Rey Azteca Mexican Restaurant Newtown Square

Excellent service in a lively atmosphere. The food was quite good with excellent chips and generously portioned guacamole. Our meals were all quite good. Clean bathrooms. No complaints.

So came here on my way home to Philly just on a whim and the food atmosphere and hospitality was amazing . The decor is soooo beautiful I just had to take pictures, our server was so nice, food came out so fast and fresh. The margaritas were phenomenal also. Highly recommend!

In my opinion - this restaurant is awesome! My wife and I go here a couple times a month. I like to sneak out and go out for lunch too, as I ove their tacos carnitas.

You can’t go wrong, we have had many things on the menu, and all of them are as delicious as the previous one. I love their tortilla chips. They bring out a big bowl and a generous portion of salsa. They are so good, that every time I’m there I ask for a bag of chips and salsa to take home.

They also have a very nice bar, the restaurant itself is beautiful, they have some very colorful paintings on the booths. and chairs. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and a ton of fun to go to.

Their staff is very friendly and professional. They are very attentive, always checking on you, and genuinely care about your experience. I highly recommend this restaurant, I know you will enjoy it as much as we do!

I went to Rey Azteca for a group dinner (5 people). I was seated right away although no one from my group was there yet. They immediately brought out chips, salsa and water for the table. My group arrived shortly after and our waiter was very attentive. We had a hard time deciding on food because there were so many great choices! I had the Taquitos Mexicanos and a strawberry margarita. Everyone said how much they enjoyed their food and drinks. We will be back again.

Love this joint! Food is always served fast and delicious! Had a large party of 17 and the service and food didn’t skip a beat! Can’t tell you much about the menu because I always get the Mas Chingon burrito(❤‍🔥)!! Can’t wait to go back!!

Loved Ray Azteca Mexican! Been going back regularly ever since. Lovely atmosphere, professional staff. We always enjoy the authentic warm tortillas w/ guac. The guac is wonderful and fresh. They have a comprehensive selection of Mexican dishes and cuisine specialties....and the margs are legit.

The place is nicely decorated. Very colorful and clean. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. My only complaint is they do not have their liquor license so we couldn’t order any margaritas with our meal. Not sure if they are getting their license in the future or not. Other than that, great place to stop in for lunch or dinner.

We really enjoyed our visit to Rey Azteca. The food was great, and the service from our server Enrique was on point. If you've ever been to Rey Azteca in Warminster or Plaza Azteca in Plymouth Meeting, the food quality, decor, price range, and huge menu are all similar here.

We were immediately asked to order drinks (no liquor license yet), and we were brought warm chips and fresh salsa. We enjoyed the chicken and cheese nachos as an appetizer, and they were fairly priced at $6. The chicken was tasty and seasoned well. If nachos are your jam, they do have larger nacho dishes (supreme and fajita, maybe others), but this appetizer size was perfect to still enjoy a meal.

We had the supreme burrito with steak and shrimp tacos. Everything was cooked perfectly, brought out hot, and good to generous portion sizes with large sides of refried beans and rice. Total bill with soda was $35, which felt like a good value. We'll look forward to returning, glad to finally have decent (Americanized) Mexican food nearby.

Best margaritas and Mexican restaurant in Delco ! The outside is nice and spacious but you still feel you have your privacy. Queso dip is amazing, rice is perfect. Exactly what I have in mind when I think of and want Mexican food. Customer service is exceptional ! Prices are very reasonable. They allow and are friendly to dogs outside, they let us bring our fur baby :)) This will be my go to from now on.

I love authentic Mexican food, they start you off with some chips and salsa, I got the enchilada supreme and it was fantastic, and it was only like $15 with tax and it was very filling, my waiter was very attentive.

My wife and I just had a date night here last week and I am so glad we chose to try this place out. The drink menu had so many great choices to choose from. I thoroughly enjoyed the Jalapeño Margarita. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. I can't wait to come back.

Great dinner, quick service, and very friendly. Friday night at 6:30 and they apologized that there was a 25 minute wait. We went to the bar and grabbed margaritas while we waited for a table. Before we knew it, we were sitting and ordering.

Out F-in Standing. We needed great Mexican in Newtown Square for years. Thank you ! This is some of the best Mexican I’ve ever had. And it’s cheap and casual. Perfect. BYOB and BYOT for now.

Food was authentic and delicious, and the service is impeccable! Enrique the manager (I assume?) is really kind & sweet. The food is excellent! Definitely give this place a try if you’re looking for high quality Mexican food.

Door Dashed an order of hard tacos from Rey Azteca because it was recommended in my local feed, and was happy I did. Everything was tasty. I'm normally dousing tacos with hot sauce to cover up a lack of quality, but didn't need to put more than a few drops with these because they were so flavorful. I'll be a repeat customer for sure.
