Parkside Pizza & Ice Cream

Went driving around with my Mom and Nephew, saw the ice cream sign and stopped.

Cute little spot. The pizza smelled so good. We wanted ice cream though. Homemade flavors. I had the cotton candy and peanut butter, my Mom had the black raspberry with the cotton candy and my Nephew have the peanut butter and chocolate chips cookie dough all on sugar cones. They were delicious. We wish the scoop were a little bit bigger because they flavors were delicious.

There is indoor and outside seating. Plenty of parking. Overall a great experience.

We have ordered from here quite often. Our favorite pizza is the Cheesy Tomato! And the Pepperoni! On occasion we have had a hiccup with our order, but when I say they always went above and beyond on their service to correct, is an understatement. The food is great, the service is amazing and we appreciate that you make your customers feel good.

We love Parkside pizza. We have tried most of their menu and everything is delicious. We are regulars and food is always consistent and staff is awesome. Great place to eat in or get take out.

Overview:

- Parkside is a little hidden gem of Bolton. I worked for a pizza place for 3.5 years and this place has some of the best pizza I've ever had. We have been going to Parkside ever since we moved to Bolton in 2020. It turned into a habit and we order nearly every week.

- We've had almost everything on the menu at this point and a lot of it is either great, or veryyy good.

- Overall, 10/10. Honestly you can't beat Parkside, and if you do; well it must be homemade or it's just not your thing.

Staff:

- The staff knows us as regulars at this point and already know our order when we call, unless we change it up on them :p.
- The whole staff is very friendly and quite accommodating (we've had some asks that seem like a stretch, and they always do it for us). The owners are in quite a bit and they seem to know all their customers like they are a neighbor, it is very wholesome - something you rarely see.

Milkshakes:

- Their milkshakes are about at Arethusa Farms quality; which, if you know anything about milk, is a really high standard.

Pizza:

- The pizzas they make are spectacular, some of the best I've ever had, and they never let me down.
- My favorite is my custom 4 topping build-your-own, roasted red peppers, bbq chicken, onion and garlic.
- I've personally had almost every 'special' pizza, and I have nothing but good to say.
- The prices for the small seem a bit high, so we always stick to larges, and the prices for those are quite reasonable, and worth it.

Calzones:

- The calzones are STACKED, 12" dough I think is used, and these things are thicc. Like, very thick. Half is enough to make you full, and a whole calzone is enough to make your stomach pop out.
- The price range for these is very agreeable, and honestly a steal if you make it a custom or one of the 'specials' they make.
- I personally get a BBQ chicken, onion, red pepper calzone. I will note that there have been a select few times where the calzones weren't cooked properly, but it's very infrequent.

Grinders/Wraps:

- The grinders/wraps they have are also very good, you can't really go wrong with anything you choose.
- One time we got the bacon cheeseburger grinder. I know its expensive, but honestly it is beyond worth it.
- The same goes for almost any grinder or wrap, I know I'm beating a dead horse, but all the prices balance out when you see what you get; and you might even think it's a steal.

Burgers:

- The burgers are also amazing, which is surprising since most restaurants never get them right. I ordered it medium rare, I ACTUALLY GOT IT MEDIUM RARE! That almost never happens for me.
- I would personally suggest the Baha or Rodeo burger, they're divine.

Apps:

- Lastly, the apps. We've had them all and like everything else...really good.
- The must have wings are actually very good contenders for 'wing' places, which isn't easy so kudos.
- I would not recommend the meatballs though, personally I didn't think it was worth it for what you got, but they were pretty good. They make them fresh daily so I see how the price factors in there.

I happened to be driving by the day before Thanksgiving. I stopped in for lunch, and they had Thanksgiving pizza. Turkey, Mashed potatoes, stuffing, cheese, and seasoning. It was incredible. The dough is done perfectly.

Will definitely be dropping back here again.

Do yourself a favor, and stop by for a slice.

Pizzas were very, very good! Ordered 4 large pizzas on a Saturday night for pickup the next day at 1:00pm. Pizzas were ready on time and super tasty. Will continue to get my pizza here!!

Pizza and grinders are delicious. Very friendly staff. Best pizza we have had in quite some time.

I order from here 2-3 times a week, they’re basically the only local option here in Hebron and I’m glad they are here.

I moved here 7 months ago and they’ve gotten better and better. Their pizzas are really great, they’re more Greek style than my preferred thin New Haven or New York style but they’re fantastic. Their grinders and wraps are really awesome too. I have them custom make a chicken bacon ranch wrap that I love, I think you guys should add it to the menu! The steak and cheese is fire as well.

Pizza is so delicious! Highly recommend, have NEVER been disappointed ordering here!

Backyard BBQ pizza was delicious!!
Pizza had great flavor and the bbq sauce was savory. Really good!

First off we have to start this review about the wings this place does. If you are a lover of great wings like myself, this place is next level! The owner told me that they brine the wings. Hands down one of the best chicken wings I’ve ever had. We got the Thai Sweet Chili.

The pizza is out of the world. We got the Carini based on the recommendation from staff. Wow oh wow, this pizza is darn good. The crust, the toppings, everything.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. The inside decor is chill and they show local artists from the area on the walls.

I’m not from the area - Boston based. I tell you one thing though, if I’m driving down the 84 in CT I will always stop at this place.

A true GEM!

This is my new favorite restaurant. Their pizza is good, not the best, but good and they deliver if you're close. Yet, they're the one restaurant I can finish a whole pizza at, so that's saying something. What really makes the restaurant so great, however, is the chicken tenders and variety. The chicken tenders are amazing- I'm still raving about how great they are. I haven't tried their ice cream, but the fact that they offer ice cream with pizza is great. They are also offering fried dough for fair week, so the options are great and the people seem very friendly who run it. Definitely recommend.

We went to Parkside because we heard about their gluten and dairy free pizza. My wife really misses good pizza since she developed these food allergies. Parkside's gluten and dairy free pizza is as close to "real" pizza as we've found. It was a bit of a drive, but worth it! My regular, pepperoni pizza was also excellent.

I don’t often give reviews, but I just have to say how impressed I am. We order here quite often, and today they made a mistake with my salad. After calling them to let them know, somebody had corrected the mistake and had it delivered within 15 minutes. Great food and customer service.

We LOVE PARKSIDE! The wings are INSANE! They are not that deep fried bs, they are baked in some magical oven! The cheeseburger grinder omg help help it is ridiculous!!! SO GOOD and the pizza is off the chain!

Food was excellent and all employees were friendly. Recommend it to everyone!

We have to talk about the crust...delicious, scrumptious doesn't do it justice. I'd use it as a makeshift raft to get off an isolated island with riptides with my volleyball; Wilson..." Wilson, I'm sorry Wilson "...I'd then cry myself to sleep on the lightest dough I've ever consumed.

It's better than Smirnoff sour berry lemon nips if the two were put into a category together. Dough wins every time!

As for the staff, I have a problem with them, they're genuinely good people and they go the extra mile. Why are you as good as the dough?.... The crust, dough, and bread are rocking. Stoner's choice and old Sicilian approved.

I'm going to go eat some now.

I thought it would be important to review my first experience here. We ordered two pizzas at the establishment and brought them home. Although I prefer thin crust pizza, these were fantastic. Perfect flavor, cooked great, and friendly staff. We are very excited to see a new local restaurant and hope we can count on them to stick around.

The only things I've had from here so far are GF cheese pizzas, GF dairy free cheese pizza and the GF "Carini Pie". The Carini Pie is probably my favorite pizza ever and the plain cheese is very good. The ability to order dairy free cheese is unexpectedly great for a small town place and 12" GF pizzas are hard to find. I also love the fact that caramelized onions are an option, that is hard to find anywhere.

We've ordered there a few times and certainly plan on doing so again, service has been very friendly to us. If I had to to put out any criticisms they'd be:

1.) It's hard to get them on the phone. I messaged them on facebook and they said they are working on this.

2.) The online ordering is great, the main issue I have with it is that it drastically overestimates delivery time for us. It'll estimate an hour+ but usually arrive in ~30 minutes. Certainly not a huge deal but I generally plan workouts around dinner and twice the pizzas arrived in the middle of that, third time I ordered I assumed it would only be 30 minutes and was right. This is probably something that can't be fixed for everyone so I'll just get use to knowing it's usually ~30 minutes.

Like I said, great pizzas and service, we will be going back.

I will get this out of the way early - I drive 30ish minutes to go here - it’s worth driving 3 hours for. I found out about Parkside through a chance encounter that lead me to the most amazing pizza I’ve ever had. Liz and Scott are knocking it out of the park with this food. Simple but delicious pies. It’s a cross between New England pan but it’s so much more. The crust is light and flaky but can support a hearty amount of toppings!! The variations of sauces of the pies are the real selling point - cashew cream aioli on the white pies is incredible.

I’ve been lucky to visit twice already and everything is incredible. A side of some fresh hot crinkle fries with a five cheese pizza is the perfect type of splurge. The mozzarella wedges are so crispy and delicious - but the marinara sauce knocks it out of the park. Large basil leaves spotted floating around in the warm amazing tomato sauce.

A lot of build your own options for burgers, pizza and salads. And make sure to save room for ice cream!! Liz made sure Parkside has the BEST ice cream from Big Dipper in Prospect.

Go visit Liz and her amazing crew at Parkside - she will make you feel like a guest in her kitchen and you get to eat pizza!!
