The Runner’s Flat

I've never been properly fit for running shoes - due to knee problems and goals of becoming a runner I decided to visit TRF. Steffoni helped me find my 1st pair of actual running shoes that feel amazing. She put me in a pair of shoes then watched me run on a treadmill to see if there were any abnormalities with the way I run. From there she brought out about 10 pairs of shoes from a variety of brands and colors to try out until I found the perfect fit and comfort. Steffoni is very knowledgeable and patient. She also informed me that if I did not find the perfect color of a shoe it could be shipped to me in Atlanta. I'm excited to put some miles on my new shoes and can't wait to hangout with the Runner's Club the next time I'm in town. Once again, thank you so much Steffoni!

Awesome customer service! They were able to help me find a great running shoe for my iron man journey. The gate analysis was interesting! The staff was also really nice about me walking in wearing barefoot shoes, no one laughed too hard about it. I’ll definitely be coming back to Runner’s Flat for the next pair.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. They always take the time to do a proper assessment of how you run to make sure you get the right shoes. They also put on a ton of local running activities like group runs and training teams. The Runner's Flat is a huge reason the running community in the Cedar Valley is so tight knit and special.

I haven't been a "runner" for 40 years... but have decided to get back into it. Since i like to shop local i headed to The Runner's Flat. James greeted me and did a great job asking questions and guiding me to the right shoes. Great place to go!

This is a great place to get running gear whether you are a student athlete or just a casual runner. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and they offer the best shoes for very reasonable prices. I've been a happy customer for two years in a row. Would recommend!

Stephanie is a true gem to this business! She was able to size me and also pay attention to how I was walking before giving me shoe recommendations to best fit my situation. I am someone who has recently suffered a knee injury so having all the support in the right places is essential. I cannot thank her enough and I will be back!

I love this store so much. I'm pretty sure it's my favorite business in Cedar Falls. Super knowledgeable staff, and they remember my individual foot health needs when it's time for new shoes. I love that they give back to the community and foster a running culture in the Cedar Valley, too.

Went today for the second time and the lady that helped me was awesome. After watching me run, she gathered a plethora of different shoes for me to try on and made some awesome recommendations. We receive the best customer service every time at the Runner's Flat. Hollis was knowledgeable about the store's products and took plenty of time with each person in my family to recommend shoes for our individual needs. I was impressed with the variety of shoes and socks!

The best customer service in the Cedar Valley. Had a manufacturing issue with a pair of shoes. They stood behind them ASAP to get me a new pair and were going to work on the manufacturer to replace but did not want me to be without. They are very knowledgeable about the products they sell. I will be back for my next pair. A+ all the way around.

Nothing compares to the level of attention and detail one receives at a local, specialty run shop as compared to a big box store. If you've never been properly fitted for running shoes before, do yourself a favor and go to TRF. Your hips, knees and ankles will thank you! The staff at TRF is extremely knowledgeable about all of the products they sell, and on top of that, they offer an easy going carefree environment with no pushy sales or upsells. Prices are competitive to anything you can find online or in a big box store. Great overall experience.

I got my first pair of running shoes here when I was starting cross country in 7th grade. They analyzed how I ran and recommended shoes for my run. I've kept with the same shoe over the last 6 year's because it is the best shoe for my running style. I only ever just get the newest generation of it. The staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming here. A must stop store for shoes for any level of runner. You won't be disappointed you stopped here.

This place was recommended by a friend a d I couldn't be more pleased with the service, price and quality. The staff looked at the way I walk and my arch then recommended a shoe based on my needs. I was in the market for a walking shoe. They had my exact size in stock. I was expecting to pay more for all of the attention to detail. Not today. Happy feet.
