The Strawberry short cake here is the undisputed champ! Also, the Kandy cakes are amazing. And the pierogis? OMG, the best I have ever had. It’s a small business, so don’t expect them to have everything every time you go. But if you call and order ahead you will not be disappointed.

Wow! I went to the store in Brookhaven. The staff were really friendly and considerate! I bought cake and apricot streusel which were both delicious!

Strawberry short cakes have been my favorite type of cake since I was a kid and I've had way too many through the years. After trying Kyj's last week, I have found my favorite strawberry short cake of all time. While talking to a friend about my wife's birthday plans, he suggested I try Kyj's strawberry short cake. With my wife's birthday the next day, I figured I'd call to see if there was any chance I could get a cake on such short notice. To my surprise, they said it wouldn't be a problem.

My wife and I absolutely loved the cake. Even our five-year-old daughter who has never enjoyed a single cake unless it's an ice cream cake ended up eating a fairly large slice. The cake wasn't too sweet, wasn't too dense nor too fluffy, and the strawberries were fresh. My only complaint is that they could not fit a happy birthday message due to the way the cake was decorated.

We might need to start celebrating more than just birthdays so that we can have an excuse to have more of Kyj's strawberry short cake!

Nice little bakery with fresh baked goods. They have anything you could want here. They have cakes, ice cream cakes, cookies, doughnuts, and a wide assortment of other baked goods. They have a giant chocolate and peanut butter kandy cake. The staff here are very nice also.

I got my wedding cake from Kyj's in Brookhaven. Ashley was very helpful and it turned out even better than expected! We were very happy with it!

Our favorites are the individual lemon and butter pound cake slices. This visit we also picked up chocolate covered pretzels, and shamrock cookie sandwiches with jelly centers dipped in dark chocolate... ALL DELICIOUS! Our family has been patrons of this bakery for over 30 years.

I purchase the cheesecake brownie and cookies. They were really good and tasted fresh. Can’t wait to go back and buy some more

Have been going here for over 50 years. Their cookies are the best! Their cheese danish is so good and their strawberry shortcake is very good. If you enjoy peirogies - order them for Christmas, you won’t be sorry! I wish I didn’t have to drive over an hour to get to the bakery now , but maybe that is a good thing, because I would spend way too much money and calories if I lived closer.

Best strawberry shortcake in Delaware county

I heard that this bakery had the BEST pound cake. I just had my first slice and it was really really good. They have 3 bakeries in the area. All of the baking is done in their Chester bakery and delivered to this location daily. Everything looked delicious! Gonna need some time to try it all!

The cakes at Kyj's Bakery are almost too good to be true. They make a truly spectacular strawberry shortcake with layers of fresh cream, strawberries and a sponge-like cake that melts in the mouth. And if you are looking for a birthday cake (decorated or not), there is simply no better place in the Delaware Valley.

Bridal shower cake was purchased here. Strawberry shortcake, and it was absolutely phenomenally decadent yet light. It was gone before I could get my camera out to take a pic. Noms

My first visit to Kyj's Bakery was great ! Wonderful customer service. This bakery has such a variety of baked goods ( cupcakes are my favorite ), even fresh baked biscuits for your dog ! Ashley is so friendly and helpful. She even helped me carry everything out to the car. I will visit again soon.

1st time going here I usually go to boothwyn.. I live a hour away and it's the ONLY cake worth eating. You want a treat? Get a butter pound cake with butter cream icing!! (Have to order the butter cream ahead of time.. only takes a day, it's real butter that's why...... common sense says you have to order that.. sorry real fresh cake) cookies are great too and they make some really cool breads!!!
