Nice place to visit if you happen to be in the area. Peaceful easy stroll on boardwalk path. Beautiful greenery, birds, frogs, etc. to enjoy along the path. Nice little gift shop and educational stops on the grounds also. Free parking and trail is free.

If you are looking for an easy hike with interesting views this is the hike for you. Loved this hike! Loved all the boardwalks and we got to see a lot of different types of birds. Would definitely go here again.

This place is so serene!

The trail is a 1.2 mile loop; the elevated wooden walkway is built around a pond called "Little Pond". The views of the dense forest and wetland is picturesque. We saw birds and wildlife tracks. The trail also goes of over Bantam river in a couple of spots. There were plenty of parking on the gravel. The sign at the entrance states "White Memorial Boardwalk Parking". First you walk on a flat dirt path and take a right onto the boardwalk, which is marked black and white. There is a huge power line going through the wetland. Some of the boardwalk got narrow in certain spots. We were able to bring our baby stroller on; thankfully it was a jeep offroading one, because there were steps, rocks, and roots in certain areas. We did notice a handful of dog poop baggies on the ground; why would someone bag it and just leave it on the side of the trail? The expectation is to take only pictures and leave only footsteps. How can you pollute such beautiful grounds when you're using it also? Think people.....

Aside from that, I love the boardwalk concept. I wish I had this closer to me, I'd definitely be there daily.

11.17.23 beautiful loop on a boardwalk so sneakers or hiking boots. Lots of parking. I went solo and felt safe as there were many others on this path too.If you're into photography this is a magical place to take pics from.

A very nice 1.6 mile walk around Little Pond. Part of the time you're in the woods. You're mostly out in the open. You don't see the pond on the walk, mostly swamp. However, it's a beautiful view. Pointer, don't go on a hot day like we did. The sun can be brutal since you're mostly out on long stretches of open fields without shade.

One of my favorite walks. It's a terrific way to walk through a marsh. I'm going to return every season. Beautiful and easy. Bohemian pizza and tacos was an excellent place for lunch after our walk.

Very good place for hiking or walking with family or friends. View from the place is awesome. Just be careful on the boardwalks , don't stop out or trip on some
uneven bored. That's what happened to me and I came back wet to the parking lot.

I love this trail! It's great for birding, however it can get crowded and there isn't a ton of room to let others pass by in spots. If you go closer to sunrise you'll nearly have the place to yourself (minus a few walkers/runners). They improved/expanded the parking a ton over the past couple of years and that's amazing (it used to be just on the side of the road).

I’ve been coming here ever since I was a little kid, pretty much my whole life. It is a wonderful trail that is 2 miles in length and takes around 50 minutes to complete. Since it’s a circuit you don’t have to worry about getting lost, you will end up right where you started. However, if you want more exploration there are some side trails that run along the Moulthrop and Tannery brooks, one of which leads directly to the Litchfield greenway bike trail. The main boardwalk has amazing views of the Bantam river and of Little pond, it’s beautiful every time of year. The trail is also home to the biggest tree I have ever seen (pictured down below). Great place for photographers and hikers alike!

Really lovely loop trail over the river, pond, and through the woods. Easy and only about 1.5 miles. Don't be deterred by the huge power lines you'll see towards the beginning of the boardwalk - they'll be out of sight soon as you continue on the trail. Note that there are no bathrooms/outhouses, and parts of the boardwalk are slanted. I've heard the trail gets very busy. I arrived at around 9 AM on a beautiful fall weekend, and while I saw about 10-20 people in various groupings, for the most part I was alone and had plenty of peace and quiet on the trail. I suspect that later in the day it's much busier. Looking forward to going back in other seasons!

Outstanding! I went here for the first time after a friend told me about it. I brought a lady-friend of mine with me and we walked the whole length of the boardwalk. It was breathtaking! I was astonished as to how nicely this boardwalk has been taken care of and how nicely it was integrated into the natural landscape. I will be coming back here again and again, I'm sure. This is the perfect Autumn walk to do.

Very nice and peaceful experience. I always receive strength from the sound of the nature, crickets 🦗, frogs 🐸 and birds 🦢 and more. Not speaking about beautiful scenery of water habitat.

This park was incredibly beautiful and I loved every minute of it. It is like the best kept secret in the area and it is very easy to walk for someone who finds it difficult to hike hills as well. The only thing that I think they really need to do is improve their signage on making it easier for people to find it.

This is a great walk, however be careful when it is rainy/lots of precipitation because it floods easily. I’ve done this walk alone with a baby in a carrier, a toddler and a dog with no issues. I would not recommend taking a stroller-the boardwalk is definitely a single file wide one and the terrain is a little rough in spots, especially for a stroller.

This is a beautiful trail at the White Memorial Conservation Center. Regardless of the season, you won't be disappointed with it's sites.

Such a nice walk that is scenic and full of nature. It's very low difficulty and nearly completely flat.

Very cool hike! I clocked it at 2.5mi from the parking lot around the loop and back, at least 1.5 mi of which is on a boardwalk. As others have said it's one way which is nice for covid. In my opinion it's more of a medium sized pond 🙂

Very much enjoyed walking here after visiting the Mohawk Overlook which was about 10 minutes away. Finished with dinner at the White Horse Tavern which was also excellent.
