Willoughby's Coffee & Tea

The Eithiopia Yrgachefe was so good that I decided to take the time to post HOW GOOD IT IS!! It's so good, I bought an extra bag too take with new to Portland Oregon where "all the best roasters are." This was one of the best cups of coffee I've had in many years. It's right up there with dwane's original location of Stumptown roasters, if I remember, from 23 years ago. (Not comparing to new Stumptown, which is orders of magnitude inferior to Willoughby's Yrgachefe, of course.) Wonderful surprise. I can now stop bringing pounds and pounds of Portland coffee with me every time I come back to visit Madison. If I can find the time, I'll update this review after doing a blind cupping of Willoughby's vs a good Portland roaster's beans.

Great little coffee shop. The barista was friendly and made our lattes with love. The eggnog iced latte was a treat!!

Their coffee is one of the best I've had in CT - I had an iced almond milk latte and it was perfect. Much better than anything you'd get at SB.
Not to mention the staff there are really friendly.

Had a great Latte & a blueberry muffin. Service was excellent.

I was headed to Hammonasset on a solo beach trip and looked up good coffee near there. I found this gem and I was so pleasantly surprised! Very friendly staff, super cute area! I got an iced mocha w oat milk which is my usual order when I get coffee and it was AMAZING. So creamy, not overly sweet, very smooth flavor. I will be back on my next beach trip!

Lisa at the Madison location totally rocks !!! I love being able to walk in and be greeted in such a friendly way and to be remembered. She knows just what I want and makes it perfectly !! Love her. Give her a raise.

This is such a cute, little hidden gem of a coffee shop! My family and I pop in semi-frequently on our "beach day" trips.🥰🤩😎👌❤ 10/10 on EVERYTHING, ALWAYS! Our go-to place for coffee beans. Willoughby's roasts their own coffee and each month we buy several pounds to grind it home and using our espresso machine. every one of their stores that I've been to is a warm and inviting place and staff by personable people who care about coffee. The baked goods in the stores are tasting. What more could you want?

Stuck in traffic, we got off the highway in search of a Starbucks and stumpled onto this place. The town is so cute and the coffee is stellar. The guy behind the counter couldn't have been nicer and a large meant 3 shots, not a bunch of milk and 2 shots. The smell of coffee and artisanal display of coffees, enticed to bring some home. The guy behind the counter was not only sweet but knowledgeable about the beans. But most importantly, the chocolate chip cookie we got to share, was perfect.

Met up with my cousin Gary for the first time in over fifty years, your coffee shop was the perfect place to meet. We caught up on life and enjoyed delicious coffee and wonderful atmosphere .Thank you! Linda T.

A small locally owned coffee shop with a great selection of delicious beverages. The hot cider really hit the spot and is sourced from a local orchard. Definitely worth popping in.

Product:
Quality coffee beans. They have a variety of whole bean options between organic single origins and blends, washed & natural. Detailed descriptions can be found in a packet if you ask the baristas. Five star product in my book.

Shop:
The customer area is not a lounge, so as far as comfortability to do work or hang out, Willoughby's is maybe a four star, but they do have internet. The aesthetic of the product is well displayed too.

Customer service:
Very friendly and happy to help, answer questions about coffee, the story of their roaster, etc.

One of my favorite coffee shops and I've been going since they opened. Glad they pulled through covid. Great service and coffee!
