Pompanoosuc Mills is magnificent! When my wife and I were renovating our dining room, we searched at length for a company that employed American carpenters and cabinetmakers, used sustainably harvested wood supplied by American lumber companies, and sold furniture directly to their customers at competitive prices. Pompanoosuc met these criteria. We visited its store in West Hartford, Connecticut and asked for guidance in selecting several pieces of furniture, including a table, chairs, sideboard, and console. Kristen, the saleswoman, devoted hours to our exploration and related inquiries. She was very knowledgeable. Equally important, she was patient. Our interactions with her were always pleasant; we would not have realized the objectives of our renovation without her thoughtful guidance. After we submitted our order, Kristen and the store’s manager, Rebekah, were conscientious in keeping us informed throughout the manufacturing process. On delivery day, my wife and I were impressed by Ian and Nate as they carried the furniture from their large Pompanoosuc truck the length of our driveway to our house. They arrived with hearty handshakes, took off their shoes to avoid damaging the floors, and positioned the furniture exactly as we requested. And every piece of furniture was perfect!

All aspects of our experience as customers of Pompanoosuc Mills were spectacular. The company would be a worthy subject at business schools analyzing the culture of excellence - - trustworthiness, customer-focused service, and passionate workforce. Dwight Sargent, who founded Pompanoosuc Mills approximately 50 years ago, remains involved in the business. He can be justifiably proud in reminding us what it still means to be “Made in America.”

Beautiful furniture. Very helpful showroom staff worked with us to find the right dressers for our space and walked us through all the different options to customize our order. The lead time quoted was accurate, and they were very helpful when we had a minor design change a couple of weeks after we placed the order. Not inexpensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. We have had a set of chairs from them that are still sturdy and beautiful after 15 years in a house with 2 kids!

Pompanoosuc Mills has outstanding quality furniture and my house looks like a mini showroom. Rebekah Collins is so customer oriented. I reached out via chat as one of my tables had water spots that I could not get rid of. Rebekah reached out immediately and offered to come to my home to take a look and remedy. Not only was she prompt and on time, she was friendly and obviously loves her job! Pompy you are so lucky to have her. Not only did she spend time getting the spots out so that my table looks brand new, she also shared her technique to thoroughly clean the cherry wood!!! Awesome customer service and we will be back to make future purchases. What a pleasure it is to deal with someone who is knowledgeable and helpful! Pompanoosuc Mills is our go to place for fine, quality furnishings.

Outstanding quality, Excellent customer service. Rebekah Collins, of the West Hartford store, came out to my house to help me coordinate wood and leather colors. When my stools and bed arrived I was blown away by the quality and craftsmanship and beauty. The delivery team was professional and careful. And when I had an issue with something not being just perfect, Rebekah was quick to make it right. I cannot say enough good things about them and I highly recommend Pompanoosuc Mills!

My favorite furniture store. Top quality furniture with excellent service. You get what you pay for and the furniture is top quality and therefore more expensive than the discount or chain shops. However there is really no comparison with respect to craftsmanship. My personal favorite? No assembly required! The furniture is actually 100% constructed prior to delivery. What a novel concept. Worth a trip!

Lovely experience, seamless purchase.

I have purchased furniture several times from Pompanoosuc Mills. They have good quality, if not significantly overpriced. A few times a year, they have sales of 25% or more, which makes it almost reasonable. I was about to purchase a small and relatively light desk this week. I asked the clerk to help me put it in my vehicle and he said he could help me to my SUV but he could not help me put it in, per store policy. I told him I would put something in writing to relieve him and the company of liability. He said the policy prohibited him. I put in a complaint to the customer service, via the web, and did not hear back from them. If you are in the Connecticut area and looking for a good choice for quality wood products, I suggest Kloter farms. They have more diverse choices in products, very high quality, comparable or better prices, they often offer 0 interest financing (Pompy offers none)...and they will help you load the item.

I purchased a Coventry Dresser in 6/2023. The drawers have become increasingly difficult to close. The manager of the West Hartford store came to the home. She said because it was a floor model, we would have to pay to have it shipped back to the factory. No sympathy. Said it’s never happened before. Possibly the worst $4300 I’ve ever spent.

We purchased a TV console from the West Hartford store and after it was built and delivered we noticed marks on the top of the console caused by the weight of any object placed on it. The piece was returned to the factory for refinishing twice over an 8 week period and each time marks would re-appear within days of placing a tv, lamp etc. on the console. We were told that humidity levels at the factory could have contributed to the softness of the finish, which was the best answer they could provide. i would not recommend this company for your furniture needs.
