Southington Veterinary Associates

We have received nothing but exceptional care from the veterinarians at SVA. The front desk staff is always kind, courtesy, and quick to respond to a message. I have one kitty with severe allergies (to what feels like everything), one with thyroid problems, and, now, one with asthma. I'm thankful for the care they receive at SVA.

It was my first experience with them and I found them to be quite caring for my pup , a super friendly staff greeted me and my pup. The vet tech was very helpful. Dr. Dave attended to my pup and answered all my questions in laymans terms. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great vet at a reasonable price.

Excellent service, very clean, super friendly, my client's cat Sweety has the best veterinarian David Theroux, very dedicated to his work and thanks to him Sweety's diabetes is controlled I recommend them 100%

I had to take my sick 15 y/o cat in,unfortunately he had to be put down,i was so sad even the tech had tears they are warm,caring and so pleasant thank you for what you do!

I read some of the other reviews. I find when one presents a problem they had, a potential solution is more appropriate then just ambushing the entire establishment. I can't figure out how to respond to those who shared their experiences, but if the experience was that bad, why not confront them. Reading some of these reviews are just hateful..not constructive. I have no right to censor because this is freedom of speech..I'm just suggesting. But WOW if any of that is reality based. Bill at the front desk is the absolute best. Bill is genuine..honest..caring and considerate. I feel relief and confident knowing he is advocating for the best patient care possible!

We have two dogs and each of them are relaxed here. I just adopted a cat and she will be going there for a checkup very soon. My Dachshund was in love with one Doc, but he moved away. Go there with confidence. They don't charge outrageous price, very fair, but great service.

A loving and attentive staff. Great veteranarians and almost always available to answer questions. They really care about your pets.

They are extremely compassionate and want the best for your animals! My childhood cat was falling ill, and my family had a horrible experience at the first vet we visited. We called SVA and told them what had happened, and they got us in right away. They told us our cat had been misdiagnosed and took the time to examine her. They fully discussed all of the prices and procedures before doing anything to our cat, something most vets don't do nowadays. In the end, we ended up putting our beloved kitty down, but the vet was so compassionate that he will 100% be a part of our last memories with her. He came in and apologized, took a moment of silence with us, and even comforted our cat alongside us as she crossed the rainbow bridge. Overall, they are a reasonably priced, compassionate, and absolutely wonderful veterinary clinic.

Marshal went in for his neuter today, I was a nervous mom,but they did really well with him.

I recently lucked out and found this location for an initial puppy check up. The front desk associates, the Vet Tech and the Veternarian, were very personable, professional, and a pleasure to talk too. I'd highly recommend this location if you're looking for a Vet.

This is the best vet I have ever been to. I had alot of trouble finding a vet that seemed trustworthy and professional, this place is a god-send. Everyone on the staff is extremely friendly and has excellent bed-side manner. They made my cats feel very comfortable. It was very clean and the different animals were kept in separate rooms so my cats didn't have to smell/see dogs. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and caring and always follow up to make sure my cats are doing well. I recommend them to anyone in the area, even if it is a little farther drive.

They are so nice, we where from out of town and they took such good care of our baby Zeke.

In the first visit with this office. They were very attentive, answered all my questions and concerns. They even gave us a welcome puppy bag. I never been greeted this way before. I was very impressed. My family will continue using this office. You can really tell that their patients comes first and it should be because pets are family members too.

Best choice we ever made , our baby had a infection after being neutered by a discount clinic so we called Southington veterinary and we got excellent service & put at ease , that was 3 yrs. ago . Even during the height of the pandemic they were there to do a wellness check and to deal with a cough. We went and had another check up last week and still received excellent service, friendly, caring & attentive. They explained everything in plain English. We wouldn't go anywhere else , Thank you to the staff my Dom wouldn't go anywhere else!

My 12 year old kitty, Skeeter, developed an incurable illness quite suddenly. At the final appointment, you wrapped her in a warm blanket, gave her a sedative, and we stayed with her until she was gone. She was a sweet kitty, and you were very kind to her, and to me. The sympathy card you sent, with notes from all the staff, was beautiful, and made me cry, of course! Thank you for your compassionate support.

Great vets and staff. You can tell they really love animals and I take all my pets here. I also recommend them to anyone in the Southington, Bristol or Plainville area.
