Cedar Falls Mayor's Office

I want to share how disappointed I am in the City and the new Mayor that I voted for. I consider myself a good citizen and pay my taxes. One morning (6:00am) on the way home from the gym I hit an open man hole. I drove my car immediately to a dealership because all of my dash lights on my car were lit up. I had to pay to replace a new tire and rim. $500.00 out of my pocket. An insurance lady from the city that is located out of state contacted me and reassured me that there would be an investigation into the matter. After her investigation found the city not responsible. WOW!! I'm at fault? The city has a code in place that all manholes must be locked, but apparently that doesn't apply. Later that week the manhole was repaired and has new tar around it. REALLY? Shame on you Cedar Falls. You can do better.
