I went to Lucca's when I was in Helena visiting and WOW. This restaurant is reason enough to head back to Helena! Great food, especially the special pasta dish and the desserts. Top notch service and a cozy environment. I will definitely be back!

The food and atmosphere is always great as you’ll read in every review, but I must shout out the hostess! We came tonight for dinner for my husband’s first time while on a business trip and the hostess was hands down the sweetest ever! I don’t think I’ve ever been to a restaurant with a better hostess. She was kind, friendly and attentive. Lucca’s for so many reasons will continue to be my favorite restaurant! Thank you all for another 5 star experience.

We loved it! Starting with a very friendly hostess at the door! Amazingly good food. Great wine (they had a 1/2 price Wednesday special) and fantastic service from Angie. A must do in Helena!

I can't say enough about Lucca's! Everything I've ever had there has been amazing. The shrimp fra diavolo is my go-to and never disappoints. The service is always excellent. And that parmesean balsamic vinegar sauce they have with the bread, OMG, I could drink that stuff. Do yourself a favor, get a reservation, and go eat here! You won't regret it!

Update: I just returned from a trip to San Diego and ate at a recommended place in little Italy just to compare their gamberi fra diavolo (more seafood than just shrimp in a red sauce) and there is no comparison. Theirs is good, but doesn't even approach Lucca's!!!

This place is a great date night place. First you walk in and are greeted by a very enthusiastic hostess. Then you are seated and offered, off menu wines. The menu is small serious and to the point, in a good way. There is variety of foods for all palettes and restrictions. We are keto and had a great experience. Our waitress was new but amazing. We decided to be adventurous and try stuff that we don’t normally get. For appetizers we got the mussels with pesto and crab stuffed peppers, both were phenomenal. Plus the wine that was suggested paired perfectly with the apps. After that they brought salad that was paired with an amazing vinaigrette. We ordered the lamb chops and the veal and I seriously can’t choose which one was better, both were amazing. I was slightly worried about ordering the lamb because I’ve had it in the past and didn’t like it. But this lamb was absolutely perfect! If you aren’t sure whether you like lamb or not, this is the place to try it, 100%. The veal was lightly breaded and had a Marsala sauce and was sooooo tender that you can cut it with a fork only. This place is one of the best places that we have eaten at in a long time. Montana’s/Helena’s hidden gem.

My go-to restaurant to bring visitors and to celebrate birthdays. Expensive but not wildly so. And very worth it. We love when we can get the table in the window, and it's great in the winter since there is a radiator right there.

I can’t say enough good things. This was one of the best meals and experiences I’ve had in Helena. All the food was amazing, Angie took care of all our needs and was very attentive, and the prices were on par with the quality of food and service. Highly recommend.

I have heard about how exquisite Luuca's was for years. It is located downtown Helena on the walking mall. There is a convenient parking garage close. It is easy access. I have never had the chance to go.
I had gotten a gift card for Lucca's and invited a close friend to share the experience. What a wonderful time we had. The host and serving staff were so friendly and catered to our every need. I would say dinner is a five course meal. Everything was scrumptious. We appreciated that the restaurant supports other businesses by serving their bread. My friend needed a gluten free option, and they brought her gluten free crackers without us even asking. The main dish was described as spicy, I had requested a mild form, and it was SO GOOD. They did offer us desert, but we couldn't eat another bite.
It was obvious that the other patrons were enjoying their meals and lingered in conversation with their friends and family. What a special evening.

Very seldom will I admit when I eat at place n say, "These guys do it better than we do it." Well, Lucca's in Helena Montana has earned my respect and it was an honor n privilege to dine here. They use a local bakery for the bread (baked daily) for their pre-meal dinner. The salad dressing was a Watermelón balsamic vinegaret dressing made fresh, soooo goood. These little tomato grape bruschetta bite things that had so much flavor. To moms seafood dish with amazing flavors cooked to perfection, and and my steak with roasted veggies n shrimp with a cream sauce that had a beautiful spice to it. The main ingredients are pride, passion, n teamwork, which is obvious in the food. A must try in my book. I very seldom give 5 stars but Lucca's has earned the 5 stars easily. Thank you to the chef and his team for making a great memorable evening with my mother for dinner. I haven't tipped the kitchen staff n am a very hard person to earn a tip from period but I had to tip everyone. I will be back.

I’ve been here twice since I’ve been in town and have not been disappointed. It is very comparable to other big cities’ Italian restaurant. The staff was very attentive. Their pasta dishes have been very good. The portions are fairly large and they do not skim on the meat/proteins. Everything is very well seasoned too. I also really like their dipping sauce and butter for the bread that they bring out.

Im looking forward to coming back every time I’m in town.

A little hidden gem that you need to experience.

What an excellent spot to pick on our way through Helena yesterday evening! As you can see from the pictures, the food was amazing, and although I didn't picture the old world decor it was fabulous as well. This place gave me the classic, friendly, relaxed vibe with a not overbearing but welcome class that I always seek in Montana for a night out.

For drinks we had Lucca's fizz and Bauna Sola, as well as a glass each of the Gramercy Syrah. Appetizer was Deviled Crab Stuffed Cherry Poppers, and Entrées were a perfectly cooked walleye with pasta and Pan Seared Scallops and Shrimp with Angel hair pasta in a white cream sauce.

My experience the whole way through was amazing, and everything was done with the perfect touch of class. I definitely recommend this place as a hidden gem, and was told as much by all of the people around me who said it is their favorite place to eat in Helena, MT.

I love it when I get lucky on my choice, and this dinner and hot springs date up the road at Broadwater Hot Springs was absolutely perfect 👍👍🙌👌

Second time coming here and I'm so impressed. You get a delicious salad and a load of bread with two sauces before the main course. I got the rosemary garlic chicken and it was SO flavorful. Will be coming back.

Wow! If you like spice get the shrimp with the spicy cream sauce!!! Also the fontina appetizer is WOW... Three big wins here 1. Open on a Sunday in Helena (easier said than done) 2. Amazing service 3. SOCIAL DISTANCE AND MASK MANDATE!

Best meal of our 2-week vacation, and for quite some time prior to the vacation, too!
