2.17.24 How did I not know about this gem until now? What a fabulous cafe and bakery. Lots of parking. You walk up and as you enter you go to the right in line. There are breads, cookies pies, etc. to pick up, along with items in the freezer, or you can get these amazing cupcakes, goodies to go. Or you can order, find a table, and they bring it all to you. Cozy, casual and comfy. The breakfast bowls and coffee were amazing. Can't wait to go back for other goodies.

Very nice Italian cafe place. Window views are beautiful ❤ Food is super delicious but the portion is not as generous as expected for its price. Coffee was very good. They do have vegetarian options. I went with my friends and the overall atmosphere was very cozy and family friendly. It was crowded on Saturday around 11 am.

We wish we could give them 6 out of 5 stars!
When we lived in northern CT LuAnn's was a local favorite spot for my now husband and I, but since moving to more central CT, we haven't been able to treat ourselves as regularly to their delicious bakery items and wide varieties of cafe style drinks in front of their cozy fireplace! So when we got married at the beginning of September this year, we already knew we wanted to hire LuAnn's as one of our vendors!

Even though we had lots of rain on our wedding day, Luann's brightened our special day with their delicious gluten free cupcakes delivered in Cooper, their 1970s Volkswagen beetle parked outside our venue! Josh arrived early and the line to get a cupcake was buzzing with excitement, with each friend and family member excited about what cupcake to choose! We printed a sign displaying the flavors we had selected (3 chocolate and 5 vanilla based flavors from a 3 page list) so everyone knew their options but all choices were superb! The cupcakes were perfectly displayed against the vibrant green color of the vintage car with the trunk popped open, with Josh engaging with our guests the entire time!

While we know a cake cutting is a traditional staple for weddings, we wanted something different and we could not recommend LuAnn's more! Please, if you are near the Ellington area and looking for quality made food and drinks, stop in to Luann's! AND if you are looking for an incredible addition to your already beautifully planned wedding, definitely consider hiring LuAnn's for their fabulous cupcakes!

I've been going to LuAnn's for years even though it's 30-40 minutes away from where I live now that I no longer pass by to go to my workplace. There's many items on the menu I haven't tried yet, but I don't think you can go wrong with anything you pick! Paninis, coffee, tea, salads, cupcakes. They make everything from scratch. Try everything. It will be delicious!!

Took my niece for her birthday lunch,, at her request, and it was wonderful as always!!!! This time I tried the BLTA aka the BLT with Avocado and it was amazing!!!! My niece built her own salad and had a lemonade cupcake and was happy as a clam. Thank you!!!

We used Luann's Cupcake Bug for our wedding and we absolutely loved it! It was such a cute addition to our event and our guests loved it. The cupcakes are TO DIE FOR - the hardest part was choosing flavors. Highly recommend for any event!

Update: The owner contacted me right away. The owner was amazing and understood why I was upset. He offered to make me another set of cookies, which I really appreciated. The cookies are beautiful and so detailed! I will definitely be back!

False advertising. The cookies shown in their Facebook post advertising the Mother's day cookie bouquet are not the cookies I received. The cookies I got were very plain and boring. Minimal decoration. Six cookies for $43, I expected better quality. Very disappointed.

Edit: here I am three years later to add more info because i forgot about this place and i love it again.
I got a london fog, which is earl grey tea plus milk. They steamed the milk so it feels quite luxurious. I also bought a strawberry cheesecake cup cake. Like all american style cupcakes, it's quite sweet with too much icing - however, it is delicious and moist. The view here is lovely. I have been looking for a place to relax and i will definitely come again.

Decent prices, creative pastries, and a homey atmosphere. The coffee is delicious. They offer a few milk alternatives and gluten-free choices. Come early for breakfast as it's a popular place (for a good reason).

I put out a question to a local Facebook page looking for a specific item (orange rolls) that I hadn’t seen on any menus. The owner of Luann’s reached out to me on that thread and asked me to send him a message and they would see what they could do. He quickly confirmed that they could make me orange rolls as I requested (even though this item is not typically on their menu). I was impressed by the kindness extended to me by the owner and the amazing customer service! I picked up the most delicious orange rolls I have ever had the day before christmas eve and my family has not stopped talking about how perfect they were! The orange rolls were affordable and had the most wonderful balance of sweetness and citrus with a pillowy texture! Thank you Luann’s!!

Ordered a 12" funfetti birthday cake for a surprise party - what a show-stopper! I've never attended a party where so many people raved about the cake, from guests to kitchen staff, who happily enjoyed leftovers as they helped us box some slices up to go, as it was more than sufficient for our crowd of 25. Delicious, expertly decorated, and a great bang for your buck. Thanks LuAnn's!

The service is beautiful, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, the quality of the tea and the food is incredible. I had sweet potato soup and the portion was huge. The flavor was classic delicious. I sat in there for about 6 hours to work so they obliged my request: English breakfast with oat milk and honey. Incredible.

For the month of November I am writing a reason to find gratitude in living every single day.
One of those days this month Luann's became my reason for gratitude.
...A special memory being made with my hubby, ...a break from Reality inspired by Spiced Hot Apple Cider, a pecan cinnamon roll, Pie-Caken, gentle music, soft fireplace flames.

The pecan roll melted in our mouths with just enough sweet stickiness, covered in soft pecan bits - OH, YUM YUM YUM YUM!!!!

With a name like Pie-Caken, we HAD to give the apple crumb pie, baked inside a vanilla cake, slathered with cinnamon butter cream frosting, a try.

The half an hour of comfortably sitting in this wonderful little Bakery and Cafe was almost like driving up to Vermont.
Luann's Bakery & Cafe always reminds me of the kind of homey, Vermonty, speciality, locally sourced, wonderful little shops and eateries that our son and daughter-in-law have always treated us to when we go up to NEARLY CANADA, VERMONT for a visit. For a little while we TOOK a break and it felt like the kind of treat that we only do if ON VACATION.
I am THANKFUL that today we realized that we don't - NO, WE SHOULDN'T- wait for a special occasion to JUST TREAT OURSELVES as if we are in a SPECIAL PLACE.... and Luann's is just the perfect kind of place to get that getaway feeling.

I am grateful right now for this all to-brief respite and this wonderful place to have it in.

We ordered a cake from LuAnn’s for our son’s first birthday party. I was so happy with the friendly and quick responses I received during the ordering process, and the cake was ADORABLE and delicious! Will definitely be ordering from them again.

I love supporting small local businesses and this is one of my favorites. Smiling faces every time and very good coffee and breakfast items(albeit quite expensive).

Really chill spot. Busy but fast service. Obviously loved by the locals.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. I tried their broccoli cheddar soup which I could eat all the time and the cupcake was perfectly light but delicious! Great place to come with friends or by yourself.

Great little spot to grab a quick bite. & not just for cupcakes and other homemade baked goods. Their Egg sandwiches on their homemade Wecka bread is so good. You will never find anything like it anywhere else. Their Panini sandwiches are great too!
