The Iron Rail

We are in the area fishing a tournament on Candlewood and needed a bite to eat. The Iron Rail did not disappoint. Service was top notch and the food was good. I got the Wrangler burger…so good. Fries were tasty too. Staff ran the place like a well oiled machine. Thank you.

We will be back to eat for our next event!

I have been here about three times since owners have changed and I still love it here. The service is great, food is always pretty tasty. Came here on New Years Day. It wasn't as crowded as I expected it to be. This was perfectly fine. The scallop appetizer didn't appear seared. It was still pretty tasty with the sauce and bacon. My poor delicious salmon I was craving was definitely over cooked. I wish there was more mango and peppers on it as this was what gave it most of it's flavors. I enjoyed this pretty healthy meal. The crab cake was amazing and my Mom really enjoyed the steak and crab meat entree. This is still one of my favorite spots. Love the servers. They are always so pleasant and friendly. Can't wait to do their brunch.

The food is excellent. Two friends and myself enjoyed a wonderful meal and 6 drinks for under 120 and it felt like a 200 experience. I highly recommend.

Our first time here, visiting from Duchess Country the food was fantastic and good selection beers/wine. The staff was incredible . Atmosphere was fantastic is nicely decorated and also elegant . Great location for next the station…

Ordered the Wrangler burger with barbecue sauce on the side. Cooked perfectly and best burger I’ve had out in awhile! Delicious! Great service. If you are in a hurry you would need to let the server know as they do not try to rush you out. My husband had the Filet with asparagus and mashed potatoes and it was cooked just the way he liked too.We will be back😊

Excellent dinner and great service from Heidi and the rest of the staff. The atmosphere was great and they were generous with there pours when making a drink. I had Ahi tuna for an appetizer and seafood over linguini both were cooked perfect. My wife and son both had surf and turf with brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. This is the second time that I have been there and would recommend to anyone who just wants a nice night out.

My husband and I wanted to grab something tasty tonight! Wanted to try some place we've never ate before and since we were heading to New Milford this was the 1st to pop up on the list. Day after halloween and thankfully they still had their cocktail/drink menu up! We had witches brew, vampire bite, and hayride punch. They were all extremely delicious, but I'd have to say vampire bite, and witches brew were our favorites! My husband said definitely should do vampire bite in pitcher hahah or giant fishbowl!
I had French onion soup, and he had the chili.
French onion soup so yummy and warming great for a chilly evening! I had the train wreck burger 🍔 everything was fresh, all the ingredients were delicious, and fresh. The meat though 🥲🤤 was the most tenderist, and juiciest I've ever had a burger!!! Everything about both of our meals were so deliciously filling. Exactly what we were looking for. The atmosphere was nice,warm, inviting and not to loud. The servers and chef and all kitchen help and floor they all did a wonderful job! I hope you guys continue to bring people happiness with the food your staff is putting out! I have nothing but high hopes for your establishment and those who help run & maintain it! With out them is like butter with no bread

TAKE TIME OUT AND ENJOY A GREAT MEAL BY YOURSELF OR WITH FRIENDS OR SOMEONE SPECIAL!!!

Also because I know to some it's very important the entire establishment from floor to bathrooms all around up & down was extremely CLEAN!
They work hard to keep good order there it's noticeable♡

Very large menu, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. Our waitress Heidi was very attentive. Will definitely return!

Our first time here, visiting from Texas, the food was fantastic! Even the apps have generous portion sizes. The staff was incredible, and our waiter took very good care of us. They even have a military discount!

Very good food, very hot plates. The restaurant is named after railroads. They have the rail the restaurant was named after on display you can look but ur not supposed to touch it(waitress gave me stink eye when I did.) Idk if that's a covid rule or a house rule.

Stopped in last night for dinner on a whim. I don’t usually dine out in NM because I am from here. There’s just not a ton of options and you can get sick of them fast. So I may have been a bit skeptical, but I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the service, and the food! I had the salmon which was so delicious!! I wish I could recreate that sauce! My bf had the nachos and he was pleased as well. Lizzy was an absolute sweetheart and we enjoyed laughing with her throughout the meal. I will definitely be back!! Thank you for a great night ☺

Amazing location with great beer selections. The food is typical American cuisine, but with a tasty spin on every dish. I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends for the nice atmosphere and great food!

Went for a bourbon tasting, the staff was great! The food and the tasting was amazing! Definitely going back.

Great waitstaff, generous bartender, amazing creative cuisine with equally creative cocktails. The best crab cakes I have had since I had them on the Chesapeake Bay! Real lump crab!! Comfy atmosphere along with beautiful wood decor. I was concerned of going during the busy dinner hour on a Friday night but they have plenty of staff. Highly recommend!

Good beer, good food, awesome day. We ordered the Mac and cheese, train wreck burger, and pound wings.

My new favorite spot in New Milford! The beef chili is some of the best I’ve had in a very long time.

Saladtini. Best salad I’ve ever had. I feel Great. It was low carb/calorie. 10/10 recommend.

The food here is pretty good. The bar service is lacking knowledge though. Simple drinks came out strange . The service was ok too. I'll definitely come back to eat. The burger was great except they are very stingy with the bacon.

Great meal & atmosphere! Meaghan , our server, was so welcoming & friendly. She really knew the menu & made us feel so at home! Can't wait to go back. Had the Rib Eye & a Maple Pork chop special, French onion soup, lava cake, great wine
