The Elbow Room

I really like this place. My dish was excellent, shrimp thick and juicy and the veggies fresh. Staff was extremely pleasant and I love the atmosphere. It was a rainy Sunday afternoon so I didn't check out the rooftop space but I will. The whole area is wonderful but this spot right at an intersection stands out. Seems like a great place for friends and family. Can't wait to return.

Although the menu has been pared down from its pre-covid days, my wife and I haven't had a problem finding a tasty meal. Ranging from small plates, to salads, burgers, and full entrees. The entrees include glazed salmon, steak frites, Elbow Room Mac and cheese, fajita bowls, and shrimp carbonara. There are a myriad of burger choices as well as sides. The dining room is large, with large windows facing Farmington Ave. There is a large bar, the Tap Room adjacent and connected to the dining room with a huge array of beers on tap as well as a fully stocked bar. The Elbow Room is also known for its rooftop bar and dining area. On a beautiful day or evening, the rooftop can serve as an oasis on a hectic day. In addition to the rooftop, there is outside seating (weather permitting) on the sidewalk with full menu service The Elbow Room is kid and dog friendly. It is the perfect place when your group can't decide - "I don't want a full dinner, I want a steak dinner, I just want a salad"- on their meal choice.

Truly great service, looking forward to the next time. The food was delicious, the place was great, the drinks were fantastic and it didn’t hurt the wallet. That counts as a huge win on my book!

Also, don’t kid yourself. Get some dessert!

Me and my friends love the elbow room, Ashley is our favorite and we come in every Thursday to see her, can’t wait until she’s back from leave!

I have been considering trying stand up but have always been hesitant until this week when I went to check out The Elbow Room Monday night. Such a great atmosphere! Friendly staff, clean up stairs and down. I felt very comfortable and am getting ready to try it out for myself now. Couldn't have been happier with the experience

I’ve never left a review before but I felt like I needed to give this place the attention and respect it deserves. I absolutely love the vibe and the bar and the bartenders. The attention these girls gave us, along with their hysterical personalities literally made our night and kept us there for hours longer than we planned on staying. I don’t know what their names are but the girl with the dreads and the blonde girl with braids did such a good job of not only taking care of us but took care of everyone else while giving smiles and cracking jokes. The drinks were great ( but a little expensive) and the bar itself was chill and laid back and overall welcoming. My friends and I will certainly be coming back.

Ordered Buffalo cauliflower and calamari, very good and generous portions. The pretzels were delicious too! Had a tasty blood orange cocktail to wash it all down.

Service was excellent, very attentive.

Dog freindly, had dinner on the patio with sister and her dog and mine. The pups were served ice water and hand fed chicken TWICE! Very appreciated. My dog is a rescue and just a few days ago was in a NYC rescue center, now she's living the high life. Good food and service with the additional pup treatment left me leaving with happy tears.

I’m leaving a review because I genuinely had a good time at the Elbow Room. The staff were very fun and ensured our experience was memorable. Drinks were good! Music was good as welll. Will definitely come back and I encourage you do too!

A little late on the review, but I visited the elbow room last Saturday night and although disappointed the rooftop bar was closed by the time We arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at the downstairs. It was beyond busy but the guy bartender I think his name was Matt was great. He was beyond attentive when he noticed we were being looked over by the other guy & hustled mine and my parties(party of 8) drinks as soon as one of us went to the bar every time after that. Will definitely visit again when the roof is open!

Went today for happy hour with my daughter. We sat outside and had drinks and nachos. The nachos were delicious and my daughter's cocktail was great too. I had a nice pinot. The best part is that we brought our dogs. Our server, Sky, (who was fabulous) brought the dogs water and chicken pieces! It was so much fun to sit out with the dogs and people watch while we ate. We will definitely be back.

Had a great experience sitting on the rooftop over the weekend. Even though it was getting busy, the servers were attentive, quick and easy to get a hold of. Food came out in about 15 minutes, hot and ready to eat!

Menu was fleshed out with soups and salads, burgers, wraps and entrees. Specials looked great too!
Drink menu was extensive and beer list was huge!

I've been here for dinner, drinks, and the comedy nights. The food and drinks are great and consistent. The prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is very upbeat. It's no surprise that they are packed on the weekends. They have a rooftop bar that I have not been to yet, but that seems like a good time, too. Definitely recommend

Great place. Solid service every time. We always have a blast there. Food is wonderful. Kudos to our bartender Ashley who had to deal with a group of drunken early 20s guys who thought they were the greatest thing since Cheez Whiz. Finally, she had the bouncer eject them. I would not have been as patient as she was. We stayed longer than expected and will be back because of the great service she provided.

Amazing experience for my first time at elbow room! Went around 330 for some food with my friend and my brand newly adopted today American bulldog/pit mix and they made him feel so welcome! We went because it's a"dog friendly" place but my expectations were exceeded! I want to say it was the owner who brought out a bowl of ice water before we could even get a table! They even brought him out some grilled chicken as a treat! Our server Mallory was great 👍will for sure be back with Dozer!

First time eating here the interior looked vaguely familiar from bar days of the past. Upon entering we were greeted and shown to our requested location outside on the sidewalk so we could enjoy the rain storm while remaining dry, our server was Ashley who I later found out was also the bartender, when I was asking questions and deciding on what to order based upon some of Ashley's recommends I noticed she was not writing anything down and I had off the menus requests I waited to see what would come of our orders and a few minutes later our appetizers arrived perfect and with the extra instructions perfectly executed. The same went for our main course perfectly executed, her service was amazing and her recommendations were spot on, I was so pleased with everything I asked to speak to Paul the manager and pay him a compliment on his wonderful staff and a special kudos to Ashley. I cant wait to visit The Elbow Room again.

The bartenders work very hard here to keep everyone happy, even given high demand. It can be tough at times to satisfy everyone, but as long as you are kind they are extremely kind and appreciate and give great service. The bouncers are gentlemen and make sure the right people are let into the establishment and don’t stand for any BS, which makes it safer for everyone. Always open later than most with a strict curfew that honestly helps get people home safe. See you next time :) ;)

This place is amazing. They have an enormous tap in the bar area. Great food. A unique dining section. A rooftop patio with it's own bar (though with way fewer beers). There's really something for everyone.

The best part of this bar is Michigan fans congregate here in the fall to watch the Wolverines and they hang flags and team memoriabelia.

I came to Elbow Room after a long night out to have a night cap and it ended up being a whole new party! Elbow Room after midnight was a vibe. Drinks, cool bartenders, good music & an experience. Highly recommend!

Food is delicious! Staff is wonderful! Very fun rooftop bar. Many fun times had in the comedy club as well! Must check out if you’re on the area!
