Great place. Food was spectacular. Short ribs were spot on. We were not disappointed. We did not leave with leftovers if that is a statement on how good the food was. Pictured is the roasted beet salad.

Never disappoints! They even let's us take home the wine & butter sauce leftover from the mussels & clams! We are so bougie!

Wonderful experience for me! I have developed some food sensitivities to garlic onions and gluten, which make eating out nearly impossible! Who knew the place that could accommodate me best in Olympia would be an Italian restaurant. Usually at a restaurant I’m stuck with one choice, and so much is left out it’s not even a complete meal. This is the first time I’ve been able to participate in a full meal from start to finish at a restaurant. I was so happy - I nearly cried! I was brought gluten free bread to start, had many choices for an appetizer, main and dessert. I left with a full, happy tummy, and even better- no bad reactions! Everything was prepared beautifully and so delicious! Thank you for being so careful and accommodating to people with food sensitivities, instead of making them an afterthought. Can’t wait to come back to try more of the menu!

Nice place. Loved the homemade pasta. My wife's lasagna tasted great but was a little burnt on the bottom. Great crafted cocktails, nice wine list, and perfect deserts. I'd go back.

Great place. Unexpected for this street in Olympia. We went for New Years. They had a special menu. Great place to impress a date or just have a very nice meal. Posted a couple pictures but there was 5 courses with the meal. The steak was amazing. Order rare to get medium rare.

Update 9/13/23: we returned here after over 2 years (we don’t visit this area very often). The food was not a let down. And once again we were impressed at the pride they take in their dishes. We had chicken and lamb. My wife has always not liked lamb and got the chicken. She liked my lamb dish so much she even asked to switch dishes. Then the dessert… wow!

This was an amazing gem. They make most of their stuff from scratch and they are impressively good. My wife has many good allergies. We came here and they navigated her allergies perfectly. At the end they created a dessert item that they had never done before from scratch and my wife almost cried it was so good.

Everything was perfect. Attentive wait persons, delicious pasta (gf available, even ravioli) and quiet, comfortable atmosphere. Padded seats on the chairs and a coat closet.

Excellent little Italian spot with great hand-made pastas and a entree dishes. They have a nice selection of Italian wines and spirits as well. There are plenty of gluten-free options including GF pastas and bread. Braised short ribs were excellent as well as the polenta. Staff is very friendly. We went on a Tuesday night and it got rather busy in this cozy little restaurant. Be patient as you may have to wait a little. We will be back!

A wonderful Italian meal! Olympia has three excellent Italian restaurants and Basilico is the fanciest of the three. Many absolutely delicious entrees, appetizers, and desserts... Very Italian! Excellent wine choices and unique cocktails. Decor is old Italian, classic, but it is hindered by what is outside the restaurant. Downtown Olympia, destitute humans heavily addicted, unstable, or forgotten. It's just sad. Years ago, Basilicos was packed on a Saturday night, this Saturday night we saw only four other parties arrive during our dinner. I'm not sure how any business will survive the "downtown experience" for much longer.

Amazing experience. A lot of good tastes in each bite that blew my mind. Also, the service was great. If you go, I suggest try some appetizers since they have a lot of good options.

Thank you for the perfect customer service from the moment we walked in the door! The Gluten-Free options were plentiful and melt in your mouth delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by and thoroughly enjoyed the simple dinner salad and the entrees were scrumptious! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Wow!!! The pasta may have looked boring but holy cow did it taste amazing, so many layers of flavor!! The braised pork was delicious too and the dessert was awesome! The waitress was super kind and helpful. My only only complaint is the calamari could have been a bit crispier but it was a lovely experience and I will definitely want to come back!

Absolutely phenomenal service, atmosphere and food! Went on a date on a whim with the boyfriend and was not disappointed. The drinks were fantastic, the owner was attentive and extremely helpful in helping us figure out what to eat on his incredibly appetizing menu. We started with the charcuterie and not only was it beautiful, but it was as tasty as it looked. The appetizer bread was warm and soft, and he offered to bring us more whenever. We had a couple drinks of his recommendation, and he helped us narrow down our options on the menu. I got the ragu while boyfriend got the pheasant ... the ragu was great, but boy do I wish I got the pheasant! I'll definitely be back to order it myself. We finished with the tiramisu and the berry compote Panna Cotta, and ended our meal just as it began; beautiful and extremely tasty. A very fulfilling and romantic dinner. 😊👌

We just returned from our anniversary dinner, and couldn't have been happier! We each had a drink, shared the eggplant parmesan appetizer, and each had a primi pasta entree. Mine was the pasta with ground pork & mushrooms in cream sauce, and my husband had the wild boar with pasta dish. We agreed that mine was the superior of the two dishes, but each had a unique and delicious sauce. We also each ordered a dessert, which were enjoyable but didn't necessarily blow us away. The ambiance and service were excellent. The restaurant is small enough that it feels quaint and cozy. I love the old time look of the bar area. Highly recommend for a special occasion dinner. Definitely pricey though, so be prepared to spend $20-30 per entree, plus cost of drinks, etc.

Amazing service, Fantastic food, Lovely accommodations! Visited for the 1st time & took advantage of the happy door menu to try as many things as possible and was Not disappointed. Started with bruschetta, followed by a starter salad and 2 pasta entrees with cocktails. Absolutely scrumptious#!! Finished with a Tiramisu & 2 specialty cocktails and we were stuffed. Service was impeccable, food was imaginative and delicious, dessert was heavenly! 1st time visiting, but we will Definitely be back!## Highly recommended ❤

Our server, Zach, was amazing. The expansive menu is filled with delightful Italian dishes. Try the swordfish special, filet and panacotta. We'll definitely be back!

The food is excellent and the staff is THE BEST! I don’t know who made those handmade spaghetti but thank you, it made my day! Highly recommend this place for Italian food!

Came here on a surprise visit for our second anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed a tasting menu with wine pairing. Every course was an absolute feast for the senses and the owner himself described the meal in all its particulars. An absolute delight from start to finish. I wish I had more stomachs to have done the meal more justice!
