as well as it also being a museum. By far one of our favorite venues to be part of!
