I love Melissa! She really listened to my concerns and monitored me as I used my freedom to make minor adjustments and fine tune my dosages. She really understands how genetic mutations affect meds and is up to date on the newest scientific links to the gut brain axis link to mental health. She's been very supportive of helping integrate a whole person approach and doesn't just push pills.
She remembers who I am and what my treatment goals are, I feel like she really values me as a person, and I love her cheery smile and optimistic attitude.

My psychiatrist left and I was assigned to Melissa. My psychiatrist said, “Stay on the same dose.” I was on a current dose of medication that was working for 2 years. The first thing she said to me was, “If you don’t like my treatment, you can go see someone else.” My meds were cut severely. She said, “break them in half.” This was way out of my normal dose range. I felt it as being extreme, but I trusted her. (She was recommended). I was then met with a manic episode which led me to overspend an exorbitant amount of money. She then said, “Can you take it back?” I said, “No, all sales are final.” Please do your homework and find someone who actually cares about your well-being. And less about “By-the-book.” Every person is different.

My wife was transferred to Melissa and she cut her meds in half in the first week, which didn't work out well at all (multiple manic episodes and suicidal tendencies). When my wife tries to get back to her normal prescription level Melissa threatened to not be her doctor any longer. It's Melissa's way or the highway!! Zero empathy or thoughts about the patient. Skip this doctor!!!
