Namoo Korean Barbecue Restaurant

This place is great. I went here with a party of six so I had a little bit of everything because we did some sharing.

The food was amazing. My favorites were the La Golbi, the BiBimBops, and the kimchi pancakes. The beef was cooked perfectly on the bone and cut thin. The bops did not have too much rice and the rice they had was cooked to crispy perfection on the hot skillet on which they're served. The bronzino, dumplings, and sushi were also pretty good.

Good service. They're on top of it even though the restaurant was moderately busy. They're friendly and offer honest recommendations which I appreciate.

I'm not in this area often but when I'm here, this is where I'll be eating.

My bf and I have gone here a couple times so far and will be returning. Both of us were pleased with the portions of our meals and how delicious everything was. I never really had korean food before this, and because of my experience here, I wish I would have sooner. I encourage everyone I know to try this place out. Its worth it. Its also very clean! The staff and who I believe to be the owners seem like really nice, personable people. The food is brought out promptly as well.

Namoo is a Jewel in Kent. The menu has something for everybody. We were just there and enjoyed a deli lunch. We had their seaweed salad and Kani salad. We also ordered their glass noodles and their short ribs with house sauce. The kids had sushi. We will definitely be back. This is our favorite new restaurant in Kent, Ct.

Very friendly staff and good food. 4 kim chi served at the same time as my meal. Nice metal chopsticks. I enjoyed the spicy BBQ with my Kim chi, but could have asked for more hot / spicy flavor.

Just a great place - been there now 4 times, and haven't tried all the variety of dishes that look so good. It's run by a lovely couple who came from Korea over 20 years ago. It has become our place to go, and to bring visiting family and friends. Very highly recommended!!!

Delicious food in a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Kimchi Jeon pancake (seemed like bin dae duk style) and TteokBokki were our favorites. Seared tuna sashimi was extremely fresh and delicious. Wait staff were very friendly and attentive.

Korean food equal or better than Korea town in midtown Manhattan in an earnest mom and pop no fuss no muss environment. Their sautéed squid and octopus is mixed with onions and Korean spices served with salad, miso soup and 4 authentic Korean small sides for $20, you simply can’t beat the value and the delicious flavors and texture of the dish. Grilled branzino and mackerel are particularly fresh and served over sautéed vegetables with sides. The owner also owns the best fish store in north western CT and has a knowledge of how to source and bring the very best to your plate including a whole menu of sushi and sashimi. I had three pieces of salmon sashimi last week that was smooth and melted in your mouth. The tuna sashimi served in a ponzu sauce with artfully cut scallions was beautiful to the eye and top 3 as far as best ever in all my travels. Well done Namoo!

FABULOUS food. Excellent quality ingredients, prepared with heart. We ordered Kimchi Bibimbop and kalbi, pork dumplings, seafood pancake and soy wings. Better than I’ve had in NYC. Had lunch there for the first time today and almost went back again for dinner.

Are you Korean food all over the Metropolitan New York area in this place can hang with almost any of them. Seafood pancake and japchae were Amazing. I’ll leave more details later but I had to spread the word on this great place.

What a surprise! I had no idea there was a Korean place in Kent and when we were camping close by we decided to give this place a try. So glad we did! Very delicious and nice portions! We will be back again.

If you like Korean food, you’ll love Namoo! They’ve got a wide variety of menu items and fair prices. This restaurant adds some global variety to Kent’s restaurant scene.

Highly recommend and love that there were so many vegetarian options. The bibimbap was incredible along with very friendly service and super clean restaurant. Cannot wait to return.

Diverse selection of regular Korean favorites, competently prepared. Homey and unpretentious. Quite excellent yummy mushroom sundubu.

Wonderful authentic Korean cuisine and they make their own kimchi! A great place in beautiful Kent, CT.
