Browsers Bookshop

A great local bookstore that packs an impressive selection of books in a fairly small shop. Helpful staff suggestions are marked throughout the various genres. You can also find little odds and ends that make good gifts like socks, tote bags, cards, stickers, pens and notebooks. Staff was helpful and available but certainly not overbearing. Worth the visit if you're local or even just passing through.

Perhaps the best bookstore in Olympia. A fabulous selection of new and used books and the cookbook section on the second floor is wonderful.
Keep an eye on their calendar for book signings and conversations with authors; Like a fun state senator and the lieutenant governor.

A bigger-than-it-looks local bookshop with helpful, knowledgeable employees - ask for a recommendation from one of the team if you aren't sure of the perfect gift and you won't be disappointed. It's such a refreshing alternative to the huge booksellers with staff who cannot give an opinion or summation on any of their offerings.

They carry a good selection of locally and regionally relevant books while still offering the best sellers, and will quickly order in anything you don't find on the shelf. There is also a nice selection of bookmarks, puzzles, stickers, and paper and pens if you need to round out a gift or just want something special to take home.

Best independent bookstore in the puget sound! Always a great selection and if they don't have what you want they order it quickly! Super friendly and helpful staff!

This is a very fun bookstore! They have all genre's and they have a special section for local authors! They have a large selection of bibliophile accessories, paper goods, and candles. I look forward to returning!

Cute little bookstore in the heart of Olympia. Great selection of books with staff picks and recommendations. They have a 2nd floor floor with more books and an area to study/read. Staff is helpful and friendly. Space is cozy and modern.

In my opinion, this is the best bookstore in the PNW. When I think of the movie "You've Got Mail" with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, this is exactly the kind of bookstore I imagine Meg Ryan owns in that movie. It has so many popular books. There is also a fantastic collection of E. Francis stationary. They have cute washi tape, pencils, and other stationary brands as well. There is a small upstairs with cooking books. They may hold reading events there? I also snagged a cute cloth bag with my purchase. We now use it for our packed lunches. Free branding for Browsers Bookshop. I'm not paid...yet!

I could spend hours here. They have a nice children's section. Bring your kids, bf/gf/other- or just yourself and get lost in the world of literature at Browsers Bookshop.

This is an impressive, beautiful bookstore based on books alone. Then add in the other fun gifty items and you can truly lose any sense of self control. The owner is also absolutely wonderful and made us feel absolutely welcome despite my two small children who could not help but touch *everything*.

This bookstore is one of my happy places. Filled to the brim with amazing finds, the folks that work here write up the best staff recommendations and are so kind and friendly every time we stop in. I can’t recommend Browsers highly enough- go visit immediately!

Super cute shop. Excellent customer service. Great stock. Found holiday cards with evergreens and mushrooms! Also bought a Christmas cozy book. Will be back.

Browser's Bookshop in Olympia is nearly the perfect place to find the right book or gift. The space is interesting, bright and appealing. The shop caters to every preferred genre. Newly released titles are well stocked. Staff recommendations are excellent. A small collection of very old and well liked titles is also available.

Proprietor Andrea Griffith obviously takes pride in her bookshop as evidenced by her creative use of space and the fact that she hires helpful, well-read assistants.

This is the best bookstore in South Puget Sound. It is one of the nicest places to shop in Downtown Olympia for sure. Great selection - nice staff.

This place makes me so happy! They have books, bags, and gifts. They also have special events like book signings and readings. The staff recommendations add to the book buying experience and a better insight to what you’re purchasing.

I ADORED this bookstore. They had an incredible, diverse selection, better than anything I would be able to find in Chattanooga. I was greeted at the door and was not bothered as I handled my analysis paralysis of what books I wanted to tether a memory of being in Olympia to and not just anything I could grab at home. But there was plenty of staff should I have had a question. The bookish gift selections were great as well. I'm so jealous i don't have an equivalent back home, what a wonderful way to spend a rain day on a mid-roadtrip stop.

Coming from out of town I knew I needed a bookstore stop to get settled for my weekend on the coast. I was very impressed with the COVID regulations and ease of moving through the store. HIGHLY recommend going here :)

Great place for books with lots of local focus. There are wonderful items such as stationary, calendars, book marks and coloring supplies too. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

This place is way bigger than it looks, and we loved their staff recommendations! They were very thoughtfully written and placed throughout the bookstore. Great bookstore with unique gifts!
