First time yesterday. Wonderful place! Excellent food and service and atmosphere. First class. They give you a lot of food.

Great local breakfast spot with hearty food and generous portion sizes. The service is excellent and all the servers are warm and welcoming. We ordered the beast and beef corned hash. Both dishes were delicious and would visit again. Sit at the bar for the best experience!

5 stars is not enough for this most excellent place. We think the omelet may be 4 eggs. Ham as big as a dinner plate Friendly staff. We tipped $10 on a $22 breakfast because it felt too inexpensive. In the future we will take the side trip off I-68 when passing through to eat here.

Update 6/23: Still just as good. Service a bit slower but food still a great value for the money relative to other similar places. New pic added!

I ordered a Boston Cream Pie and it is incredible. One of the best we have had!

This is a very homey local place with a rural charm you don't get in the city. Deserts are great, but I usually drive out of my way for the Buckwheat cakes in the AM. These are getting harder to find. Service has always been first rate and friendly.

I had been in the area visiting with a friend and was recommended to stop. Reasonable prices. Quick service. I had gone alone so it didn’t take long for my food to be served. The banana cake was tasty!!

A great little hidden gem not far from cheat lake!! Will definitely be back for more!! If for no other reason than for more of their delicious pies!!!!

Locally-owned Cafe. We stopped to pick up breakfast. I called when we left our house in Hopwood, we were heading towards Morgantown, our food was ready when we arrived. Prices are great for your portions. Food was excellent and staff was very nice. I got the French toast and my husband got the breakfast wrap.

Amazing food especially coming off a couple day backpack excursion! Best country fried steak and sausage gravy

They have the best reuben sandwich that I ever ate anywhere! The meat was absolutely delicious.

Stopped there today everyone was so friendly, wonderful atmosphere and great food 👍😀 we will be back again, thank you

This is one of my favorite diners, the food quality is always amazing. Literally everything I've ever eaten from here was delicious! I highly recommend to anyone...Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner!

The stuffed peppers with extra sauce for the mashed potatoes, peas, tossed salad with the original homemade ranch & dinner roll was all absolutely delicious. The homemade cake that I had got just melted in my mouth .. Everything was absolutely delicious. Very polite staff and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone to go to. I will definitely be back to eat again.

Wonderful home cooked food and desserts. If you loved the old Apple Annie's in Point Marion,PA this is as close as you can get! Daily specials, broad menu and some of the best breakfast options around..try the Mountain Mess!

6-22-22 We had breakfast today. I recommend Mountain Mess. It was so good. My mother-in-law had biscuits and gravy and potatoes and my son corned beef and eggs. Everything was so good. Plenty of leftovers for tomorrow!

Everything was so good! I had the turkey dinner. My friends had an omelet and the other buckwheat pancakes. It all was good. Staff very friendly. Very clean. I highly recommend 👌

Hands down my favorite local cafe. Terrific food, excellent service, daily specials and awesome desserts, all at a good price. I was never much of a breakfast person until this little gem. Now I stop here for breakfast every time I head out fishing the Cheat or Mon rivers and sometimes even stop back in the same day for lunch...love the hot roast beef sandwich especially.
