My group, Monroeville Area Native Plant Group, has a native plant event June 2nd, Back to Roots: Native Plant Fest. Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy will be one of the organizations that will be at our event. June 2nd, they'll have a native plant identification hike at this park.

I thought I should see what the park was like,False Solomon'sseal, bladdernut tree, Solomon's seal, maple leaf viburnum, and other beautiful native plants abound in this park. Check it out.

Fairly easy/casual hiking. There are several trails that cross each other. There is a parking lot, a pavilion, and a porta potty. Both Google Maps and Apple Maps have the correct address listed (School Road South) but took me to Round Top Road instead. If you struggle to find the lot Google Murrysville SportZone and Dek Hockey, the lot is just slightly further off route 22 and on the other side of the road as compared to that facility.

Beautiful park with a beautiful creek and clean, well-maintained trails. Some are an easy walk, and some are a little steeper. There are maps online that you can check out before you go so you don't get lost. Parking lot is off School Road and a little small, but the trails can also be reached from the Westmoreland Heritage Trail parking lot on Wm Penn Hwy. Very popular place to hike, so you never feel alone even when on the upper trails - lots of families and dog walkers on the trails.

Great little park with enough trails and elevation for a good afternoon hike after work. As a note, if it just rained some during the day, most of the park is still very solid. If it rained two days in a row, expect a lot of mud.

Still a great park over a year after having moved here.

What better place to hike on a warm spring day! The snow drop flowers are blooming and the trillium will soon follow! The stream is crystal clear. The trails require some navigation through the mud, but isn’t that the fun part of hiking? There are trails ranging from easy to rigorous so that everyone can enjoy a walk in the park! The trees will bud soon, summer will follow, and Duff will look like a prehistoric forest with giant ferns. For bird watchers, Duff is an exciting place to carry your camera! Autumn will be an extraordinary display of colorful leaves, and winter will be a wonderland inside Duff’s canopy!

Very nice, well maintained park. The bike path is gravel and an easy walk. The hiking trails are quite steep at places and are a good workout. Ample parking and there is a portable toilet on site. There are benches all along the trails.

Very nice walking area, a bit steep in some areas. Part of the main trail is very close to route 22 so you can hear the traffic.

Council just approved fracking under this park. Be sure to check out the multiple uprooted and broken trees, a common result of climate change, from cycles of water saturated roots then drought then intense windstorms.

Beautiful park. It does get muddy sometimes so make sure you wear proper shoes. I love walking here. It's very peaceful and there are some different ways you can go.

Beautiful park with plenty of easy to hard trails. Connected to the Westmoreland Heritage Trail for additional access. Great tree canopy keeps it cooler in the summer.

I've seen this park grow from a one trail wonder to a fleshed out trail space. I've spent a couple hours traversing the trails without taking the same route twice. Now that the flat, rail-to-trail bike path connects to the park, it's a must-visit for outdoor lovers of all kinds.

Beautiful park that runs parallel to route 22 in Murrysville, PA. 5 moderately difficult trails that run through the woods plus one flat trail along Turtle creek. One can easily do an hour loop or a two hour loop to the end of the park. Bike trails also available. Trails are well maintained and well marked. Adequate parking. Good trail map at parking lot. Pocket maps sometimes available. It's a treasure!
