Bayview Thriftway

Very nice market. We went for lunch and got sandwiches at the deli. Great option for someone who is gluten free -- excellent GF bread. Lots of gluten free items around the store too. A little pricey, but a great place to treat yourself to higher end brands and tasty treats!

I picked up these locally raised half chickens that were pre marinated and I roasted them with frozen Brussels sprouts and broccoli yesterday. They made me question if I’ve ever actually had real chicken in my life! We just finished leftovers and they were just as delicious as yesterday. So tender, flavorful, and juicy! All I can think about is MORE!! The veggies soaked up all that deliciousness and WOW!! If I only had potatoes too! My family loved it as well!!! Prices overall at the Bayview are high, I won’t lie, but these halves were roughly $7 each and worth every penny!! (Est 6 meals) I can’t wait to try more of their delicious meats!!

Bayview is an Olympia staple. They can be a tad bit more expensive, but the selection, freshness & quality is worth it. Love the deli & upstairs seating (great place to enjoy a cup of chowder). The bakery is phenomenal. And I adore the "gift" section of polish pottery & knick knacks. Their wine selection is very nice.

I will start by saying: Wow! If you’re into eclectic drinks and healthy deli food you will love this store! Their in house deli has many selections for a healthy meal. The best part is the homemade gelato. It was to die for! A smaller store packed with delightful surprises! Good place to find “on the go” gifts for generic occasions. They have items like handmade soaps to pretty potted plants and more. This is not your everyday Thriftway! It’s way way better!

Excellent deli @ Bayview Thriftway!

Wonderful local Olympia grocery store. The folks at the deli were wonderful and very helpful. I like that they have an excellent alcohol section and all of the wine were organized and easy to purchase. Fruits and vegetables were fresh and display very nicely. We also appreciate that they had a large amount of holiday decorations and Foods. The store was very clean and very organized. I give the Bayview Thriftway five stars

I love perusing boogie grocery stores, even if I can't afford to buy much from them, and from what ive seen this ones quite nice!
these are some of their 'above and beyond a usual grocery store' options:
-many stores have delis, but this one is pretty extensive. I haven't eaten here, but the sandwiches look good, and the desert selection is nice (though not as good as Tacoma's Metropolitan Market)
-they have a walk in beer fridge. the alcohol sections are spread throughout the store and contain a good range of low to high shelf drinks.
-the dancing goats here is a GREAT plus. grab a nice seasonal drink and take it shopping with you!
-CBD drinks???
-overly robust merch section
-good amount of plants
-NICE body and hair section

the main negative just comes with the territory of expensive grocery stores: prices can be high (though generally not unreasonable).

if you're looking for a nice shopping experience in downtown Olympia, this is a good one to consider.

My new fave grocery. It's not too far from home, but there are 3 other groceries closer -- and now I'm driving to this one. Yes, some things are more pricey, but the quality is high. Products & brands I can't find elsewhere in town, special occasion items -- reminds me of Houston's Central Market. And better quality meat & seafood than the stores closer to me. The staff are consistently friendly and it seems like they have a "family feeling" with their colleagues. Also importantly -- I feel good about shopping at a place that's local-family owned and goes back decades here.

Great atmosphere with a local vibe. A place to buy food, get a good cup of coffee and then check out the marina. Eat a picnic lunch outside if it's nice at the park at the marina. There's a playground with swings and a jungle gym. Also a building next to that with tables and restrooms inside.

I love this store this is kind of my go-to place when I'm in downtown Olympia whether it's taking a date or by myself. It has unique food and wonderful seating outside on the water. And it's good on the wallet not too expensive it's just a great place

This downtown convenient supermarket is quite nice. It’s always clean. It’s always well organized with many locally and regionally sourced products offered. There’s a beautiful produce display with the freshest fruits and vegetables. I’m a frequent flyer in the ice cream department on my walks around downtown and on the waterfront. Recently I treated myself to a dock burger basket and was very happy with the quality and the freshness of it. You can order ahead of time and pick it up. There’s seating available with the best view of the waterfront. The service is always courteous and friendly. Being downtown means that it’s very convenient to all the new residences coming online in the downtown area.

Very cute all natural earthy design and atmosphere. Organic. We got some food from their deli and salad bar and ate upstairs in their all window dining with a spectacular view of the bay and only spent about $30 for the 4 of us for lunch!

Great location right next to the water and friendly service. Plus, they have Dancing Goats Coffee!

The staff there are super friendly and the place is always clean when I go there. What I love about this place is that they have a area where u can lock up any bags or backpacks ur hauling with u if u show up there on foot- and don't want to carry it around with u while u grocery shop or journey outside on a scenic walk, ur stuff is safe with them for at least 2 hours.

Interacted with Laura and the folks at the deli today, and had a blast! These ladies are hilarious and kind. Laura's kindness and honestly refreshing humor is why I will keep coming back to this shop! Great first impression! Amazing salad bar...and even better mac!

I love this place! The store is always neat and clean. They have a small area to sit while eating. Nice view, even! They sell ice cream by the scoop, which is nice for a little break. Not a big selection, but they have some specialty items that I can't find elsewhere.

The salad bar is so good!! They also make great breakfast burritos!

Living close to Bayview Thriftway helps us a lot. They are kind of expensive BUT, when we don't spend fuel for my powerful truck to go to a different town just to buy a couple things, we're actually saving money!

A little on the expensive side, but a better selection of foods than your typical grocery store. Clean store, friendly staff.
