The food was much better this time The rice was not dry it was actually pretty delicious and was full of chunks of chicken shrimp. I also ordered the boneless spare ribs and that was also delicious I also appreciate the fact that they have Cash and delivery.

I've lived in Connecticut my entire life and have eaten at countless Chinese takeouts,buffets,eat in spots etc.
Up until about 2021 in March I moved out to the Midwest and have Heavily missed Connecticut Chinese food, tonight me and my GF and son went out to this place to pick up our dinner that we ordered which goes as follows ( sweet and sour chicken, " dragon meets phoenix " as I call it, fried dumplings, egg drop soup and an order of crab rangoons ) it's been a LONG time since I've had " Americanized Chinese food " cooked so well!!!
Every single item was amazing in it's own way and had me on my heels with every bite ! Not only was the meal amazing but every single item tasted perfect! The general tsaos chicken was a star! As were the shrimp which were perfectly spiced (: the fried rice that was alongside the sweet and sour chicken was delicious!! Going back to the Midwest will have me missing this place big time !! this place didn't disappoint in the slightest and our entire order came out to around $41 ! Not to mention we got an egg roll, fried crackers which I assume we're like a fried egg noodle, I love those !!
The egg drop soup was perfect! Absolutely a place you've gotta try out !!

(* Beef teriyaki sticks, French fries, crab Rangoons, sweet & sour chk'n, sesame chicken, chk'n fried rice, boneless spare ribs & sometimes bone-in ribs, & of course Forfune Cookies 10 ct. in a bag)🥠

Yes they have changed ownership but the old owner showed them how they made most of their food and it has stayed the same we still order from them and I recommend the spicy garlic chicken!!!

Great food and portions for the price, not a long wait time, the shrimp lo mein is my go to I highly recommend it

I will say I've been going here since about 2022. By far very good. And I've had Chinese before elsewhere and the crab rangoon here is perfect. It's not that puff pastry stuff that's flaky and falls apart. it's good. Some places usually have it salty this is not the case. Very fresh hot food. I've had the beef broccoli and the chicken with vegetables myself. Awesome. The family is nice. If there's any bad reviews they just Karen's that go out and wreck everything.. do not listen to them.

Food is always hot fresh when I get it delivered. I love the broccoli and beef. Nothing is over sauced or over cooked. I wish the crab ragoons were more light and flaky but I can deal

Excellent food and excellent service. Moving into town and have now ordered from there two weekends in a row because their food is so fresh. Order the mixed vegetables with clear sauce and it was bright and colorful and tasted like freshly bought and cut veggies. Also!..their Sesame chicken was actually full of chicken! And crispy! The Lo mein was not greasy and the wings were crispy.

This has been our go-to place for years and last night's Valentines dinner was no exception! The food is always fresh and delicious, and made by a wonderful family.
Edit: Thanks Anna for introducing us to the dessert offerings. The tiramisu was AMAZING!! What a wonderful ending to a fantastic meal!

The best pork buns I've ever had in my life. They are my favorite food, so incredibly delicious. Some of the best eggrolls I've had too! Orange chicken is really good as well. Highly recommend!!

By far best Chinese food ever had. I'm disabled and can't get out that often. Thank God for mandarin garden delivery the food is amazing the staff are so amazing. Can't say enough about mandrin garden. If in Jewett City stop by and grab some Chinese food you won't regret it.

Oh my goodness, the food was great!!! I had an egg roll, boneless bbq spareribs and fried rice. The egg roll was crisp, not soggy or greasy, the bbq spareribs were very tasty and the fried rice tasted fresh. (I've had some rice that tasted like they prepared it in last weeks oil, not here... other places. ) I will come back the next time I'm in the area.

Like most ppl I’ve had Chinese food in many places over many years. I could not be happier that this restaurant is near my house. Mandrin Garden honestly is some of the best small Chinese joint food I’ve had in the country. Well done. See ya in a few days

Best Chinese food!!! We have it at least once a week. The shrimp is cooked perfect every time! Snow peas have that little crunch! Everything is cooked to perfection!!! Jewett City is lucky to have Mandarin Garden and all the other good places to eat!!!!!!

I lost it when I recently found out that you were closed on TUESDAYS. I could barely wait for WEDNESDAY! OUTSTANDING WHOLE CHICKEN WINGS! Moo Goo Gai Pan, General Tso's chicken! Always fresh, Always delicious, Always WANTED! Thank you for your outstanding service and excellent food!

Best hot and sour soup! General tsaos, beef sticks, and snicker cake was all delicious. Delivery was pretty quick, too.

Wish there was delivery available for those "feeling under the weather" days. Food is great. quick service. They have the perfect Hot and sour soup and house--made noodle chips to go with. I have not found that perfect combination anywhere else yet....

Mandarin Garden has fed my family for over 8 years...maybe more. We have our favorites/usual order. It's been nice to see the family that run the restaurant grow up and grow bigger. Lovely family providing the big City with very good Chinese cuisine.

Very good food and very good prices. Once time ordering. Everthing came correct,food was hot and the lady was very nice on the phone as well as the drive was nice as well. I would order here again.
