Gateway Park

Cool place to hang out in CF.
Kids love it.

Especially with an ice cream store nearby.

Gateway Park is a large park just off Cedar Falls/Waterloo, Iowa. It boasts a huge lake, in which visitors, swim, fish & use watercraft.

There are also covered eating/activity structures at various places in the park. And many places to go camping, either traditional or with recreational vehicles. There is also a nice walking trail.

The park itself is filled with with many trees, plants, and flowers - a virtual forest. Many animals are there. Sometimes you can see an American Bald Eagle flying around. The trees are especially beautiful when their leaves change during the fall.

I highly recommend going to the park and enjoying the bountiful nature it offers.

Nice riverfront park with open grass, a playground, a large shelter for events, and a drinking fountain with a trail connecting Big Woods Park and Pfieffer Park. Great place to start a run/walk or to have a group event or to take kids. Downtown is also just a short walk across the river bridge!

Great park located a short walk/bike from downtown. Nice place for a picnic or gathering, or a rest from a long bike ride. The bike service station is wonderful.

Gateway Park has grown and usability especially after the 2008 flood! It has tens of thousands of dollars in infrastructure with electrical hand holes allowing the Sturgis Falls celebration to set up each year without overhead wiring!

Great little park to stop and play at or walk along the water at.

Great place to take children to play. A decent sized playground. Very close to main street cedar falls for walking. Very nice lake next to it.

Nice paved trail with wooded trails off to the side. Perfect day. Allot of cyclists enjoying as well.

Nice park lots of room to run around. Follow the bike trails all over. Usually there for Sturgis.

A great venue for events especially Sturgis Falls! Has all of the infrastructure and amenities needed to put on a first-class event!
