I called the office twice regarding my diminished value claim, which the insurance company refused to pay. The office staff was very nice to ask my claim details and provided me some pointers to work through my case. Based on their latest leads, I was able to negotiate with insurance company and got paid a reasonable amount. Thank you for listening and willing to help me.

I am so thankful to have the Office of Insurance Commissioner (OIC) support ordinary hard working families with Insurance issues. Due to COVID19, my Summer Holiday trip to Europe was cancelled and my airline refunded 100% of my non-refundable fare. However, Expedia and AIG Insurance (Travel Guard) was not willing to refund my Insurance (which I always purchase). Expedia was absolutely trash and kept going back to the policy (which they misread), AIG was directly happy to help, however since I had paid Expedia their hands were tied. This is where the OIC office came into the picture. I shared my grievances with a detailed timeline of every interaction to the OIC office. I promptly received a follow up and clear next steps through their online portal. I was interacting with a Compliance Analyst Amy T, she was thorough, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. She even uploaded documents on the site and I could see how she interacted and got a confirmation from AIG Insurance about my refund. Really impressed and highly recommend using the OIC office for any and all Insurance queries. Thank you Amy T for helping with my full refund from Expedia/AIG Insurance.

Appreciating the reputation of this office for public service. One of those mail order low cost pharmacies was attempting to gouge me for expedited service on a Rx that their clumsyness had not filled, although their computer told me it had long ago shipped. Repeated "We can't" this and that ended abruptly when I told them (Humana) that I was prepared to charge them for a drive to Olympia and that the Insurance Commissioner probably did not know me by name but would recognize my face. Sudden customer service happened. :-)

Very helpful information provided and fast answers from the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner today. To bad the Federal Government finds it plausible to force my family to pay for dental insurance for my children, when I pay for it out of pocket through a local small business trade exchange, where multiple health care providers and dentists are also members for many years. The most difficult part is how our family dentist that is 6 miles from my house, is not considered "In Network" now with my "new" dental insurance provider (I am force to be assigned to). I am forced to pay the $50 and still pay out of pocket to a dentist we used well before the "Affordable Care Act" was established. So the bottom line is we pay the $50 for nothing and not one of our claims are refundable because our dentist is "out of network". I won't even get into how Barack Obama and his "Unconstitutional" Affordable Care Act has totally altered great local medical coverage that we used for years with a local provider we still pay out of pocket for that is not covered through our Federal mandated health insurance selection that we don't even use unless I get a fatal illness which we then will learn don't cover us anyways.

We were having issues with an insurance company that was giving our office the run-around and denying every claim submitted. The WA State Insurance Commissioner's office was so helpful! They listened to our complaint, submitted our complaint to the insurance company and made sure that our complaint was directed and handled properly. Wonderful service and very communicative. Thank you!

As an insurance agent/broker, I have had occasions to work with the OIC's office on an assortment of complaints, concerns, or inquiries. In each and every instance, I have been treated with the utmost courtesy and respect. Today's conversation was an inquiry about monies owed to a client from an insurance company. I spoke with "Josh" who was the picture of decorum and professionalism. With complaints seemingly never-ending, I want to make sure that those working with the OIC's office are commended. Thanks.

I had a real mess with my insurance company and the WA Health Exchange. Both entities pointing to each other saying it was not their problem. I filed a complaint and within a couple weeks everything was straighten out with little to no effort on my part. I had spent months trying to fix the problem and once I got the insurance commision involved it everybody became very responsive.

There are many things that go into opening up a State Farm office in a new state. When I called the person I spoke with was Amanda and she was super, super helpful! Thank you so much!

Although they could not help with my problem, they gave me some ideas about who to talk to. Not bad for a state office.
