Home town neighborhood bar that specializes in juicy fat bar cheese burgers

Vintage dive bar with surprisingly delicious (and affordable) burgers, which are usually the only thing to eat (other than chips). Sometimes they have brats and hot dogs, which are also tasty. Limited but inexpensive beer selection and a friendly owner and crew of bartenders. Seems like a cop/vet bar based on decorations. Clearly a place for regulars. Good outdoor seating in back. One of the only dive bars in East Rock. Cash only.

Was here for a retirement party. Cool bar, burgers and dogs and a grill. Outside area was huge. Had a great time. Would definitely come back.

Definitely our speed. Low maintenance crew and crowd. Inexpensive way to have a few beers on your way to or from a meal. They only have small burgers and no fixins as I recall but definitely worth an entry on any pub crawl.

Fun place with great drinks and great burgers

Best burger or cheeseburger in the entire New Haven area made fresh right in front of you on the grill. Served on a seeded roll with either grilled onions or raw onions and sliced tomato. Your choice of condiments and beverages to compliment the delicious burger. Indoor seating again as well as outdoor during warmer weather.

Definitely not a place for people who Don't like to be poked fun of. But the burgers here are one of the best I've had around. Definitely stop by for a drink and a burger.

Fantastic local bar!

Great old bar, brick interior. Simply the best burger available. Order medium rare and that's how you get it! Pepperoni soup! Owner on premises. Always a pleasure.

Relaxed atmosphere. Good conversation. Knowledgeable bartender. Looking to relax at a 100 year old pup with atmosphere out the ying yang, go see for yourself. But don't look for a live band, there isn't one.

No gimmicks, no frills. Just a big juicy burger of high quality meat and a guy who knows how to grill it. Excellent.
