Marsh Botanical Garden

There is an outdoor flower area and 3-4 large greenhouse areas. Not all of the greenhouse areas are accessible to the public at all times. Some are badge access or for researchers, or off limits if they are spraying pesticide that day. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful place. Basically just drive up and walk around; there’s not really any organization to it (no tours or admission ticket required).

Nice and unusual plants and worth the drive. Could use more signs as to what is open to the public and where to begin and end. My family as so impressed with the photos I took that I will bring them back to see for themselves all the curious plants that are here. Thank you for a nice experience.

Beautiful place, easy walk lots of pollinator plants and a gorgeous hidden koi pond. Benches for sitting. Offers guided walks as well. Would visit/10 if you're reading this.

A little known gem in New Haven owned by Yale University. Greenhouses are still closed due to Covid (as of May, 2021) but the property is open to the public. It's not a formal botanical garden but interesting plantings abound on this property. A nice place for a nature break in the city.

The greenhouses were very educational, the botanical variety was very cool. Because the name sets it up for comparison to places like the Bronx and St Louis botanical gardens you have to realize that this is an approximately 1 acre park: it is nicely cared for but does not hold a candle to those larger institutions.

Unfourtnately, there was no staff available or access to the green houses when I visited but this garden has a beautiful variety of plants. This place is great for picture taking or just a mesmerizing stroll. Also be sure to check out the Koi pond hiding between some green houses.
