ShopRite of Southbury

My mother has had her groceries delivered from here for several years to her home. She has since moved to a skilled nursing facility a month ago. I recently called to add a decorative small tree/plant for a surprise Christmas cheer to add to her room to be delivered and was assisted by the online shopping staff. They were exceptionally helpful in choosing a cute tree and then surpassed any expectations by placing lights (even installed batteries) and decorations on it! My Mom and the staff at the nursing home love it! Thank you so much for the great customer service! Merry Christmas to all! 🎄

After my nearby ShopRite closed (Autumn 2022), I have shopped at 3 different locations, depending on my itinerary. I like the Shop Rite in Southbury the best of all 3! It's clean, has a good hot buffet bar & hot grinders, good selection of cheeses, bakery products, and pre-packaged food. Sale items are in stock, even late in the week. And the cashiers have been friendly each and every time. I don't buy fish, meat or poultry, so I haven't had any of the unfortunate experiences some other reviewers have. For the items I purchase, I prefer this Shop Rite location for its cleanliness and selection.

Great prices and very helpful employees make this the grocery store to go in Southbury. Fantastic cheese department and fresh meat!

Freshest fish in any area supermarket. PS, don't go shopping if you're in a crabby mood. I've never had any of the experiences people are moaning about. Check your calendar, it's 2023, we've just experienced a pandemic. The bagger chatting with the cashier, worked through this and allowed you to continue shopping.

Dairy aisle very well managed and stocked. Always stocked even during peak.

Of all of the Shop Rites I have been to, this is the best. Isles are clean, deli food is top notch, and even the cashier area is well maintained. Parking lot can be a bit tough at times and getting in and out, but never had too much trouble. Whether you live in the area or a town or two away, this is definitely a 5 star place to do your grocery shopping or grab a quick bite at the hot\cold food bar.

I have always had a great experience at the Southbury ShopRite. It is clean and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I am especially grateful for Afshan and the ShopRite from home crew for make our groceries shopping the easiest it has every been. They are the absolute best and so kind to me and my two kids anytime we are there.

This is my favorite grocery store that has the friendliest employees that greet you with smiles, assist anyway they can and it’s always a great positive shopping experience. It is clean, well organized, and have written many times complimenting outstanding employees and now especially during these difficult times I have to say that everyone deserves to be recognized for their positive attitudes while wearing PPE and sometimes not happy customers. Thank You and appreciate all that you do each and everyday.

Prices beat Stop and Shop ( other grocery store in town ) every time. Family run and it shows. Polite, helpful and they always bag my groceries! Easy 5 stars.

Best prices for frozen fruit perfect for smoothies

This ShopRite is a superstore with a huge selection of fresh veggies, meats, seafood, deli, baked goods and all your basic necessities. Prices are very competitive and there is ample parking. Customer service is friendly and helpful. I have sometimes found it convenient to order groceries online and have it delivered to my mother who sometimes can't go herself. Delivery charges are a bit high but the convenience makes up for it.

Great store. Good selection and stocked well. Gourmet foods, cheeses etc. wonderful selection of greens and fruit with lots of organic choices. Good and varied selection of prepared meals near the deli, fav includes the nac&cheese!

This ShopRite was probably the best grocery store I've been. They have a great selection of prepared food at a reasonable cost. Also the store was clean. This was the first time I shopped at this store because I just moved to the area, I highly recommend this store to anyone else who's moving in to Oxford Greens, much better than the market we have in town.
