I have been on the same exact meds for at least 13 years or more some as far back as my childhood and this doctor gives me a hard time every single time I need a refill of my daily meds! He is rude arrogant (not in a good way) and condescending. He shouldn’t be a doctor. He definitely has no bedside manner at all. Thinks he knows it all. I believe a unteachable doctor is a terrible doctor to have. We are all teachable and medicine is always changing. Recently was the last straw. I had gone to MedExpress for the flu because I couldn’t get the cough out of my chest and his Office would not prescribe me an antibiotic they treated me as if I were asking for narcotics. Julie, who I spoke with, I believe, was very rude and dismissive of my symptoms. They also lie in your after visit summary. She said that I had a cold for a day when in fact, that is not what I said I said I have been sick for two weeks and it got better and now I’ve had a really bad burning cough where I cannot breathe in. My oxygen levels are low and I believe that it could be pneumonia or something of a secondary bacterial infection that is causing me to have such a high temperature out of nowhere. But hey, they know it all. But what really takes the cake is that my MedExpress x-ray showed that I have a calcification/nodule on my thyroid gland, so I followed up with Dr. Romiti And he refused to order me basic thyroid bloodwork, such as T3 and T4, claiming that my TSH was fine, and even if my T3 and T4 came back, he wouldn’t treat it. He also refused to order me a basic thyroid ultrasound, even though MedExpress specifically said that I needed to follow up with an ultrasound of my thyroid. So after that, I went above him to my endocrinologist. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen my endocrinologist since Covid started so I am considered a new patient. I let them know that PCP is refusing to order me the labs and ultrasound that I need that MedExpress recommended. They asked me to have the report faxed to them so they could review it. I did that at which time they called back and said that I need to have the blood work and the thyroid ultrasound done that they wouldn’t be able to see me till July and my PCP would need to order that. I explained again that my PCP refuses to order what I’m asking for, so with the advice of my endocrinologist I called my insurance company and found a claim against Dr. romiti and his office. I let them know that I was going to do so because of that point I am not receiving proper care. They said go ahead they don’t care. So professional. I have an appointment today with a new doctor, which I’m sure with no problem will prescribe me my daily needed medications And I’m guessing have no problem, writing a script for bloodwork, and an ultrasound as I do not know one doctor I have ever encountered in my life that has had a problem with any of this. He is a negligent doctor. If you go elsewhere, especially if you’re young as he will not take you seriously. He’s above you. Just something I’ve encountered while being a patient there is being asked why did I need my Zyrtec prescribed? Obviously because I have allergies. Why do you need xopenex prescribed? Well, because I’ve had asthma since I was. Why do you need Zofran prescribed? Well, because I get such bad nausea when I have extreme panic attacks that if I want to eat anything that week sometimes I need the Zofran to help settle my stomach. Why do you need your EpiPen? because I’m severely allergic to bees and could die if I get stung. Why do you need Prevacid? Because I have acid reflux again if I would like to even keep anything down, I need that medication. Why do you need prednisone prescribed? Again because I have asthma and allergies, and sometimes I like to breathe. These are just my basic medication that I’ve literally been criticized and felt like I shouldn’t be asking for them because of this the whole entire staff is terrible. The only person that I ever like was Jan Pesci She’s gone I have no need to go back to this place.
