Giove's Pizza Kitchen - Shelton

Gioves makes the best fresh food in Shelton, we have tried numerous other restaurants and we keep coming to Gioves. The penne vodka is one of the best pasta dishes, adding breaded chicken add to the meal. Dinner portion is large enough to have leftovers.

I have to say this is so much better than the one in Trumbull. Food is really good and the pizza is so much better. Great selections. You shouldn't have an issue finding something you like there. Friendly service family owned and operated. Its mostly take out they have a couple tables. Giove's also offers party catering. All ocassions. Their specialty pizza's are great!

So Mike A's birthday (a fellow employee) celebrated his 43rd birthday last week. He insisted on Giove's extra large chicken and bacon pizza. Oh man it was excellent! I ordered on-line and picked it up. We work around the corner and up the hill (Big Joe Stomp Box). An extra large can feed four but the three of us polished this one off, almost. I wanted to save one for the other boss that was playing golf at the time. We were stuffed like turkeys on Thanksgiving. Big Joe approved!

Giove's is nothing short of AMAZING! I'm very picky with my pizza and Giove's hit the nail on the head! I stopped by after school one day on my way home to grab a slice of pizza! I asked what a good pizza to try was and the employee told me that the Bruschetta pizza was a great choice! This pizza had tomatoes, onions, basil and fresh mozzarella and, WOW it was delicious!!!! I had to order one to bring home for my mom to try. If you haven't tried this pizza then you HAVE TO. And not only was the pizza great, but the environment was nice and the staff was amazing! Keep it up Giove's!

I always come out of here with great pizza. They use fresh toppings and take care when making their pies. I can always count on a slice when I need one after a long day at work, or if I have that same craving at lunch. They make great calzones as well. Definitely recommend you try them out if you are in the area and looking for a good bite

Ordered pizza from Giove's Pizza for the first time and had it delivered. I did it more for convenience, as my regular place closed temporarily during the Covid-19 crisis. I did not expect such a delicious pizza to be delivered. The tomato sauce was very tasty, the toppings were plentiful and delicious, and the thin crust was precisely as ordered. My wife said it was the best pizza she has had in years. Needless to say, this is our new first choice for pizza in Shelton.

I get the chicken club wrap every other day, it’s great! The pizza is always delicious, and they have such a huge menu with so many great options! Definitely recommend trying Gioves!

i was there recently when the customer who left a negative review was being extremely disrespectful to one of the staff, insulting her intelligence and belittling her, claiming that she would no longer be a manager after he had the chance to speak to the owner.
after listening to him degrade her for over 5 minutes i couldn't hold my tongue anymore and let him know he was acting like a child very straightforwardly. he made a scene embarrassing himself in the store, then came online to continue doing so; saying i was an employee, which is false, and that i called the police, which is also not true.

that said, i appreciate the staff for keeping their cool, even though they were very visibly uncomfortable with the entire situation, and i greatly look forward to my next visit!

Love the Carl Anthony panini, always fresh and hot when I order!!! Also if your looking for a twist on pizza I recommend the loaded potatoe. Did not know mashed potatoes could belong on a pizza!!!

I've eaten at Giove's many times over the last 12 years and finally decided to write a review. These guys are just great! The bread for their grinders is delivered daily from Arthur avenue in the Bronx. If you didn't know, Arthur Avenue is known for some of the best bread anywhere. Every great sandwich starts with great bread! The management here is always looking to source the freshest and healthiest ingredients.

I've had salads (the Harvest salad w/ Chicken is one of my faves), grinders (I like the Chicken Parm best) and of course their pizza. Joe (the owner) always has a specialty pizza going too, right now they have an Apple, Gorgonzola, Balsamic drizzle pizza that is a real treat. If you need a gluten free pizza they have that as well and it really is quite good.

I have been going to this restaurant for a few years now and I must say that I love it !!!!!! All of my parties are catered with Gioves! They are flexible with all my catering needs and customer service is phenomenal! Their chicken piccata is amazing! And salads are always fresh! And if you haven’t tried the stuffed breads , it’s definitely a must!

I have ordered food from this restaurant many times. The pizza is very good and they always have special ones for each particular holiday. In addition to the pizza I have tried many of the pasta dishes which are great. Penne alla Vodka is excellent. I would definitely recommend this Giove's for not only pizza but any of their dishes.

I have ALOT of friends in the restaurant/a pizza 🍕 business and I must say The Tropical Tease Pizza not on the menu BUT if u ask Crissy to have 1made is the most off the wall tastiest pies I EVER had. Without sause Chicken bacon pineapple hot sauce cheddar cheese onion bbq sauce 😋 oranges ect. Wow just heated a peice. Don't forget the Green Goddess dressing 4 the wings. Shhhh don't tell 👍Bob Jarvis 😎👌

Absolutely amaizing! They offer such an amazing variety including pizza, burgers, pasta,dessert (amazing cheesecake), and nachos (which btw are SLAMMIN!) Overall amazing place. Great, reasonable prices. This is mine and my co-workers go-to spot for lunch. Not to mention we can quickly place the order online and have them deliver. GREAT!

First visit last night and I was not disappointed! Good dough, great sauce and loaded with fresh toppings. Friendly staff and nice and clean shop. I will definitely be returning for more pizza.

I have been coming to this restaurant for a long time, and I used to only get pizza because I figured that was really the only thing worth getting, but boy was I wrong, I recently decided to try the house special pasta, and it was sensational. Also, i came here for lunch the other day, and a nice gentleman behind the counter suggested I try one of the panini, and I'm glad he did. I got the carl anthony, and it was delicious. I'm glad I gave other parts of the menu a try and I can't wait to discover more great dishes from this place. 5 stars!

I must say, out of all of the restaurants in Shelton, Connecticut, this one is by far my favorite. And it's crazy, because I've never even eaten there before, or had their food! Lol! But I've just heard so many wonderful things about it from Shelton residents that by default, I love it. Additionally, every time I have called there, the employees have been nothing but friendly, kind, and helpful. Whether it be answering my call super speedy, telling me their hours, or tracking the location of Mike Ficano, Giove's employees never let me down! Now on the topic of Mike Ficano- he is the best employee, hands down. The most tall, handsome, muscular, sexy, delicious, chocolate, vanilla, snickerdoodle, throb-worthy man/Giove's employee there is or ever could be- I am grateful for his service the most. He has serviced me as a customer and individual in more ways than just one. He always goes above the call of duty in the name of Giove's and I could not be more grateful to him in particular. He deserves a raise in my honest opinion. I am also the mother of his child (I think, hopefully) and well, babies are expensive and we need to pay the bills. That aside, however, he is truly a gift from the Gods. Your pizza looks good too.

I have eaten here several times and I have never had an issue with my orders. They have the best buffalo chicken grinders in town and if you haven't tried their chicken bacon ranch pizza you definitely have too!

Moved to Shelton a few months ago, thought I wouldn’t find good pizza after going to a few places in town. Went here today and I will have to so I was very impressed and happy with the pizza they make. Great customer service and good tasting pizza.
