Star Hardware

We stopped in Star for the first time on the chance that we would find some hooks and curtain rods. This was our first visit and I’m glad we did. This is definitely your old fashion hardware store and provides a much more relaxed and pleasant experience than shopping in a big box store. The staff was attentive and guided us to the location of the items we needed. From there we decided just to browse through their aisles. Prices were reasonable and the store well stocked. The three store cats manage the store and definitely enjoyed our attention as we paid the cashier. While we do not live close and have our own local hardware store, we will definitely take a trip here again to shop!

Nice little hometown hardware store. A little bit of everything. Prices are decent and on par with the box stores. Staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely return for my hardware needs in the future. Enjoyed the cats running around the store.

Great place for doing local and not dealing with home Depot. I come here to rent the aerator every year, $50 for for hours, can't go wrong. Make sure you call ahead to ensure your can rent it. Although, in the past I never did and never had an issue, but figured it was a matter of time do I didn't take my chances last week when I went.

This store is packed full of products you need for small and medium projects. Electrical, plumbing, and hardware. They even have household and yard items. I buy my farm fresh eggs there, too!

Small town hardware store where you can always find just what you are looking for. If you need a specialty item, they will get it for you, if at all possible. They even delivered a large lawn ornament that wouldn't fit in my car, just because they do!

This hardware store is the best.
Been going there for yrs.yesterday bought 3 caulking tubes of Henry’s asphalt caulk (very bad product).
They refunded cost because they are so customer friendly.
In my opinion do not buy Henry’s asphalt caulk.

I've been in Ellington area for 50 years
And star Hardware has always been a top shelf Hardware that has everything you would ever need. Even sense Home Depot and Lowe's I still choose to support star Hardware in Ellington and Tolland. They're great people they're knowledgeable and you could talk to them unlike the other two big box stores. If you need it go there then got it

If they don't have it. Nobody does. Better selection of draw and cabinet hardware and pulls, then the big box hardware stores. From beehives to tents to sockets to little red wagons

They have the most complete set of hardware...better than Ace, Lowes and Home Depot. If you need screws, bolts or whatever...Star Hardware is the place for you.

This is an older hardware store with a ton of stuff in it and they are very helpful with finding what you need. They also rent equipment and tools.
