First time going to the Erie zoo and it was definitely worth the trip. The zoo is relatively small; however there are a ton of great exibits. Many of the exibits are very close to the animals and you can get great views. The only downside here is that it goes by too quick. Great place for kids though, a large portion is devoted to kid activities.

We went off season and it was terrific. Spent two hours here. Reasonably priced. A lot of great animals to see. Just wish we could have taken the train.

Great selection of animals for a smaller zoo plus a great lower admission price! Very active and easily seen animals. Loved the red panda, jaguar, siamang, sand cat, penguins, tiger and wild dogs. We saw everything leisurely within an hour and a half.

Very nice little zoo. The family really enjoyed our visit. The train ride around the zoo was also fun. I highly recommend visiting if you get the chance. Very reasonable prices and really cool if you like exotic cats.

The play area is a real winner w young ones, the rope enclosures let them be safe and have fun. My little ones were 7 and 2, they were very satisfied, the monkeys entertained

Delightful zoo, super child-friendly. A surprising array of animals for a smaller sized zoo. The orangutan exhibit and the train ride are our kiddos' favorites!

A must see for Erie. It is a great local attraction, especially if you haves kids or like to walk around with a great view of animals. Plenty of shade and places to sit if you need/want them. We attended zoo boo. Was fun, with friendly staff. Train ride was fun and animals were great to see. Definitely going back.

An impressive selection of exhibits for the small size of town. Always clean and very active in the community. Additional services available like birthday parties and private close up encounter experiences. A huge bang for your buck too!

Erie Zoo is not huge, but definitely big enough for your money's worth! Great cardio workout and a great place for families with or without small children.
Friendly staff and volunteers, it wasn't that busy when we went (Thursday), it's definitely a decent value for a day trip.

One of the best zoos I have visited! The orangutans are one of my favorites and they were playing around, engaging with visitors. Looked very happy. The staff were sweet as well. A man with animal pins reached out to me, seeing my sloth hoodie and showed me how to make a sloth pin. They were giving them out for a $1 donation each but we were so satisfied with our visit here, we gladly gave them $5. Can't wait to go back! :)

I was not expecting much from a small zoo, but was delighted at the diversity, layout and how close you can be to the animals. Lots of educational information and kids activities as well. If I lived near by, I would certainly get a yearly pass just to visit and spend time relaxing while being amazed by the beautiful creatures.

i went with my son and grandson. Jackson, grandson, is 2 years old. i guess i will judge according to his experience. he, from all i could tell, loved the place. every animal i saw seemed well taken care of. the enclosures are well kept. all in all it was very good. Jackson seemed to love it, especially the monkeys in their outdoor environment. they were very active. for a smaller zoo i think it is run by people who care about the animals. good for Erie!! can't comment on costs. we have a season pass.

It's a nice smaller zoo. Its still a good place to take the kids and explore the animals. It's about 1-2 hour walk through.
