Hachi

Really good! We got the cherry blossom roll, a crispy spicy tuna roll, Philly roll, and a bento box with chicken teriyaki & sushi and everything was really good & service was friendly. Definitely my new spot for sushi.

This review is long overdue. Hachi is perhaps one of the best, if not the best, restaurants in the area. I go so often that the manager Maggie knows my order by heart! I always feel respected and welcomed when I go and my food is delicious. I wish they were open on Tuesdays so I could go every day of the week!

We had a delicious meal, particularly enjoyed the Tempura Chicken with Udon noodles - the tempura was super crispy! Wonderful atmosphere and service.

The owners are lovely. They are exception workers!

Foods kinda pricey, but service, food quality, food selection, scenery, and location make it all worth it.

Highly suggest coming here for a date night, fun night, birthday, social gathering, etc.

They take their work very seriously, garnish their foods with exceptional illustrations!

Had lunch with several friends from out of town. Although I have been here many times and have enjoyed every meal it was a new experience for the others. I was so happy that everybody loved this restaurant as much as I do. Several had not had Japanese food before and were absolutely delighted at the taste of everything that they tried. The owner is a wonderful young women who interacted with the group making everybody feel the personal care that she puts into everybody and everything prepared by their kitchen. As the group disbanded everybody stated that they would love to come back again.

Fresh fish embedded into each roll. I adored the rainbow roll, such a dynamic combination of flavors. Pumpkin-asparagus tempura roll also out of this world. Perfect place. Well done.

This is our favorite sushi spot, without a doubt. We love sushi and eat it often, and we feel so lucky to live within 30 minutes of this restaurant. It's absolutely fresh, nothing pre-rolled and chilled. Far away? Take the drive... It's so worth it! Hachi is Connecticut's gem for 🍣 and they shouldn't change a thing! Friendly and fast service as well. Wonderful!!
An update: Still amazing and still the best we've come across! Even after months, they remember all of our standard orders! I couldn't love this restaurant or the staff more. They even give little gifts out to customers during the month of December, to celebrate the anniversary of their opening. 7 years this year! Congrats to them!

We are from New York and we came to visit the town and stopped by on our first night to have sushi and HANDS DOWN THE BEST SUSHI we’ve ever had. We came back within 3 days and they did not disappoint us. The service, the atmosphere is top notch. Thank you Hachi for such great service.

Nice place for a quick bite, always friendly and the food is good for the price. I enjoy their lunch menu and come here with colleagues.

Couldn't decide between Japanese or Thai. Didn't need to pick one, this place has both. Japanese and Thai in one spot. Both done well.

Some of the best food I've ever had! The presentation is absolutely beautiful too! The tempura was AMAZING! I definitely recommend this place!

Excellent plum wine, baby octopus starter, and a plate with of sashimi, nigiri, and maki.

I came here for lunch and had a great experience! The staff was friendly and the service fast. I had a lunch Bento box for under $15, it was very tasty and filling!

This is a place where sushi won't disappoint! This is one of the tastiest sushi and miso soup I have had in recent memory.

As repeat takeout diners of sushi around Middletown (pre and post-COVID), my wife and I have found Hachi to offer the best local experience - consistently delicious (and generous) cuts, timely service, and friendly staff. They also serve a solid tempura udon.
