Thoughtful flavors, elegant presentation, excellent service, and lively ambiance. We went here for our anniversary, and it didn't disappoint. Perhaps the best chicken I have ever had; the morel sauce was perfect. Cocktails were also great.

The only things I'd change are the steep prices (thankfully apps are half off on Thursdays) and the noise level. We were seated across from a large party who definitely brought the bar vibe. Place looked a lot more placid on Saturday night. Thinking it was the Cinco De Mayo crowd.

Nice spot for drinks, their Japanese old-fashioned is different! Purists may not approve but I was curious.

Visited them once while on the way back from a race in Charlemont, MA.

We were lucky to be seated at a high top without a wait around 5pm before it became too busy. Service was friendly and helpful.

Aside from the Japanese old fashioned, we tried their truffle fries which came in a big serving size.

Bathrooms looked nice with just 1 oddity being the seat wouldn’t seem to stay up on the toilet which led to, presumably, the prior male occupant having difficulties aiming 😂

Happened upon 116 Crown while walking about in New Haven tonight! This place had an extensive, unique drink menu that my husband was impressed by. The bartenders were very creative with their drink preparation and presentation and the one drink was even served with a little fire for effect. To add to the theme we ordered the s’mores which we prepared at the table with house made marshmallows. Definitely a fun idea. The ambiance was very cool and inviting and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend stopping in!

Stunning drinks, wonderful and inventive food, and superb service. Very lovely environment also with a beautiful outdoor seating area and sexy nooks to enjoy a NYC vibe in New Haven CT.

Beautiful place, we went at 9:30pm, it is on the quiet side. The bar tender did a great job and recommended some really good cocktails and wines to us. If only there is a TV to watch some games that will make it an even better place.

My husband and I held our wedding reception in their outside urban garden. The service was exceptional; prompt and attentive. The food was exquisite. John answered all of our questions, created a delectable cocktail menu, and helped us come up with an incredible food menu that everyone is still talking about! We can’t thank everyone at 116 Crown enough for helping us create the best night to celebrate our marriage!

Devoured the decedent Outré cocktail last night, unforgettable.

What distinguishes this drink from it’s counterparts, are the basil and hibiscus crystals which occupy the top of the egg white float. Delivering a crunch, followed by a warm embrace usually reserved for the closest of friends.

If you try one thing at 116 Crown, make sure it is the Outré. Ask for Kevin behind the bar, he will take care of you.

Was there last night for dinner - had no idea I was in for one of the best meals of my life .
Living in NYC - great food is abundant - but ct you have to look harder for good food . This restaurant is phenomenal / everything was fresh home made and delicious - my favorites used to be River Tavern, Copper Beach, Cafe Flo - this place is phenomenal - the eggplant which they grow off the patio was better than mine which used to be the best-can’t wait to go back -=Bravo to the chef for his amazing work - finally a restaurant in New Haven to make food a true art form - well done !!! I am thrilled to have found this place - thank you Crown 116 for taking food to this Level !!

Easily one of my favorite places in New Haven. The food is consistently delicious.

Went to this place on a whim from pictures and reviews. They lived up to the reputation and more! Food was great. Service and atmosphere was amazing! Servers are friendly and personable and professional at the same time. Food was really good but the atmosphere and our server stood out!

Great cocktail menu and delicious food. The bar interior is beautiful but make sure to also check out the patio, it's by far the best place to spend a summer evening in New Haven.

I love to go here to relax, either to enjoy friends, meet new and interesting people, or simply to drink a fabulous drink and enjoy the surroundings. The food is simple, well prepared, sourced locally or at least adventurously and ingeniously. I love the vibe here: diners of all ages, interests... the owners create a homey feeling...comfortable, cocoonlike, safe, fun, alive...really terrific.

Great cocktail bar with amazing craft cocktail selection. There is a backyard patio with an igloo that would be awesome for a first date!

Really fantastic carefully prepared cocktails (personally recommend their Pisco Sour!) and delicious food. We also had excellent service from our waitress on our anniversary dinner. Worth spending a little extra!

Been here twice, first time was precovid and the outdoor back area was a vibe along with the great drinks that were carefully crafted and unique. The food was good as well. Came back recently , drinks were still on point but menu was very thin as far as food choices. Was informed by staff they are having issues finding kitchen staff. Would go back soon back for drinks and apps , versus dinner. Not enough options . Hope they can get there staffing issues figured out as they have good food !

Strong 💪 cocktails but options of cocktails are limited probably due to covid-19. Price is higher but it is worth of it

Possibly my favorite happy hour spot in new haven. The food is really good especially the octopus tacos, and the cocktails are great for the price. I do wish they had more variety with the drink options though. I get tired with the cocktails, having some affordable beer options during happy hour would bring be in much more often.
