The White Horse is amazing, from the scenic drive to the amazing historic atmosphere
The place is filled with history.
Ask the waitress for the book , it's filled with information about every antique they have.
In the summer, sitting out on the back deck with the stream rushing by is the best.
Staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating.
the last few times I've been there, I had a big group of people, I called ahead to order apps so they would be ready when everyone sat down the manager took my order was so accommodating and even recommended 2 special apps , I wish I remembered his name.
The food was amazing all my friends loved it.
Thank you to everyone who made a good time great.

The White Horse was a pleasant surprise. we found it on a Google Maps search because we were hungry.

The view of the river is magnificent and relaxing.

The food was extremely good “home cooking”.
i love chicken pot pies and their does not disappoint. it was huge and delicious. My son had the mac and cheese which he devoured. we also shared the artichoke dip with chips. that was also delicious.

we look forward to visiting The White Horse again 👍

Another one of those places you get in the car and drive out of the way for good comfort food, fireplace and good drinks. Met a friend there for birthday dinner and stayed about 2 hours. Left with just as much food as I ordered. Started with pear and blue cheese salad (which was enough for us to share). Dined on the authentic homemade pot pie and a fireside toddy. The golden brown baked puff pastry with the mounted "horse on top" served over piped whipped mash potatoes was divine. Definitely made with love and handled with care. We saved room for dessert and couldn't pass up sharing the Wisdom Pie. Thin slice, but oh so tasty. The dusted cinnamon was a perfect companion to the rich caramel center. Def worth the drive. Will gas up and head that way soon!

Situated in the jungle with adequate parking. It has interesting interiors. The place is cosy and also has pretty fireplace. The liquor and food both are good. Food comes in huge servings, so be careful while ordering. Surprisingly, they have a lot of Indian items on menu as well.

Such a pretty, cozy restaurant, sitting by the banks of a stream. My husband and I each had onion soup and it was excellent. The broth was highly flavored but not too salty and it was covered by a cap of melted cheese. I had a White Horse salad, which had among other things, bacon, crisp apple, and walnuts.- just delicious. My husband’s burger was large, juicy, and it came accompanied by thick cut fries, mixed with sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere is quaint and comfortable.

First time eating here. Food was absolutely delicious and served hot! We started with French onion soup which was very flavorful. Husband got the shepard's pie and I ordered the prime rib. Both were just so good. Ended with the fruit pie which was served with vanilla icecream. Sinful. We would definitely go back.

During my recent visit to the White Horse Country Club, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional dining experience that awaited me. The location of the restaurant by a river with a waterfall was breathtaking and added to the overall calming atmosphere. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the friendly staff who made us feel welcome and comfortable.

The decor of the restaurant was elegant, with a touch of rustic charm that added to the cozy ambiance. The fireplaces provided a comfortable warmth, making it a great place to unwind and relax with friends and family.

As for the food, it was simply scrumptious. The menu featured a wide variety of delicious dishes, and each one was beautifully presented. I especially enjoyed the perfectly cooked hamburger, which was juicy and flavorful.

Despite the high quality of the food and the atmosphere, I found the prices to be reasonable, making it an excellent value for money. Overall, the dining experience at the White Horse Country Club was exceptional, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene and inviting atmosphere with great food. Thank you guys.

First, the horse stamp on the burger bun is my favorite part of my experience at this resturant. It is a small detail compared to our entire great experiece, but it brought me so much joy!
Overall, The White Horse is a great place to stop for a bite to eat after a hike, especially after working up a decent appetite. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal in the area.

We love this place. It is always so comfortable, whether you sit outside or in. The food is great every time. We have come here often and get something different each time and have never had any complaints. My kids both love it as well; my son actually asked to go here, out of all places to celebrate his 4th birthday next month. My kids love their burgers and their pot pie with tater tots on top. Staff is always so sweet and attentive, and the restaurant is always super clean. Definitely go if you’re in the area! Oh, and get dessert! You won’t regret any of their options.

One of my favorite spots to meet friends for a cozy meal any season! Sit by fireside in a charming English pub atmosphere, or in one of the other dining rooms for a more quiet experience, or outside on the lovely deck, overlooking the roaring river. The menu is very large with clear descriptions of what to expect. Choices are eclectically curated, from daily Pot pie, bangers and mash to delicious fish dishes, burger, handheld sandwiches, braised short rib creations and lovely salads. Something for everyone.

Really cool place with a great vibe and history to boot. We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday. Service was top notch, food excellent. Two nitpicks. First, the draft beer list could be expanded to include more variety. Second, my wife called days in advance to reserve a table by the fireplace. Initially we were seated elsewhere until my wife asked to be moved to a vacant table - right in front of the fireplace. It had a reserved placard on it, presumably for us. Simple miscommunication between reservation and seating staff. But they made it right and the evening was certainly enjoyable.

I was passing by this restaurant and decided to stop there. First of all the interior is beautiful there, it's very rustic and cozy. Their outdoor area is amazing too, you can seat on the deck with the river view. The menu: I was very happy to see variety of different food in the menu for a reasonable price. They have so many interesting options so it was hard for me to make a decision. We ended up ordering black truffle meatloaf and chestnut beer slow braised short ribs, both of which were soooooooo delicious!!! This place is a hidden gem!!

Always very crowded (especially on weekends)and when it's crowded it's very hard to find parking. The staff gets 5 ⭐ stars. I got the last high top table in the bar area, closest to the front door. It was very chilly. When the table behind me left, the bartender helped me move my seat. Both bartenders were great and very attentive especially when competing with the crowd. They make a great beverage too. I originally started with a hot toddy and graduated to a rum and (diet )coke. The nacho duck appetizer was delicious and the special omelette of the day was good too. Definitely one of my favorite spots to go to.

Expanded parking - recommended to call for reservation. Ask for bar section near fire if you want a cozy chill atmosphere- or the dinning room on the left as you walk in for a more traditional room. Must read is the back of the
Menus or dessert menus to try and find all the items mentioned. Ordered calamari French onion and crock of mussels. Calamari were a bit greasy but not over cooked. French onion was perfect best I have had but I don’t like the muck they serve with lbs of cheese. This was good broth. Mussels delicious and asked for more crisps for the wonderful seafood based broth. Bonofi pie and sticky toffee with cups of tea and coffee. Professional staff, friendly.

Wow! The food was great. The service was excellent also. We dropped by and we were so lucky as we got seated right away. But I recommend that you make reservation as this place is a local favorite so you may have to wait over an hour if you don’t have a reservation. I had fish and chips which was out of this world. But they have so many other delicious selections. They have bar section, indoor dining area and outside dining area. We ate indoors where there are so many historical artifacts o you feel like you are back in George Washington days. They have ample parking right in front of the pub/restaurant with beautiful flowers. Price is very reasonable and the food was delicious!!

Awesome outside deck and eating area right next to a river.
Can be noisy at times, and if sitting in the far right room, you're right next to the kitchen and the fans add to that noise.

Great atmosphere, cool artifacts dating back to the 1500's, delicious food and awesome dessert. This place was really cool.

Let me start off by saying the food is amazing. It’s an English style pub which I’m not used to, but it worked. Loved the inside decor and the view from the outside. It was a little crowded so I did not get to sit by the fireplace, hopefully next time. We tried the duck poutine, buffalo chicken spring rolls, Korean sesame bbq wings, and the House Signature Burger. The wings were amazing. Loved the sauce and the juiciness of the meat. Spring rolls were crispy and not too spicy. You were able to enjoy the flavors. The poutine was good. In my opinion it had way too many onions and not enough cheese curds. The burger was the star of the evening. You could taste the different blends of meats that went into the burger. The finale of the night was the Chocolate With Friends. Delicious gnash chocolate complimented by toffee and peanut butter. The pretzels on top were a nice touch. Parking can be difficult, no issues with it this time. Great experience.

Set in front of a beautiful brook. Went for early dinner. Extremely friendly staff. Kid friendly from beginning to end. Food was excellent. Prices were reasonable. Definitely worth the stop.
