This park has some lovely views along the Willimantic River. Just up Merrow Rd over the bridge crossing the river, right turn on Riverside Drive, at the corner is another lovely trail which goes north on the river. Combine the two for a nice outing.

A lovely walk through the woods.. a rushing river to walk alongside.. (Kayak Or Canoe next time) Dog friendly on a leash.. people were nice along the way.. and if you walk up the wooded hill to the left of the water... You find yourself at the railroad tracks where we just walked.. quiet.. fresh air.. red shoulder hawk spotted.. I didn't realize the train still ran.. found that out when we finished our walk... 🚂 A very nice adventure indeed.😎

Great place to walk and enjoy nature. Plenty of trails to use, dogs are welcome. Porta pottys are available and the view of Mansfield Hollow Dam is awesome. Really enjoy going there.

This park is very well maintained and provides a great place for a brisk walk. The first section is a paved loop that isn't too long or arduous, yet still has great views of a beautiful meadow and a flowing river. For people who seek a longer walk, there are forested trails that lead alongside the river; however, these are more hilly and the terrain is more rough and rocky. The trails here even connect to other areas, providing for even more fun; it is possible to walk all the way to route 44 from this park. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has the spirit of adventure in them and an appreciation of nature.

Nicely maintained park. The paved loop is nice for walking with small kids, and it had benches to rest. it ha several other trails that go in the woods. Easy access to the river for fishing.

Nicely maintained walking trails by the river. One main paved loop, and another trail that goes through the woods. Nice spots to fish in the river. Good place to see small wildlife like rabbits, fish, frogs and birds.

Great walking trails. The views of the river are great. Looks like you can put in a canoe/kayak here as well. River access to dig your feet and maybe even swim in a couple of different spots.
