I cannot say enough amazing things about this vet clinic! A special shout out to Dr Matz who is truly the best vet in the world! The level of care, compassion, and reason she applies to every thorough detail is impressive and it shows as she is always so far booked out. The front staff is always so kind and work to resolve your issue as soon as possible. Highly recommend this clinic!

I love it here! The office always does their very best to get me in as quickly as possible when I think there's something wrong with my dog.
The doctors are very knowledgeable,kind and compassionate!
I use the Care Plan and can bring my Chihuahua in as many times I need with no extra charge.....including nail trimming!

Always seen on time and the doctors are so kind and knowledgeable . They have answered any questions about my cats. The most I've waited in the waiting area is 4 minutes. The rooms and waiting area are always clean. The front desk staff are friendly and kind.

There are not words for how much I appreciate the genuine care and concern Dr Matz provides. She supported me through a devastating cancer diagnosis of my favorite pet (ever). She absolutely went the extra mile exploring all options, sharing her perspective and supporting us through an incredibly difficult time.
We put our guy to sleep last night at an overnight emergency vet and I heard from Dr Matz first thing this morning to discuss, and ultimately make me feel confident in our decision.
Because pets cannot speak, having a vet who is caring and knowledgeable is absolutely critical in order to make decisions comfortably and confidently. I would absolutely recommend Dr Matz to anyone looking for an ally in caring for their pet.

We absolutely love Dr. Matz. She cared for our dog Sumo who passed away in June. During this time Dr. Matz was patient and understanding. She would call us on weekends and evenings to give us information when she was not working. She genuinely cares for your pet and it shows through her actions. Highly recommend!

We have to visit the vet once a month to have our boy Finn get his vaccination VCA and their staff are first rate. Knowledgeable, caring and attentive at all levels.

Dr Kristine Matz and the entire staff are professional and show true caring and love for what they do. The hospital is immaculate with a large waiting room so cats are not on top of dogs. The exam rooms are also clean and quiet. At my prior vet I could hear consultations and dogs barking which made my own dog go on high alert. A very very good experience - I was there for an annual check up but I am so confident they must handle serious cases with expertise and compassion. Saw an equal mix of cats and dogs - all shapes and sizes. Highly recommend.

Beautiful office, very caring staff and prices are very reasonable. I came here from NY on my daughter's recommendation. It was a fraction of the cost of vets in NY.

I must say that I am very pleased with the services that I received at VCA Cheshire Animal Hospital! My dogs had been seen in the Stamford location,however I have moved and wanted to stay with VCA. Although they were booked out until September they did their best to fit me in within a couple of days of me contacting them! All of the staff that I encountered were very pleasant and informative.

We’re so grateful to have found a vet that takes such great care of our pets. We followed Dr. Matz to VCA Cheshire and have had the best experience. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, and they take the time to listen to our concerns and answer all of our questions in detail. Our elderly dog has had a few health issues over the years and they’ve been so great at helping us get an appointment quickly and setting him up on a treatment plan. We feel so fortunate that he’s had the best care here.

Dr.Matz is such an amazing, caring, compassionate person. i followed her from her previous practice because she has been so amazing with all my animals. I had to recently take me cat to see her because i had found a lump and his side, which is always a scary situation to have to be in, Dr. Matz reassured me through everything. I called her office to check and see if the results were back and her staff informed me that she was off but would send her a message and dont you know, i received that night and was given such good news. She took the time out of her own day to make sure i was informed and reassured that he was ok. i would 100 percent recommend Dr. Matz as your vet.

I have brought both my rescue Persian cats to VCA Cheshire and have always received nothing but caring professional help. Geovahna one of the Vet Techs there has been nothing short of wonderful each and every visit. I highly recommend VCA Cheshire for any and all of your veterinary needs.

We had to switch here because there most amazing vet in the world closed her private practice and joined the vca. Dr Matz is THE BEST! She takes her time with each patient, is completely thorough, will only perform tests that are necessary, and checks up once results are in, I'm talking personal phone call that won't end until she answers all of your questions.

After three other vets weren't able to figure out what was wrong with my dog, Dr Matz was able to find a remedy to help him and prolong his life. When she thought he might have cancer, she sent us to a specialist to make sure he got the proper care. It is nearly impossible to get an appointment with her, but she is worth the wait. However, the other vets are wonderful as well.

Staff is great, they've squeezed us in when my dog had a bad ear infection and didn't have anything available for weeks. They also check up after visits. Highly recommend.

The best veterinary clinic. I've been going since my Yorkie was 16 weeks old. she's 4 now. Both my dogs go here. They were great with my dogs pregnancy and puppies. The staff is great, friendly, and very knowledgeable.

I was delighted to find my former vet at Cheshire VCA recently and have had an amazing experience at the facility. The communication is excellent with amazing followup and I've had no problem getting appts or questions answered. Everyone has been awesome to deal with.

They were so compassionate and understanding when we came to them to say goodbye to our dog. Then they sent us a beautiful card with prints of his nose and paws. I highly recommend this vet they are amazing and go above and beyond ❤❤❤

I have to admit that two years ago I left a not so great review as I felt at that visit I was being bombarded with a sales pitch by the tech. At the time it was more of an emergency visit as our regular vet wasn’t open and really she was letting me know insurance options exist. Well fast forward and our regular vet decides to merge with VCA. I have to admit I was apprehensive about staying but I am so glad I did. They have been nothing less than excellent. Truly. I have five dogs, one of which always has something weird going on. He was most recently hit by a car after sneaking out. They made sure to get him right in for his check-up, communicated with the hospital, and were very on top of his follow-up care. They are so awesome with him and gentle. They even sent me a picture today of him hanging out with the crew while he awaits his ultrasound. They are great with all my dogs, especially my stubborn Chow who is so stubborn. Thank you VCA for all you do!!

I wanted to let others know how truly amazing this team at VCA in Cheshire is. I rushed my dog there last night after ripping his sutures open and the wound was bleeding profusely. I was absolutely freaked out and didn’t know what to do so I immediately brought him to the VCA in Cheshire. The girl and the guy at the front desk were so sweet and took us right in. The tech was SO calming and made my dog and myself feel extremely comfortable throughout the entire situation (I wish I knew your name!). She even just sat with us for a few minutes while we were waiting to be seen by the doctor. Then the doctor came in and she was also extremely pleasant and extremely thorough with what was happening and what her recommendations were. I felt like my dog got the best care possible and I would not hesitate to return to this office. The team there seems like they truly care about their patients and are very pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately my dog needs surgery and I will be meeting with the surgeon, Dr. Stern, next week (who I’ve heard great things about). Even though this is a difficult time for my family right now with my dog becoming ill, the team at VCA is making it easier to deal with. I greatly appreciate everything they’ve done. They were not only kind to my dog and I, but I saw the team show their kindness and compassion to everyone that walked through the door that night.

I took my cat here yesterday because she was matted and I am SO happy I did!!! I can tell my cat is so much happier and she's even being more loving and cuddly. My cat is my baby and I'm sure many of you can relate about your own pet/pets. I'm sure you're like me and want to give your animal the best care possible. I highly suggest taking your pet to VCA Cheshire Animal Hospital. The staff did not only treat my cat very nicely, they also treated me with the upmost respect. I can't thank them enough for helping treat my little girl.
