First & Last Tavern Plainville

Great atmosphere! Laid back and great Manhattan. Wings are so good. Wood fired is the way to go. And the pizzas are perfect. Awesome server.

Service almost ruined this visit. It was about as unfriendly as you can get. Never checked back on the table once during the visit. Place was not busy. Thankfully the food was great! Turkey BLT Panini was a good size and tasted great. Blackened Salmon Sandwich was fantastic. It's a regular sized sandwich.
Salmon was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. This alone was worth the 5 stars. Lots of parking and interior of restaurant is really nice. If anything First and Last, the server on our visit needs some friendly lessons. If the food was not as good as it was, the service would have totally been a one star review.

My boys and I went to the movie and wanted somewhere to dine before it started. We Google restaurant close to our location and come up with here. I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great. Customer service super! The food was on the table before we knew it and it was hot. I'm definitely going back, and I would recommend it to anyone.

It was my first time here with a friend. We came around 6pm and there was a 15 minute wait to be seated. The air smells great as soon as you come in, like garlic and herbs. I instantly knew I was going to like my dine in experience. The waiter was Alex he was very nice and prompt. Not sure what they call the bread they give you while you wait to place your order, but I absolutely love it! I ordered a Chicken Philly sandwich, with garlic parmesan fries on the side. It was awesome, it tasted great! I would've been happier if I had a larger portion of fries, I ate all my fries before I finished my sandwich. I also had a drink the Strawberry Basil Margarita, and it was so yummy! It had just the right amount of alcohol, I hate when I buy a drink at a restaurant and you can't really taste the alcohol in it, so I really enjoyed my drink! I had a really good experience here and I look forward to coming back and trying out there brick oven pizza.

Server Tracy was an absolute delight! Turkey Club panini was great and the bread it came on was outstanding. Also the focaccia bread and cinnamon raisin bread that was delivered to the table was outrageously delicious.

Great place for a yummy lunch! You can sit in a cozy corner and have a confidential discussion as sell as sit in the open space. The food was really good. I wasn’t able to finish that pizza, medium, but I recommend the BBQ chicken pizza.
Staff was friendly and I really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent Clam & Bacon Pizza. The crust is a nice cross between a regular pizza and a Pepe's thin crust. The clams were very fresh and the bacon add-on made it pop. The craft drafts were very good. The barkeep was friendly, peppy and interactive. The house salad with the blue cheese crumbles and chick peas made for a great app. The house bread and soft butter was a nice touch.

We were quoted a 2 hour wait at J Timothy's across the street so our party of 6 came here instead and they seated us right away. The wings are awesome, comparable to J Timothy's, maybe even better.
Our server was exceptional. She was extremely attentive, personable & just so nice! Gave us recommendations that didn't disappoint and was quick with everything we needed. Thank you Kimora. You were great!!

On our way home from Maine to NJ, we stopped here for a late lunch, early dinner at the recommendation of the Fairfield Inn. Kendra, our waitress was friendly and provided us with a great dining experience. Our cocktails and entrees were just perfect. We would go out of our way to stop here again.

delicious, freshly made food that tastes homemade, with fresh ingredients that make such a difference...friendly & attentive staff--but not over-the-top/annoying either which i rly appreciate, (didnt seem fake/forced, & we had a convo without being unnecessarily interrupted too many times...and i know this shouldn't matter--i dont wanna come across wrong at all, only as a compliment--but our server, & rly all the servers, was & were very beautiful...if we're being honest, i mean, who doesn't love eye candy? just saying, anyway though...) ...everything we got was exactly to order & tasted as expected or better, we both had zero complaints... great, unique environment thats in between fancy & cozy... will definitely return & recommend!

Great food but the portions are small for the price you pay. Excellent service and great atmosphere. Great pizza.

I was here years ago and the food was ok the atmosphere was not so good, but this time I thought ok I'll give them another try. I have to say I'm glad I did. The food was amazing, and the service was out standing... there wasn't any load music, will diffently go back..

Had their Gluten Free pizza tonight for dinner. Absolutely delicious! I have celiac and I have to say the crust is a little thicker than thin crust. The crust also has a sweet taste to it. I didn't have any issues after eating. Thank you!

I have ordered here online a few times but only ever got the sweet pea pizza and white chocolate cheesecake and both are delicious but it is a far better overall experience dining in. I am immunocompromised and have been terrified of going out but I didn't feel scared. Everything was clean. People maintained their distance. I would like to see more masks but I get it. I got the raviolis with pesto Alfredo sauce and they were by far the best I've ever had, yes they are expensive but they were perfect. Our waitress was lovely too! I'm sorry I forgot her name but she was so sweet.

Had a great time, service was sketchy, girl seemed like this was new to her. Everything else was good.

I've always had great pizza and Italian food here. Recently I had a private party of about 20 reserved for July 2022. Phenomenal experience! I booked the party a few months in advance. The staff let me come in about a month before and take a video of the room to help me figure out the decorations. The food was very, very good. Better than I expected for a crowd. We had one person waiting on our entire party and she was attentive and kind throughout the party. All of it was well worth the money spent. I know if I ever have another event where I'll be going. I highly recommend!

Amazing food, and it starts when you are seated with warm bread and oil.

I never eat at the first n last Tavern I always passed the restaurant, went to pick up some orders for doordash. So one day I had order to go pick up on rainy day that morning was so long with appointment n stuff . I didn't eat much so after my delivery I had time to stop n get something to eat I ended up ordering small cheese pizza 🍕 n side of pasta I wasn't the only person in the car . We still had three slices left n good amount of pasta for the next day . All the employees are so sweet n kinda if you have any questions n the employee doesn't know the answer they will go n find out I appreciate that if it's busy day n I ask question. They said let me find out I'll say no no that's fine n get something else . The owner's of First n last Tavern great people caring n understand everything works so hard to keep there business going

I was very impressed with this place! To start, the bread they give you at your table is awesome. For appetizers, we got the honey barbecue wings which again, were awesome. I ended up getting a burger which had Cajun flavor and spicy mayo. Only complaint was that it didn't really have much of "kick" to it. Besides that, everything was great.
