Buddy Boy Winery and Restaurant

This was the first time I visited this establishment. What a beautiful location and scenery. We decided to stop in since we were filming our new video series on Perry County, and I must say, I was very impressed. Today, we only did some wine tasting, but I will definitely return on a weekend to see the live bands and have a meal. They let you try 5 wines for free or 10 for $5. I really enjoyed all of them, but I would say there were 4 that I would definitely buy a bottle of next time. I will add to my review on the next round.

Buddy Boy Winery is authentic, the margarita pizza is outstanding and so is the wine! The view is picturesque as well. I have performed at this venue a couple times and it's always a great vibe.

We stopped by here on the last stretch of our vacation and we are so glad we did! Lots of wine, and cocktail selections. The full food menu looks great. We arrived on Tuesday with the limited menu, but that does not mean it is less. The Pretzel sticks were so good, and the hand breaded mushrooms were huge, and the mush sauce was delicious. It is only an hour from us and we def plan on coming back a few times a year.

My girlfriends and I came here to celebrate my friend's birthday. The staff were absolutely lovely. Decent food, fantastic wine (we did the tasting), great views for sitting out back and overall just a great experience. We will absolutely be back! Thank you!

Had a wonderful dinner. My husband got the seafood boil an I had the stromboli. Yes, I strayed from the steak. I don't know what I was thinking. It was a toss in my head all the way there. Because I'm the steak lady. We also had live entertainment not just the music kind. The music was great though. We had customers near us that were non stop complainers. Salad had onions with "peels" on, steak was "overcooked" an "rubbery". They waitress politely dealt with these unruly people. She stepped away an brought the cook out. The cook looked at the food an said it is exactly how you requested. The customers did not agree. Then upper management came to see for themselves. A said look sunshine you ordered it. It's as you ordered it. Eat it or don't. We got quite the kick out of these unruly, snarky customers along with everyone else sitting around outside. They walked away without eating or taking their food along. I requested to see the "so called" ill prepared food. It was far from the complaints given by the customer. I then tried it for myself an it was a fabulous well seasoned, mouth watering, perfectly cooked medium rare steak (which just happens to be how I order or cook my steaks). I am happy to know that these kinds of customers aren't there every time we go. There is a reason we go back time after time. Food is always delectable! Drinks an wines are great too! Friends invited us to join them for drinks and a meal. We got one of their artisan pizzas. Very very good!

We took my father tonight for his birthday. I'm so glad we went, it was our first time there for all of us. My little guy locked himself in the bathroom and they heard him before we did and ran to his rescue. That speaks VOLUMES to my husband and I. The food was AMAZING and yall the peach wine slushie AMAZING, the semi sweet wine four to the floor also AMAZING. We all had smoked Mac and cheese and it was SO GOOD. Truly everything we had was SO DARN DELICIOUS. We will deff be back.

You will not find better in Perry County!!! Very friendly service and great food! Forrest is the real deal - very approachable, and super knowledgeable of the entire operation.

This place has been open for 3 years already and we just now discovered. Great and friendly staff, fantastic food, and fantastic deck that is just the relaxing place you want to hang out. Only thing missing is a fire pit in the middle of deck, but they get a pass on that with their fantastic wood fired grill/stove/etc..... Can't wait to go back !

New testing room. Has TV, food, and slushies with wine and vodka. Still has free tasting. I believe its 5. It was super busy due to wine trail. We stayed to listen to music. Nice and comfortable. Plenty to drink and eat. Staff was busy but still cheerful and informative.

We made an unexpected visit here last weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The deck out back is a nice area to sit and chill while having a drink. They have more than wine as there are 10 taps of beer as well. Almost all beers were PA beers making it even better (Sam's Adams only non). We didn't eat anything as we did a quick trip but the food smelled awesome, it was hard not to order something. The service was very friendly as well. We'll be back.

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Owner was welcoming and service was prompt and friendly. All of our food and cocktails were delicious. My wife and I had a really nice time sitting out on the deck and we will definitely be back.

Having a great time! Food is excellent, drinks are very good, they have a great selection of wine. Service is very good, very friendly, place is beautiful, very nice entertainment with music. Best of all, local place to go!

My husband and I have been to many wineries all around Central PA and this winery is by far our favorite! The owners and waitresses are always pleasant and working super hard to accommodate everyone with food and drinks. There is entertainment Fridays and Saturdays which is always awesome to get out and see local musicians. The food is outstanding! We have tried most of the menu and there is nothing that we didn't like. And the wine, the BEST in the area! They also have other alcoholic drinks including beer and mixed drinks. We have introduced many of our family and friends to this winery and everyone loves it. When the weather is nice sitting on the deck makes for a perfect evening. The only advice I would give is make reservations! The winery is very popular and weekends are busy so to make sure you can get a seat, call ahead and reserve a table. Thank you Buddy Boy for being our go to place for when we want an evening out!

Just had a great lunch at Buddy Boy Winery. Lobster bisque was delicious as well as grilled portobello sandwich and my hubby raved about his soft shell crab. Delightful staff too! Corrina and Helen took great care of us and we’re a lot of fun! Tried a PA bourbon, blackberry mojito too. Next time some wine slushies for sure! Will definitely be back to try other menu items and enjoy the view of the mountains.

Great little place in the middle of nowhere. We have been there several times now and always come out pleased with our dinner. We have gone there twice now for all you can eat crab legs and since I can't have the Old Bay seasoning, I asked them to omit it. I didn't realize the Old Bay is in the water while cooking the crab legs. They accommodate me every time by making a pot of water without the Old Bay. I am very sincerely grateful. We will definitely go back as it is our new favorite place to eat close to home. Thank you guys !!!

A very unique place-off the beaten path! I will definitely visit again, as there is more on the food menu I want to try. I absolutely loved their alligator bites! So delicious-try them! Their homemade wines are superb, and the seafood boil is excellent.

We went today for the prime rib. It was very good. Corina and Helen were lovely and very helpful. The lobster bisque was off the chart good and the soft shell crab sandwich was fantastic!!!
We will be going back again!!!
