We enjoy every trip to Johnny Ads. Great fried food, grilled cheese! Ice cream in summer! Takes me back to the 1960s with our meal number being called out over the speaker. Outside seating too! Thanks Sue!!

Whole clam roll is my favorite. Fast service, polite and helpful staff.

Two words, Fish Tacos. They have the best ones I've had as far as I can remember, and their lobster bisque is fantastic too. I make a regular habit of popping in to satisfy a craving for some fantastic fried fish. They have a pretty big menu beyond that, but I always come for the fish tacos.

A great clam shack! The belly clams are excellent. Lobster bisque also good! A cute ice cream place also!

Place is great! I will rate the food a solid 8.5 to a 9. My wife an I got the hot lobster 🦞rolls and my shorties got a cheeseburger 🍔. We are very satisfied with this location! We will be back!

Summer is officially here!! It's always a great way to start off the season with a delicious hot lobster roll from Johnny Ads. And their french fries are just a perfect addition to a early lunch before the crowd hits. Although they have a very extensive menu, being a Yankee I cannot pass up a lobster roll. I have heard that their food is awesome and maybe someday I'll be able to order something else 😊 all the locals know, and most summer people that are repeats, that this is the perfect spot at the shore. It's even worth waiting in a long line for.Dont pass it up!!

I always make it a point to eat here when I visit Old Saybrook! Last trip I went twice! I love the chowder and fritters! Great fish and chips- so fresh!

! Their steak and cheese sandwich , hot dogs, seafood, everything on their menu is always delicious!! Great quality at good prices along with friendly staff make this restaurant a winner!! Our family has been going here for 30 plus years and will continue to be our top choice!!!

A quick stop after the beach. Plenty of picnic tables with umbrellas! We ordered dinner. Everything was fried we ordered and yummy! Fried clams, scallops, & fries! Great place!

I had not intended to go here but luckily i missed a turn and decided to get some seafood since I was near water. I was not disappointed at all, the fish tacos were simple yet great, made with cod. The fries were also in that same vein of something simple done just right. Another plus is that there is an Amazing ice cream stand located next door.

This is a very casual, mostly seafood restaurant, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The quality of the food is excellent. It's a good place to take kids. Music from the 50s and 60s is constantly playing, so this may influence your decision to eat here.

I drive from New York just to come here at least 2 times a year for years and I love the hot dogs and lobster rolls. I also come to see family!

How can you go wrong with a lobster roll and fries!

I had such an amazing experience with the staff at Johny Ad’s. Not only was the food and service great, but I left my purse there and didn’t realize until I was too far to return for it. The staff got in touch with me and mailed me my purse, which was so helpful. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area!

I have been going to JohnnyAds for over 50 years! Their service is fantastic. Try their steak and cheese sandwich with a milkshake, or any of their seafood. Not a fancy place, just great food.

Such a gem!! Family owned since 1957. Throwback to my childhood. Amazing food. Typical New England fish house.
