Always very clean; staff is friendly and helpful.
They also seem to be consistently better stocked than other Stop & Shops I have been to in the past.

Very nice store, being from AZ compares to Safeway or Frys grocery stores. I'll say prices are somewhat more reasonable in CT. Sad but true. The city of Madison is lovely.

Is a nice place to find thing that you need, and the fact that is open until midnight really help when you have a busy day.
the portable scan they have helps to make the shopping easier and faster at the checkout.

I lost my wallet at the self-check out area. After panicking when I couldn't find it in my car or on my person, called stop and shop, where I last remember having it. The wonderful women at check-out saved it and kept it until close, when I could come back a grab it after my work day. I feel terrible for not remember her name (wonderful lady with dyed red hair) but thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You saved my day

Been going here forever. Always consistent with food quality and quantity. The new renovations to the inside of the building are clean, neat, and make for an efficient shopping experience. I highly recommend trying the lunch buffet/pre-packaged meals near the deli.

The employees were very helpful when I had a wheelchair.

Undoubtedly one of the most sophisticated grocery stores I have been to. The variety is gourmet and well stocked. I was most impressed with the ingenious time saving tablet kiosk to order from the deli. Followed by the rack of scan tools you can use while you shop so you can skip the lines.
This incredible balanced rock is just to the left of Stop and Shop.

The store is tidy and the staff are kind and polite. If you need to go shopping or are just making a quick grocery run this is the place to go!

Upscale stock, even a good assortment of frozen seafood and many quality regional and local brands on the shelves .

This morning my horse was exhibiting signs of illness and I needed a thermometer. Stop and Shop was my 2nd stop searching one out (Covid-19 (side effect # 4,322) and I couldn’t find any so I went to the service desk. A wonderful, kind woman named Trish was working the desk!!! Hearing my dilemma she helped me to think of where else to inquire and as I called some big chain stores one town over (who’s recordings leave you no human option, nice customer service guys), Trish picked up the phone and also started making calls (seriously, an ANGEL). She only had to make one and found the thermometer at a local store. Additionally, after speaking with the customer service desk, she asked for the manager so she could compliment the kindness of the employee at that business!! Trish showed kindness, professionalism, courtesy and was the DEFINITION of CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! The world is a better place to me today because of the kindness and consideration of one person. Stop and Shop is blessed to have her as I was blessed to encounter her

I definitely prefer ANY Stop & Shop over Big Y.

The Branford S&S is my all time favorite place to go food shopping. I find the staff in Branford to be friendlier than Madison .

On several occasions I have gone to Madison - and its always been a pleasure too.

The Fish Department in Madison has gone out of there way a few times to get special orders for me.

We love this store right downtown behind our fav pizza place grand pizza the best around but stop and shop always has fresh produce has a great produce selection and an awesome prepared food isle they also have alot of the quality products we like we probally go to stop and shop more than any other store always have great deals on juice and soda we drink also have alot of summer cook out items just a great store plus its the closest to our campground so we go alot excellent place to shop also have red box with great movies and a pharmacy. A must go bc thier pastry dept is unbelievable. Def a 5 star shopping center

I just visited this store for the first time and I was impressed.. The store is quite organized and the staff polite.. The patrons all seemed content.. I walked the store and found it to be organized with all the product fronted.. Yes they have plenty of product and the store was emmaculate.. Some of the reviews I read were unfair.. This store is a 5 🌟.. It really is.. Soo enjoy your shopping pleasure here.. Also the product I bought was not on sale for me so the cashier gave me the card price.. Now that is customer service.. I then got a card.. Yea 5 🌟.. 🔤😀🐟🐡

When into Stop & Shop in Madison was looking for fresh seafood salad had a lovely lady name Barbara who waited on us ended up buying 2 lb of seafood salad the showcase look very pretty very clean very neat much better than BigY's ..
she then showed me some beautiful steaks that were on sale I ended up buying 4 really thick New York steaks thank you so much for your kindness and friendliness you were really big help Barbara and thank you for keeping everything clean I'll definitely be back a loyal customer..

The man working the self check-out between 6:00/7:00pm this evening was so friendly!! Best service I've had at any Stop&shop!!

A nice store with a great selection of food. The employees are very kind as well. And they have a recycling center and Redbox, which are helpful, too.

The store is well stocked and kept clean. It’s easy to locate what you’re looking for. Plenty of parking.
