I've been meaning to leave a review for the past couple months, but I had the best experience here! The staff were super friendly. low pressure, and knowledgeable. Loved that they genuinely wanted to help me find the right fit, and were eager to have me try on budget options alongside the more expensive ones. Icing on the cake was when I went to pay. Because I was the first customer of 2024, they threw in a celebratory gift. Was totally unexpected and a fantastic way to start the new year. It entirely made my day. THANK YOU!!!

Nathaniel helped me find some game changing running shoes. It was my first time shopping for running specific footwear, and not only do I have some wide feet, but also some injuries to work around. He was patient and knowledgeable. I ended up with some Brooks, and could not be more pleased.

Adore this store! Only place I buy my running shoes. They let you have a month to really try them out to see if you like - such great customer service! And a birthday discount! They also give back to the community by supporting local schools. Highly recommend

YES! I'm a non-runner and for the 2 half-marathons I've trained for (and finished!) Shu's was my go-to for shoes and all things training. Their staff is so next level. I went in late December 2023 to get suited up to start training for my 3rd Half and David was incredibly helpful and patient through my shoe-trying experience. No question - Shu's is my #1 stop for all things running.

Knowledgeable staff, great selection of shoes. Although they never seem to have my size in stock, I’m willing to order through them because the real value is getting help in finding the right shoe. I went through multiple pairs of shoes on my own over the last year and continued to have an annoying numbness in my foot when I ran. Shus helped me find a shoe with a better fit (not one I would have found on my own) and it was an absolute game changer. I went on a few long runs and didnt have any foot numbness while using my new shoes for the first time in a year. Funny enough, the shoe I ended up with was the first pair the salesperson suggested. I tried on around 5-6 pairs, but it turns out they know what they are doing (and I obviously dont!).

I stopped by today and honestly this is one of the best shops I've seen. The staff are kind and very informative. They go the extra mile to make sure you're comfortable!

The shoes, the places I run, the type of runner I am... those all change... but the place where I get my shoes doesn't. I've lived across the country and the world, but one of the first orders of business upon returning to Boise is my Cinderella shoe ritual at Shu's. Every time I visit (and for as long as I can remember), they have amazing service with friendly and knowledgeable staff, and great try-and-buy policies both before and after you purchase to make sure you end up with the right fit. In a time when local shops disappear or get staffed by people who seem to dramatically over- or undersell the product at hand, the Shu's crew knows what they're talking about (and have for a long time) and have the tools and knowledge to help you, with no awkward pressure—it's just pure love of the sport. They're always turning me on to something new; often times I go in thinking I'll just get the next model of whatever I already have, and they surprise me with a brand I hadn't tried or sometimes even heard of. They're also a cornerstone of the local running community, supporting runners, races, and events of all kinds, which is just as critical. Considering that your running shoes carry you for hundreds of miles, thousands of steps (some of them grueling, others life-affirming)... I wouldn't put my feet in the hands of anyone other than Shu's. Thanks for a decade of great runs and amazing service.

Perfectly amiable, no-pressure staff. I was greeted immediately on entry and then they measured my feet and had me walk across this high-tech scale that measured where my foot put down pressure, what my arch was like, what angle my feet were pointing, etc. Then several pairs of compatible shoes were brought out for me to try on and walk around in, including outside. I liked being able to have on mismatched shoes so I could easily compare them with each other. I found a shoe that felt perfect--I am so excited to go running in it! Thank you!

A 5-star review is just not enough for this place, I give them 10-stars at least! I travel over 6 hours one way to go to this store to purchase my running shoes. I always feel like a kid in a candy store when shopping at Shu's!

You will receive fantastic customer service, knowledgable staff, and the exact shoes that fit your needs when shopping here. Thank you Shu's for being an amazing company and sharing your passion in your work! Not to mention they participate in community evens as well as world-wide giving. I found out today they have a donation bin for old shoes to go to others in need in third world countries. I love the heart of this business!

I had a great experience here! I had never been fitted for a pair of running shoes before and the woman who helped me was great. She taught me a lot about how to find the right shoe and fit for my needs. I ended up leaving with a great pair and am ready to hit the pavement.

I had a great experience at Shu's. I went in to get fitted for runners and trail runners. I was greeted immediately and provided very helpful, friendly, and attentive service from Mike. He determined a good starting point for the type of shoe that would be best for me and then brought several pairs for me to try and compare until I found the ones that felt right. I never felt rushed and I walked out happy, with two great pairs of shoes.

I was super impressed with the selection and staff. My expectations were exceeded. No high pressure sales tactics and a willingness to help. This is my new shoe store.

Friendly, informative and very helpful.
I went to get insoles fitted since I've been having Plantar Fasciitis issues and the doctor recommended insoles to help my issue. David, one of the employees there, greeted us and right away started asking questions most places don't bother to ask, measured my feet and brought a good selection for me to try. While trying the insoles he gave me tips, explained things about the tendons on your feet, he was informative, very helpful and friendly. I very much enjoyed my experience shopping here and I hope they continue their great work! (:

Stopped by after going to the gym next door. The staff were very helpful and gave good recommendations for trails nearby. Next time I need a pair of running shoes I will come here.

I've been going to Shu's for about 6 years now. I thought my running shoes would last me through my deployment, but I was wrong. I called and received excellent customer service. They looked up all the shoes I've had previously, made suggestions based off of current wear patterns, and then shipped them to me at a location downrange. That's what good customer service is folks, going the extra mile even though they don't have to. Also they gave me a little longer than their usual 30 day return policy to ensure that the shoes I'm getting will work out. Thank you Shu's Idaho Running Company!

The service here is amazing! I have never had a proper shoe fitting, and Tasha was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and she went above and beyond, and took the time to get me into new running shoes. I can't recommend Shu's enough. I won't buy shoes anywhere else.

Walked in and was greeted. We got sized for new running shoes and then had our feet mapped out. Unfortunately they only had one pair of size 15s but they fit wonderfully and were super lite. Shoes are a pricey but hoping they last long.

I've been going to Shu's off and on for years. I've never received exceptional service and never bad service. Today I was beyond impressed. I definitely felt like I received exceptional service. Michael helped me with new insoles and gave me a new pair of shoes to take for a spin while waiting. He made me feel like a truly valued customer. He gave me great tips for my feet and places to go to work out those runner muscles. Thank you for going above and beyond! I will be back for those Freedom Saucony's!

We LOVE Shu's!!! It's a great place to find running shoes for kids. And the customer service is always amazing!!!

Great experience. They analyzed my old shoes to see the wear pattern. I told them about my foot pain and they recommended three shoes for me to try and also some massage techniques using a ball. They let me test drive the shoes outside. They are complete professionals and they really listened.
