Little Acorns Learning Center

We LOVE Little Acorns! We were worried about sending our son to daycare after being home with us since the pandemic but he is thriving! He's made new friends, explored new activities, done awesome art projects, and more. Our 5 month old is loving it there too! The staff make my children feel special and loved, and I couldn't ask for a better spot for them to spend their days.

We are so happy sending our son to Little Acorns! It was the first and only childcare center we toured and loved it so much from the first impression that we decided to only apply there and wait for an opening. I feel so comfortable leaving him there everyday in the care of their wonderful employees. He gets excited too! Kicking his legs on the way in and has never cried at drop off. I would 100% recommend to other families.

We love Little Acorns!! My kids love the environment, teachers and overall structure of the facility. Everyone is so caring and always keep me up to date on how my little ones are doing. They really care about child development and do an awesome job at making sure my kids feel safe.

Little Acorns is an incredible childcare facility. As a very anxious first time parent I feel extremely confident and comfortable leaving my child in the care of the staff of Little Acorns. From the beginning they have proven time and time again that the care and attention my child receives is above and beyond. I am so grateful to have found Little Acorns and refer all of my friends and family who have littles to them, cannot recommend them enough!

We LOVE Little Acorns. Our little sir has been going there for a year and a half. Watching him learn new things is amazing. He sings songs, knows colors, says the alphabet and calls his friends by name. He gets all kinds of outdoor playtime when the weather permits. The staff is wonderful and does a great job.

We are new to Little Acorns and so far LOVING IT! Everyone, and I mean everyone, office staff and teachers included, are extremely nice and welcoming. Everyone seems to really love their jobs and it reflects well at the facility. I can see why they always have a waitlist and it can be difficult to get a spot at times. If you are considering LALC, you will not be disappointed! My daughter is always in a good mood at pickup and seems to really love her new teachers, which makes mama bear very happy :) Thank you for such a great experience!

My family loves Little Acorns! I highly recommend this daycare facility. My child has been attending for four months, and he is thriving. The staff is caring, friendly, and highly engaged with the children.

Little Acorns has been amazing. Our daughter gets very excited everyday as soon as we walk in the door. As a parent, it’s puts my mind at ease knowing that she loves spending the day with them.

Update: This past year we are still so in awe of the teachers and staff and the wonderful experiences our children have at Little Acorns.
There are wonderful activities for us to join them at and fun days for them to experience.
Outside time one of the of the best parts of our kids day! There are new toys and bikes and ride on toys for the kids to play with!
They students gets to experience meal times together which is wonderful for being exposed to new and different foods.
I truly could not thank the teachers and staff enough for all they do. They are so warm and wonderful. They are so fun!!!! It is a safe and exciting place for our kids to learn and grow!

Original review: When we moved to Erie to be closer to family, I was terrified to switch daycares and have to leave our center.
We were referred to Little Acorns. We originally did the tour and I felt overwhelming positive feelings.
I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to them or to explain the positive experience we have had. Everyone is so warm and friendly and they go above and beyond in the care and learning they provide. It helps me feel more confident at work knowing my kids are happy, healthy, learning, thriving and most of all loved when they are at school.
The rooms are maintained, the learning is fun, exciting and hands on, and in addition, the friendships my children have with other students are reinforced with love. The teachers (the gems of the school!) are informative and communicate often. I love to see the kids photos during the day!
Both of my kids especially love their outside time! They are both very happy when I drop them off and when I pick them up my son will often ask me to wait a few minutes because he does not want to leave he is having so much fun!
I truly appreciate the love of the job the teachers show on a daily basis. I wish I could thank them more. I would highly recommend Little Acorns. It has been the best decision for our family and I’m so happy we moved so we could experience the time the kids will have at Little Acorns.

LALC is an amazing place to work and have my children at! There are always so many fun acitivities, including theme days, sensory play, and holiday parties! The staff are all amazing and really pull through for each other, and the owner/director is great at bringing us all together!

Little Acorns was a great first school experience for my son! I love how child centered and play focused the teachers were. Cole adored his teachers (and still talks about them!). His patience and confidence both grew so much in his time there. I’m so thankful we found Little Acorns and that it was such a great learning environment for Cole!

My family and I love Little Acorns! My son started there when he was a little over a year old and he grew to love each and every person who works here. They are so professional and most importantly, caring. Not only of other staff members, but to each and every kiddo that is there. We will definitely miss each and every staff member there when my little guy moves onto Kindergarten.

My daughter started at Little Acorns a little over two months ago after attending an in home daycare for the last two and a half years. The atmosphere was very different for her in the beginning but everyone was super helpful in making sure that the transition went as smooth as possible. The staff in the Saplings room has been nothing short of AMAZING! The communication is top notch and I love getting pictures throughout the day and hearing about all of her fun activities! She looks forward to seeing her teachers and friends and especially Miss Arlene at the end of the day. I couldn't be happier that she is in the best care when Im not able to be with her. Highly recommended!

Little Acorns has been an amazing blessing for our daughter and family! Since joining their family our daughter(2years) has never been happier. She adores her teachers more than words can express. Little Acorns has amazing outside play areas for each classroom that allows kids to grow and experience their environment! Chloe has loved every day but her favorites are water and mud days 😊

We love the teachers and the connection they have built with our daughter. We also love all the creative and educational things they come up with to keep the kids busy and learning!

My son has gone to Little Acorns for over a year now and I have to say it’s one of my favorite places. The staff is nothing short of amazing. They welcomed my son with open arms and hearts. He simply loves it there and I never have to worry while he’s in their care. The app that they have for communication is awesome, I love receiving photos of him while he’s at daycare and hearing about his day. I would recommend Little Acorns to everyone.

My 4 year old son just started going to Little Acorns a few weeks ago. Prior to this, my son attended a private preschool for 8 months until he was dismissed for his impulsive and rash behavior. We had done everything that the other school had asked during this time and they kept changing their tactics, sometimes on a weekly basis, which anyone knows that inconsistencies aren't good for any child. I begged the other school to wait until his psychological evaluation was complete to see if there was a need for an IEP that could help and they wouldn't even consider it. Only a month after he was dismissed, he was diagnosed with ADHD. Through therapy and medication he has come leaps and bounds with his impulsiveness and behavior so you wouldn't even think it was the same child.

I disclosed how much trouble my son had at the previous school and the Director of Little Acorns, Arlene, was very understanding and wanted to make sure that they followed his IEP and gave him the support that he needs. I'm often hesitant to disclose that he is on medication for ADHD because of the judgment I get from it, but when I told her she simply said "if he had a broken arm, would you not put a cast on it?" FINALLY! Someone who understands that this is what my child needs to be focused and functional on a daily basis!

The engagement that they do as a class is so very in depth that it surprised me how much hands-on activities they do! From creating their own playdoh, making their own guacamole, using measuring cups to practice gross motor skills in pouring, having "water days" in the summer and even a MUD DAY where any child who wants to gets muddy head to toe!

Ms. Lynn who is the main teacher of the Great Oaks class (3, 4, & 5yo) is phenomenal! She takes the time to discuss your child and any needs/updates. This learning center focuses on more of the social/emotional needs of the children and they learn a lot through PLAY and EXPERIENCES, which is what they need at this age.

My son being dismissed from the private school was honestly a blessing in disguise because Little Acorns has shown us the high quality care that every parent wants for their child. This ISN'T a daycare. This is a quality learning center for those Littles that we love and want to thrive.

Please trust me when I day that your child will thrive at Little Acorns.
