Thunder Ridge Apartments

I haven't lived in an apartment for about 25 years, got a divorce, and moved my son and I here. I was worried about noise, landlords not caring about the property..but I've been here since Oct of 2019 and was pleasantly surprised. They are very responsive to maintenance requests, and phone calls. They have an online portal as well that makes it easy to pay rent, and file any maintenance requests. The maintenance team is nice, the office staff is always nice if have to interact with any of them, I often come home after work and can smell that someone cleaned the hallway. I love that! They take good care of their buildings. They allowed me to have a dog over 40 lbs. with an added monthly fee and even bring him treats when they come to do any necessary maintenance! I had brand new appliances and carpet. Its not outdated looking like most apartments I've seen. Definitely worth the rent. I'll be here for a long time,until I qualify for the senior apartments lol

Am updating a prior review from a few years ago. My experience at TR is and has been very positive. Great, quiet CF location, in nice neighborhood yet close to everything. Apartment is fairly small but very adequate for current needs. Excellent large balcony makes unit feel bigger. Office staff is unfailingly polite, knowledgeable, and professional. Maintenance staff is super-responsive (same day or following day at the latest) and knows what they're doing and are able to quickly resolve any issues or requests. Grounds are attractive and well maintained. Very good crew all the way around!

My husband and I have been living here since November 2017 and have been very satisfied. The maintenance staff fix things immediately, the office staff are pleasant and helpful, and in the winter the snow is promptly plowed in the parking lots and the street running through the complex. The grounds are nicely kept up, and the views of the adjoining wooded area and nearby ridge are beautiful. I even had a "conversation" with a couple of deer near the office once. Thank you!

We spent 3 months in a furnished apt at Thunder Ridge. We had sold our home of 48 years and needed a place to live. We found it clean and had everything we needed, tasteful furnishings. The front office staff was more than helpful and so friendly! We couldn't have asked for more. We only needed maintenance once and they were very prompt. Maintenance is making sure grounds and outside is well maintained (redid trim around garage doors while we were there). My husband enjoyed the exercise room. We hope to return for 3-4 months when we return from our winter home.

We have lived here for over four years. We have had very few problems; maintenance issues are taken care of right away, and noise issues are swiftly dealt with as well. We are quite happy and intend to stay here until we move out of the area, whenever that may be. We have lived in quite a few different apartment complexes over the years and this one is definitely one of the best!

I love living here! I moved to Cedar Falls from a small town of 200 people. I've visited other apartments and have friends that have lived in the area, but I liked Thunder Ridge the best. I think they're reasonably priced for the condition and size of the apartments. I also like the area because it's tucked on the edge of Cedar Falls, so it's quiet like the small town I came from, but it's not too far from Downtown or University Ave.

My experience with Thunder Ridge is awesome. I loved my stay at the community. Maintenance guys were prompt. The management people were helpful all the time. The owner Adam Clark is a charming gentleman. He was the nicest landlord that I have ever found. I highly recommend the community to others.

What a great place! We lived in Thunder Ridge apartments for a few months while looking for a home to buy and we really enjoyed our time there. Rent is reasonable and location is very convenient. The staff was very nice, courteous and prompt when things needed fixed. The property is very well maintained with beautiful landscaped grounds. I would highly recommend Thunder Ridge!

I love this place. There is an onsite gym (small but no one is ever there and its in a beautiful building, so its like my own private gym) It also has wifi on the property which is super convenient. I have a great deck off my apartment, its huge! My only qualm was the laundry facilities; the machines were a little old but we just got new machines in our building which I'm super excited about. I'd highly recommend this place. The one time I did have a problem the manager, Kandi responded same day which i highly appreciate!

Staff is very accommodating and understanding. The apartments are lovely with good space, modern kitchen, dishwasher, central air, and quiet living space.

I lived in these appts for a year and would highly recommend this place. If your looking for a quiet, well kept complex this is a great place. Also great place for my children to play outside. The management staff was always helpful and friendly if I needed anything!

Quiet neighborhood they have a little fitness/gym area, welcome dogs, have s little dog park area, and the shortness are nice too!

The apartments are great, and the management is even better. Good management is hard to come by in Cedar Falls, I would definitely live here again.

Its a great place to live, they handle any issue in a timely manner. I've been very happy here and would recommend it to anyone as the staff is wonderful.

Lived there for a few years. The staff was very nice, and would bend over backwards to help out with any issues one may have. Maintaince was usually very prompt. The property is kept up rather well considering the age of the complex.
Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good apartment in Cedar Falls. Safe and usually quiet area of town.
The only downside was the apartment I lived in had water problems. I lived in a basement apartment. Whenever there was a hard rain, water would sometimes seep into the bedroom floor rendering the carpet soggy. Would sometimes fear days when it would rain all day.This happened to various apartments on my floor.

With that said management tried their best to make things right for the inconvenience of the water issues when they arose. Just be sure to get a second or third floor apartment if you move here.

Great place to live! The staff was accommodating and very friendly. Maintenance issues were always fixed the day of or the next day depending on when it was submitted. The gym could use a few more options as far as weights but for the most part has your basic needs for just a small one time fee.
