I had an incredible first appointment and was treated with such kindness and incredible service and I'm looking forward to a long relationship with this dentist office. Paperwork took a bit of time so if it takes you longer make sure to factor that in as a new patient.
Otherwise, shout out to Walt who made my experience comfortable & comprehensive explanations - Professional and caring!

I had a lot of anxiety about getting a bridge, and to be honest, I don't want to do it again. But, my overall experience was very good. My bridge is in now, and I am very happy with it. I can chew on both sides now. That makes all I went through worth it, and Dr. Merchant's office did a great job.

First time in to see our new Dentist & it was a great experience. Front desk staff was friendly & efficient, provided what I would owe with the upcoming fillings I need to have fixed. The hygienist that did my cleaning was a temp, though there are 2 permenant hygenists at that office. Very enjoyable to chat with and had a gentle had. The Dentist came in promptly at the end of my cleaning to do her exam & let me know the bad news about my old fillings. My husband & I are both happy to have found this dental practice.

I never had my teeth cleaned without discomfort but Walter Werner is very gentle and i no longer dread going to the denist and everyone is so nice and freindly at Tumwater family dentistry.

Best teeth cleaning I’ve ever had. If I told the gals name, she’d be booked until 2025! She had answers for best floss product and best teeth whitening strategy and complications 😬

After extensive dental and orthodontic work as a child, I am pretty nervous about cleanings and procedures. I had both recently with Dr. Merchant and his team. Service was prompt and professional. The staff was kind, skilled and compassionate. The facilities are beautifully appointed and immaculate. My cleaning was pleasant and enjoyable. Two small cavities were identified and I was able to make an appointment for the following day. My procedure was explained clearly, my concerns were heard and addressed, and my injections and repairs were completely painless. I recommend Tumwater Family Dentistry without hesitation.

I feel so lucky to have stumbled across Tumwater Family Dentistry near our neighborhood coffee stand. I needed some dental work done on a very tight timeline, and the staff were so accommodating. What really made this practice stand out for me was how kind and patient each member of the staff was during my three visits. Walt, in particular, went out of his way to explain to me what he was doing during my cleaning and to help me feel comfortable. Everyone here is wonderful, and I could not recommend them more. The best experience I’ve ever had at the dentist’s!

Once again, I recommend it. Reminder emails and texts are a big help. Admissions staff is always friendly and helpful, both on arrival and exit. Dr Merchant’s staff is friendly, efficient, skilled, and open to questions and explaining the what and why of procedures. The whole operation is seamless. The waiting room is a real bonus too. From routine cleaning to major work, I’ve always been pleased and well-cared for. Dr Merchant is so good and the whole office is too. Meticulous, considerate, thorough, effective. Honestly, it’s almost fun to ‘go to the dentist’ with Tumwater Family Dentistry…never thought I’d say that, but it’s the best.

Came from a local dentist that went big over our 25 years with them. We were just a number. We have been with Tumwater family dentistry for the last two years, where they know your name! Not every chair has someone in it. Very comfortable environment, great conversation, very friendly staff. Highly recommend going here......Steve

Very nice dental office. I’ve been a client for almost 4 years now. I got my Invisalign there. Doctor Merchant is so great and knowledgeable and gentle. The office is very nice and clean. And every time when I got the service from them feels like staff is very honest and nobody is trying to rip me off. 5 stars!

I did invisalign here and would highly recommend, always a 10/10 experience.

The staff are always so friendly whenever I come in. They remember my name, they are always so prompt, and the Dentist (DR V.) is absolutely amazing. She explains everything to me and eases my anxiety. (Previously I had anxiety coming in to the Dentist's office). I always feel taken care of here!

Dr. Merchant and staff are AMAZING! They are friendly, professional and timely. Who enjoys going to the dentist, (no one) but they make the experience stress free!!
