Beautiful spot for a quick visit.. there is a small parking lot by the bridge. Park an carefully walk through the bridge( there isn’t pedestrian lane, and cars drive through when ur in it!) on the other side of the bridge from the parking lot, there are trails that lead to the water Dam… and a great exterior view of the bridge! Love it!

A beautiful spot for a hike, the bridge is perched on the top of Husatonic river rapids and allows you to see white water stream right from its three windows on each side. Also it is surrounded by a picturesque preserve, which is a part of Appalachian Trail. On a nice weather day rafting lovers will challenge the rapids and you would watch them going down the river from the Bridge. The downside is, that the preserve is rather small and can be very crowded. We know the place very well, and go there all year around

One of the most beautifulest waterfalls I've seen in a very long time since I have seen one with such a beautiful view.

Nature trails around the bridge are the main attraction, wish I had more time to explore section of Appalachian trail. Views on Housatonic river from observation deck (accessible via short trail from parking lot) are very impressive.

Nice place for hiking or walking along the river. Parking area is very limited a specially on the weekend.

What's not to like? Easy hikes, more challenging scrambles, powerful waterfalls.
You can even walk the Appalachian trail!

Nice spot if you just want a quick breath of fresh air and some pretty views. Actually, the views are really nice on the winter, when the leaves are off the trees.

Or, you can take long walks.

Like any trail, it could be muddy if there's been lots of rain.

Really cool covered bridge. You can drive through it and there are places to park so you may take pictures. The surrounding area hosts trails.

Pretty little covered bridge with a hiking trail nearby and a beautiful view of the river with water flowing over large round rocks. The hiking trail follows the river and is part of the Appalachian Trail. I've included some of the hike as well!

I was passing through the area the other day and came across this bridge. I will be coming back in the semi-near future to explore the trails, but I did take a moment to go to the observation platform to take in the view of the merging rivers. If you arrive here via route 7, there is parking before you cross the bridge. Yes, you can drive across it, but there is no parking on that side of the bridge. The no parking side is where you need to go to take a short walk out to the observation platform where you can see the two rivers merge.
I will update after my return visit at which point, I will hike the woods. This place is a real beauty! More to come in the future...
Side note: Someone from the area told me legend has it that George Washington crossed that bridge... I cannot confirm or deny this.
Update (June 2021); We finally made it to the area to explore a little. There is a scenic trail that runs along the Hudson River. There is a little area down low that goes to the river's edge. The area is nice.
When there on the weekend, there is much more traffic and it is important to alternate traffic crossing the bridge, however, while we were there, several times, vehicles with New York license plates would follow the vehicle in front of them, doubling up and being totally rude to the people waiting patiently on the other side. Please be considerate and not scummy... Most people are decent, but the Bad Apples really do spoil the bunch.

Fantastic one way traffic bridge with a very small parking lot on either side. You may have to wait for the parking spot on a good day. Once you find a parking, river access is immidiate, and the viewing platform gives you a good view of the river.

Nice covered bridge, higher than usual traffic. There is a short trail down near the water which was definitely worth doing. There is a parking lot, but to get to the trail, you have to walk through the high traffic narrow bridge.

Right off route 7 - 10 car parking before bridge and 4 car parking after - walking trail up and around falls. Can be a 5
Minute stop or an hour or two depending on what trails you take. Pretty and worth stopping. Bulls Bridge Inn serves Dinner across road.

Still a very active roadway bridge. Only ONE LANE! Stop in each direction and alternate passing. Be very careful of pedestrians as there are many taking pictures of the falls and damn release waters. Excellent views through window cut outs. Parking area on both sides. (West side has larger area with signage explaining the area.)

Great place to sit next to the water, admire the covered bridge or hike the loop. There's way more than just the bridge. Parking is tight so you may have to park elsewhere but don't park where the signs tell you not to.

Beautiful moderate rated hike on the AT. Well maintained, not too crowded, and there's a decent sized parking lot. The view at the "top" is kind of underwhelming, but the rest of the hike makes up for it. I would love to come back here when it's more alive.

Really great views. A nice place to park. Amazing connection of waterways. The day we came there was a lot of water being moved through the dam. It was very impressive!

This is a nice place to take a walk. The Appalachian Trail runs right past it. There are nice photo spots of river and falls. There is a nice gravel parking lot with a Portable Toilet.

Parking is ample, unless you go at peak time, the walk to the pathway takes you through the bridge, alongside a two way road. Drivers are very aware and will always give you lots of room. Make sure to stop at the windows on the bridge and take in the view.

We made a quick stop to see this treasured bridge in CT. It did not disappoint! It’s timbers and structure was impressive. Loved the openings so you can see the river. If you have a chance it’s worth the stop.
