Cafe Rice & Kabob

Since Road Runner relocated, I decided to try the kabob place next door. Boy was I happy I did! I got a chicken kabob sandwich and asked them to make it spicy .. it was so fresh and their tiziki sauce was def made in house for the sandwich. It was sooo good that I decided to order a whole bunch of sandwiches the next day for my sis and her kids. It was great fresh good. And their Halal fried chicken is wonderful!

Gonna start off saying their food is the best food you can have, they give you good portions and they’re always considerate. Kind people, good service, the place is a bit small but cozy, and it has a welcoming vibe. I can’t emphasize enough, their food is really good and their prices are good for what you pay. I’ve been to other kabob restaurants and they charge so much for so little. Great restaurant, great food, great people. Definitely worth giving it a try.

My recent kabob obsession brought me to this place, and I’m so glad it did.

The staff is very friendly and the food is even better! I purchased the Kofta Kabob which comes with rice, salad, a side of choice (I got the eggplant), and a piece of bread. As soon as I tried the food, I knew I would be back. Sure enough, I went back the next day and bought food for my entire family so they too could enjoy. Everything is delicious, including the bread which sometimes tends to be a miss at most kabob places I’ve tried. This place is a total hit, and I plan on getting extra bread next time.

The place itself is spacious enough and the staff pay close attention to small details (cutting off the burnt ends on the meat for example). Also, there doesn’t seem to be any enforcement on wearing a mask as there are no signs. The staff don’t wear a mask either, but if that’s something you’re concerned about - feel free to use one if inclined. I certainly still use one just to be on the safe side.

Overall, big portion of food, great pricing, friendly staff, and did I mention delicious food?! I look forward to my next visit!

Delicious kabob meal! I got combo 9 and every bit of it was very good! It comes with 3 sauces and pita bread. Definitely worth it. They take their time so don’t expect a Chipotle line make sure you have a half hour at least. Highly recommend.

I've been ordering from this place recently, and I gotta tell you, its really good. Their food and friendliness is amazing. They're very kind to me, checking up on me, and asking specific questions about my orders to get it right. I like their rice as well.
Their lamb and chicken kabob were the best!

Great kabob with hefty portions of side dishes. Seasoning isn’t as strong as some other Afghan eateries I’ve been to, but may be just right for many people. We also enjoyed the lamb curry. Turned out to be very tender.

Absolutely outstanding food that is as flavorful as it is fresh and customer service that far exceeds any other restaurant in the area. Since moving to Sterling and being brought here by a friend, it has, since become my favorite restaurant in NOVA. 13 out of 10, cannot recommend enough!

My favorite Afghan sandwiches, but now appears to have closed down. Did you move? Just stopped by today and the signs are gone...so sad.

I absolutely adore this spot. The chicken kabob platter is delicious- the food in general is amazing. In addition to that, the gentleman who, I believe, owns the establishment is so sweet and welcoming! I’ve only ever gotten take-out from here but they always give an accurate estimate for when the food will be ready, too.

This is still one of the best in town. My husband and I used to come here years ago and it never missed. We moved out of the area but yesterday I was driving through and decided to stop by for a takeout order and it is just as I remember it. Juicy meat full of flavor, fluffy naan so delicious by itself but I love to use it to sop up the chickpeas -my mouth is watering while leaving this post. If you haven’t tried it, do yourself a favor and check it out.

I stopped by for take out today. First when you walk in the place smells amazing. I was greeted promptly and the gentleman said my order was almost complete he was putting it together. Let me tell you when I brought the meals home my family all the sudden appeared and were starving. They all enjoyed the meal we had the chicken and kofta Platter as well as double chicken. The meal had generous portions we will diffinately order from them again.

Brother Mohammad here many times has made fresh gyro sandwich here for me many times 5 minutes to closing time. Always appreciate it. Best gyro Sandwich in Sterling.

Amazing, delicious, mouth watering . Owner seem nice and the rice and lamb chops I ordered were delicious. Would 100% recommend to everyone I know.

Anyone know location if they moved or closed for good recently i drove to go get food and was shocked it was closed

I have had the opportunity to know the owner for 10 years. I have been dining here during that time. They are aways nice and the food tastes better than all other restaurants. Its my favorite place. Food is is great here. Dont forget to get the white sauce. Makes it taste even better.

Our family has been coming here for over 15 years ever since they open back in 2004, Always clean environment courteous service and great quality food. Definitely one of the best kept secrets in Sterling and northern Virginia. Still under same ownership and it's still Same delicious recipes. Unlike other restaurants in the area these people actually care about the food they serve .

We’ve been going to this place since it first opened - over 15 years ago, perhaps. The quality of the food never went down. The owner(s) have always been nice and friendly. Last time we were there, the manager/owner was kind, helping with our order, cleaned the table properly before bringing the food, etc. The food was a generous portion and nice and fresh as always. We like going here.

I tried this place for the first time today and I was not disappointed! I absolutely loved the food! Everything was well cooked and it was a good price. I had the beef kebab with rice and spinach and the bread and it was delicious 😋 I finished the whole thing. Portions were more than enough. The guy who took my order and made my food was extremely nice and friendly. Great customer service!
