Nica's Market

I love its breakfast and lunch special! People are very nice. And it's at a perfect location for shuttle. You can enjoy brunch while waiting for the Orange Line shuttle.

Nica's has been a great place for years. The owners are professional, thoughtful, very friendly and make sure things are running in a way that helps everyone have a great experience. They're food is fantastic, always has been! Options are always exciting and interesting, never boring and always delicious. I order catered lunches for my office and have never been disappointed. Delivery is always on time, delivered with a smile and is always neat and correct. They went the extra mile just recently for me, when I made a mistake with listing the day I wanted my order. If they hadn't noticed the error, we would not have had lunch for a very important meeting!! Highly recommend Nica's Market for individual dining AND for catering!

One of my favorite places to swing by for lunch. Great hot food to go or, eat outside if the weather is nice. The paninis are awesome.

Nica's is amazing! The food is fresh and fast, even during lunch rushes. The employees are always kind and many are bilingual. I love Nica's and feel it truly embodies the diversity (and tastiness) of East Rock. I have never been disappointed and will continue to be a loyal customer here.

Wow what a deli. Absolutely fantastic food. An $8 sandwich was my brunch, lunch and dinner and was seriously tasty. The line can get long it seems but there’s a team of people serving and they’re great fun while they get you through. Wish I could visit more 😋

So so so yummy. There's a few similar looking places on this street. This is the ONE. the hot food in the back. On point. The Sicilian pizza! The spaghetti ball!? I've never even heard of such a thing! So great and I'll bring out of town friends so they can experience an actual new Haven NEIGHBORHOOD. Just lovely!

Went back on Saturday and got the calamari salad.... Wow!

Nica’s is an East Rock classic. I love stopping by here for a coffee. Today, I had a hot chai with vanilla and it was the best I have had in New Haven. Prepared foods are delicious and staff is kind. I would recommend!

A unique local market in a quiet neighborhood with a fantastic deli counter. Top quality ingredients, selected and put together with care. I can't even choose, everything is so good. Not a chain. Not a clone of anything else. Nice people making delicious food with care. In good weather, the patio is unbeatable.

The paninis are the best. We always stop when we have a road trip past New Haven.

There's a bunch of great markets in the area, and Nicas is not the cheapest but has always provided the best quality in the 10+ years I've been going. Quality that cost a bit more is something I've always been fine with.

The best in CT. for Italian food. Nica's is run by Joe, a humble and generous man. I can easily eat every meal of the day there. Great meats, sauces, desserts, etc. I work about 150 feet from them, even bartended their family wedding, and it was a pleasure. Great food, better people -DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

Absolutely the cutest market! The food is delicious and the gelato tasted as if I was in Italy!

There grilled Panini sandwich's for breakfast are amazing. Customize your order. and add your favorite sauce, to your sandwich. Large selection of prepared italian cuisine as well as grocery items. Be prepare for large crowds during peek ours. Their outdoor seating is great, the prices are amazing.

Must try!!! Amazing pastrys, to die for paninis, and wraps!! Hard to find cookies and treats. Iced coffee,, and a Cafe to get whatever you are craving. You have to visit here if you are in the area.

Have had everything from breakfast to pizzas here. Always solid. Prefer Nica’s to the other spots on Orange. Higher quality to price ratio for sure. Friendly people too.

Incredible little shop that is awesome for lunch with friends or for catering your events! I come with my friends for their paninis and prepared foods, as well as their baked goods! They seem to always be busy, a great sign, but the staff never treats you like you're an inconvenience. Always super kind and helpful! I got a large catering order over the weekend and they were timely and helped get stuff to my car. Can't recommend enough!

Food is excellent but very chaotic and disorganized when it comes to checking out.

I have been coming here for years and I adore this place. Great vibe to the place and anything you get will taste delicious. Highly recommend the cow girl panini
