Capitol Theater

Went to see Reverend Horton Heat, it was an awesome show. I would see another concert here, please book more shows!!

If you want a place with great ambiance, definitely check out Capitol Theater! The staff are volunteers, so be sure to tip if you can when purchasing concessions. It's important to help keep places like this alive. I love supporting local businesses, and this is definitely a favorite of mine in Downtown Oly

Staff there has incredible customer service and many are volunteers! This place provides some of the most fun and unique entertainment options in Olympia and I am grateful for all their efforts! I definitely recommend them so check out their upcoming schedule for anything that catches your interest. We saw the comedian Tim Meadows (“The Ladies Man” from SNL) do stand up and it was hilarious.

Quaint theater~ We went to see the Comedian Josh Blue in June 2023. Nice theater. Seats are a little hard, but it's an old building, and we loved it anyway.

Staff is great, concessions is too. It's a great theater for live shows. We'll definitely be back

An iconic Olympia landmark, the Capitol Theater is like a portal to another world, transporting you to people, places and experiences that are as unique as the people who created them. Community supported & volunteer run. Bonus: you can bring in outside food! But be respectful & clean up after yourself.

Nice atmosphere and original decor in this approximately 100 year old theater. They show movies regularly and have cool rock shows as well. There is a place to buy beers upstairs at some events, and a snack bar downstairs that is stocked with all the snacky-type loot you might expect. It appears this place gets a little better all the time through the diligent efforts of the dedicated OFS staff.

From purchasing tickets on line to admission to theature it was a very seamless experience. Once we arrived everyone was super helpful and Friendly. It felt like being at a good friend's home. Love the old theater as she has great bones and a super positive vibe♡

Love the atmosphere of this historic theater. We came to watch unapologetic drag show and it was amazing. They do have a concession stand and they serve beer and wine upstairs.

Lovely old theater with unusual films…

I am so delighted to have such a beautiful and historic venue to see live music and independent films without ever leaving Olympia! I’ve lived all over this country and this is hands down my favorite place I’ve ever called home.

If you haven’t been to a concert here you are seriously missing out on one of the best things to do for fun. They have dang good headliners, even the ones I’ve. It heard of previously send me right to Apple Music so I can add them to my library rotation 🙌🏼🤘🏼

Greatest theatre in Olympia! Revival cinema alongside great indie cinema.

We went on Prince's birthday (6/7) to see Sign 'O the Times. The theater is really cute! We had a really good time. It appears that the video equipment is all updated now. The picture and sound quality were fantastic! Mask and proof of vaccine required as of this date. Highly recommended!

We have been to Capitol Theater twice as a venue. Although the Theater itself is older they keep it well maintained and clean. The staff are kind and helpful. We enjoy this venue and look forward to our next experience.
