Great experience. The tack on my jeans came off and couldn't be repaired. Brought back to Avon CT store, no questions asked got m e another pair suggested I try a different wash to fit better and was out In 5 minutes . Staff was knowledgeable and accommodating, you get what you pay for in this case, for sure.

I went in to this Orvis shop for the first time to exchange something I bought online. The staff were friendly and helpful. I ended up talking bird hunting with one of the staff members (sorry didn’t catch the name) and exchanging knowledge of Connecticut hunting spots and he suggested some grounds to check out in Maine. The staff are the real deal at this place, I’ll be back.

I attended two more fly fishing in the Avon, Ct store classes today. One by Drew Bartolucci, of which I have had a couple of his classes. Each time the presentations were extreamely well done and lots of valuable information was provided. As a beginner it was very appreaciated. Great handouts as multipage printouts too. I learned a ton and it inspired me to go forth with the sport. I spent a couple grand and then we got a drought, LOL. But next year....
The second class I had today was gived by JimmyPetrilli. And just like Drew's classes, Jim's class was very professionally done. Lots and lots of information on small stream fishing. Which I had never even considered before/ So now of course I have to get new small wgt equipment lol. But again the information provided was very in depth and valuable from Jim. After the presentation I spoke privately with Jim and he gave me some more information about fishing out West. I was a;ready planning a trip out West to Yellowstone, so between the information I got today and this info Jim gave me for out West.... Well it just really made my day!
These twomen are a huge asset to your company! I can't say that strongly enough! And the whole reason I spend way more buying Orvis products than I do at some of the other local high end Fly Fishing stores.

Very helpful fly fishing staff. I stopped in to pick up some gear while visiting the area. They hooked me up, answered some questions and even took some time to show me some things while casting. I was impressed enough that I took their 101 class they were offering that week.

The staff was amazing. Answered all my questions and helped with picking new flies. Was really helpful to a new fisherman. I'll recommend this store to all my friends.

For an outdoor person this is a great one stop shop. Great selection of fly fishing gear and supplies. Knowledgeable in all aspects of gear and tying supplies. Great for being able to have supplies shipped right to your house.

Ed runs a great Orvis shop! Tons of great gear and advice about the mighty Farmington River and other choice holes. Also be sure to check out their many (often free) classes on various Fly Fishing techniques and skills.

Great store with high quality goods. My dog loved it too plenty of treats for him! The service is excellent all around.
