Did not expect to find this gem. Just walked in thought it looked cool. Every aisle is something refreshing and unique! The main store has all these ornate costumes with various themes like cleopatra, saloon, warriors, etc. the other store is like a gag gift store but on steroids. I’ve never seen any store this tapped in to quirky things. Like we saw a whole section dedicated to avocado items and a book dedicated to Timothee Chalamet 😂

I have been coming to this specialty gift shop since I was a child, and it is still as fun now, as it was then. This gift shop has every little item you can think of for friends or family with all sorts of options to choose from for any special occasion or personality. I’m sure you can find something for everyone here.

This is the coolest novelty shop I've ever encounter in all my travels. They literally carry everything your little heart desires, from Unicorn cards to unicorn stuff animals to mermaid tails, all kind of Frida novelties, Star Wars, Star Trek, even marvel and DC Comics novelties. Just really great merchandise and awesome customer service. Employees are really helpful and friendly also. Great place to visit!!

The store is always a delight to shop in. So many amazing and unique trinkets and gifts to look at. Could easily spend an hour or two lost in the store. Don't forget that if you stop by to take time to take the elevator or stairs which are located outside to the second and third floors to visit their Halloween store. You will be blown away. Amazing. It used to be only open during October but now it is open year-round. If you are in Sacramento or Old Sacramento you absolutely have to stop at this store. The prices on items are extremely reasonable too.

Wow, just get ready to be blown away at the staggeringly large inventory! This is truly the place for fun, quirky gifts and top-notch costumes. It spans three floors in a gorgeous vintage building. The staff is helpful and kind. The greeting card selection is the best there is (if you're looking for one that is funny or dorky). Set some time aside....as time flies within these captivating walls.

There is so many items here, two levels of costumes. Nora was super helpful with wigs and gave us all the important information we needed to maximize our time there. Nora helped us find what we were looking for as well. Alice checked out our stuff for us efficiently too, very nice overall and i will return.

My family has come here for years and its always amazing. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Very accommodating and if they actually dont have what we need, they know many other local stores that do. Local promotion is a big deal. ☆Whoever comes up with the music playlist has the best taste in music.

I ALWAYS drop in when I visit Old Sac, as well as when preparing for Halloween. Fun, amazing displays and I love that there are different category spaces of costumes. Makes it easier to locate that ONE special item you need to complete your ensemble.

Love, love, Love! There are so many different aspects of the shop all under one roof. The gamers area, black light, mermaids, woodsy, masquerade, family and more. Oh, and let's not forget the cats. So many options for cute gifts, accessories for the perfect outfit or the last item to decorate a punk wall. Take 5, find parking and check it out, you won't be disappointed!

The best place in Sacramento to get a costume for Halloween or events/parties. They have a huge selection of costumes and accessories at great prices. Also a great place for other novelty items in the heart of old Sacramento

Novelty shop. Open year round. Three stories. Has an elevator. Though not sure if it was working when we went over the weekend. The second and third floors get a little hot but that’s to be expected during summer. As by the pictures. There is stuff EVERYWHERE! I got dizzy looking at everything. You can get something for everyone. You could spend hours just on the first floor. And watch your step. The floor is on different levels.

This 2022 season, they've DOUBLED their selection of GREAT Halloween Masks.
If you've ever worn one, you know they're 🔥HOT🔥! The remedy for that, is to use sharp scissors to cut holes in the mask, for ventilation.
Most of our body heat escapes through the top of our heads.🤯
If you "cap that off" with rubber that doesn't breath, the heat will circulate around & continue to get hotter as it slowly cooks your brain as if it was in a microwave until it can find some other way to escape.
Cut the mask around the eyes, for better Vision.
Cut the nostril holes bigger and the mouth except for the teeth, lips and tongue,
(if there is one).
Anywhere that's painted black or unnecessary, cut out. Even behind the ears cut that off! If you can see your face thru the holes you just made, you can take black T-shirt material or something else thin, that you can breathe through, but not see-through and glue it on the inside of the Mask over the holes.
OR, you can cover your face with black grease paint with (translucent powder) or, baby powder to set it, so it doesn't rub off. Then no one can see your face.
I also recommend wearing a bandana on your forehead to keep any sweat from running into your eyes.
I have been known to cut the entire top, AND back, off the mask if it's not necessary or seen from the front. You can install elastic straps to hold it on. Masks are great for quick scares of the neighbors and kids. Also, if you work in a Haunted House Attraction. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
HAVE FUN!!!
